Yunho's hands were being rougher and rougher on him the further they moved down the corridors. Mingi had no idea of where they were going, legs only moving with the flow of Yunho's leading position. Their tangling kisses wandered down memories lane to the times when they never doubted each other. And the crave to taste his blood felt like centuries of starvation, burning down his throat as he clawed seething hot skin.
Mingi clamped Yunho's shirt when he kicked the grand door open, heavy breathing steering them through the darkness of the chamber as the door closed off the illuminating light from outside when it smacked close again. The vampire was flowing with every step, eyes hazing as he felt how his senses picked up on Yunho's bloodstreams.
A beat later he was thrown on a bed, the other's pulsating webbing veins closing around him until it stung in his mouth. The vampire prince spread his legs, sturdy arms holding his head from falling into the soft covers. A deep rumble vibrated along the skin across his chest as the scenting nose moved along long his body until hooking into his neck. Ahead of the act, Yunho's long fingers slipped down along the skin of his arms where the shirