The next day, The boys all had a meeting with Alex.

I didn't know about anything that they talked about, but I was alright with not knowing.

We all sort of thought that if I were there, Alex might be more tight lipped since he didn't like to share some information in fear of judgment.

I understood his worry even if I found it absurd.

After their meeting Alex had a serious look on his face.

I stood up from the couch to greet all the boys.

"Nick, did you mention Luke?"

"Luke?" Alex asked. "Who's Luke?"

"She means Luke Spiller." Nick said, sitting on the couch.

"That bloke from The Struts?!" Matt asked.

"Right!" Nick said.

"I love that man." Jamie said, absent mindedly.

Everyone looked at each other with wide eyes for a moment before busting up with laughter.

"Giving Christine a run for her money?" I suggested.

He punched me on the arm lightly.

I smiled.

"Anyways, he's in town right now. He invited us to his gig this week."

"Oh hell, I'm down!" Matt cheered.

"Me, too!" Jamie said.

"Pip?" Nick looked at me.

"Nick, I was there, I already said yes!" I laughed.

"Al?"

"Yeah, alright." He said.

"Right, how about we go catch some lunch?" Matt suggested.

"I do concur." I said.

"Ah yes, quite! Come lady O'Malley!" He exclaimed in his Queen voice.

I giggled and approached him, linking my arm to his.

"Sir Jamie of Cook! Would you care to join us?" Matt exclaimed.

"I quite think so." He said, brushing his hair back before joining Matt, linking their arms.

"Sir Jamie," Matt cooed. "What muscle you have..."

"Lord help me." Jamie whispered.

I giggled.

"Brother, oh brother! Nicholas!" I began, but Matt interrupted me.

"No, no, Nicholas is far too quaint. He shall be... Sir Nickolai of The Valley!"

"Sir Nikolai, join us!" He exclaimed.

I smiled widely at his creativity.

"Don't ever call me Nikolai again." He laughed.

He linked arms with me.

"Alexander David Turner, Prince- Nay, King of the Arctic, join us on our quest for sustenance!" Matt exclaimed.

He cracked a small smile.

"Me thinks I shall accompany you lot to a near by venue of dining." He said as he stood.

I smiled as I watched him in adoration.

God, I loved him so much.

It was still surreal sometimes.

That he was mine, and I was his.

I looked down and smiled as he linked arms with Nick.

Then, as a happy, laughing group... We set out to go eat.

"Are you excited, love?" Alex asked me in the back seat of the van.

He put an arm around my shoulders, pulling me to him.

"Yeah. Luke seems really nice so I'm excited to see him play." I smiled up at him.

He looked at me for a few seconds with an undetectable emotion in his eyes.

I'd never quite seen this look.

"That's good." He finally said, pressing a kiss to my temple before hugging me tightly to him.

I felt him let out a sigh.

I hoped he was okay.

Since the meeting with the boys, he's been a tad distant, or, absent is a more suitable term.

To put it all in a simple way, he looked like he'd been thinking too much.

But, it was his business.

You couldn't truly force him to tell you anything.

So I didn't push.

We pulled around the back of the venue, and Luke was standing around with a few other boys.

He was wearing the sparkliest red shirt I'd ever seen, tight black pants, jewelry, and glittery eye makeup.

To say the man was attractive was an understatement.

We parked and got out of the car, and the loud Luke greeted us with a large cheer.

"Nick!" He hugged him.

"Oy, Matt! How've you been, Mate?!"

"Mr.Turner!"

"Is that my man, I see?" Luke stopped as he looked at Jamie.

He then went up and hugged Jamie.

" 'Old on, that's my man!" Alex shouted.

Luke parted from Jamie but kept an arm around him.

"Oh really?" He quirked an eyebrow.

"I thought you were mine!" Matt spoke up to Alex.

I held back the urge to laugh as I made my way to Nick.

"Is there something going on here that no one bothered to fill me in on?" I asked.

"You know," Nick threw an arm around my shoulder. "I'm not even so sure, myself." He said with an amused smile as he watched the boys banter.

~~~
We had been introduced to all of the boys in Luke's band.
The bass guitarist was a tall lad named Jed. He was quite nice, and had bright eyes. Not quite like my own, but definitely bright.
The drummer had an interesting name. His name was Genthin.
He was quite lovely as well.
Soon they took the stage, and we jumped and danced as they began to play.
I'd never known how great they were!
They had that rock vibe, the care free, but hype sound that people were attracted to.
You couldn't hold still.
It filled you with adrenaline and made you dance.
The words held a certain weight to them, as well.
They meant something, they had a message, they were real words and not just noise.
I really liked them, to say the least.
While they were playing one song, I looked over at Alex, who hadn't really said much or danced much aside from nodding and tapping his foot.
He even kept his sunglasses on for most of the time.
I moved between the boys and walked up to Alex, kissing his cheek quickly before returning to my spot and continuing to dance.
Luke was very interactive with the crowd.
I realized that he reminded me of someone else.
Steven Tyler of Aerosmith.
The way he sand and his flamboyancy resembled that of Steven.
He had a bit of Mick Jagger, as well.
It was quite epic.
He looked around and sang to specific people and to groups, and most of his songs had moments that people could either clap along to or sing along to, and it was great.
Once during their song "Just a Matter of Time", he looked over to us, pointed, and then made eye contact with me as he winked.
I smiled and continued to dance about.
After the show was over the sweaty boys came running towards us.
We moved aside and let them catch their breath and change before we got to talk to them again.
Luke was first out.
"Did you lot like the show?" he asked.
The boys responded with their yes' and how great the performance was.
"And how about you, little miss thing?" he asked, throwing an arm around my shoulders.
"I loved it! Also... I remembered who else you remind me of." I said as he backed up.
"Who?" he said, his touch still light on my shoulder, eyes staring straight into mine.
"Steven Tyler and Mick Jagger."
He was blank for a moment.
"Nick, she's the gift that just keeps giving, isn't she?" he said, pulling me in for a hug.
I laughed as I hugged him back.
"I quite like this one." he said as he parted, poking my nose ever so lightly.
Alex then appeared behind me, his arm going around my shoulder and pulling me to him unnecessarily tightly.
Luke stared at us for a moment.
"Are you two a thing?" he asked, seeming unphased.
I expected Alex to say something but he stayed silent.
"Yeah." I said for him.
He looked back at Alex.
"Don't worry, mate." he said, scooting over to Al's other side and throwing his arm around his shoulder.
"I'd sooner go after you than your girl." he said, winking cheekily at Alex.
I smiled, holding back a laugh.
Alex had taken off his glasses now.
He winked at Luke and we all laughed.
"Well I'll be over here, then!" I laughed, removing myself from Alex's grip and seeing Jed come out.
"Great show, Jed!" I exclaimed to him.
"Thanks!" he smiled, throwing his arm around my shoulder in a one armed hug.
"No problem." I replied hugging him back lightly.
Alex and I were dropped off back home around 11 at night.
We got inside alright and almost immediately Alex went to the bedroom.
When I got up there, he was in his pajamas, sitting up on edge of the bed, back towards me.
I stared at him for a few moments.
I changed quietly and carefully and he still didn't budge.
Angst entered my head.
I slowly crawled onto the bed and crawled behind him, bringing my arms around him in a gently hug.
He leant his head against mine.
I moved and kissed the side of his jaw.
I then moved away to lay down.
"Are you alright?" I asked.
He turned and showed his face, but he didn't look at me.
"It's nothing." he replied.
So he wasn't alright.
"It can wait." he said, laying down and holding me close to him tightly.
He was holding me tighter than he usually would.
"I'm not going to leave you for Luke, you know." I said, thinking maybe Luke's apparent flirty nature was on his mind.
"I know." he replied.
"I love you, you know." I said after a few moments of silence.
I felt him gulp and he pulled me closer.
"I know." he said, kissing the top of my head. "I know."
~~~

Two a.m.

It was around two when I woke up again.

Alex was not in the bed.

He was not in the bathroom.

I got up, and wondered sleepily through the home.

I found him sitting on his couch, his face in his hands, and a cup of tea in front of him.

"Alex, what's going on, are you alright?" I asked.

He looked up at me, eyes full of sorrow.

Then he said a few words that never sound good.

They especially don't sound good at two a.m.

"We need to talk."
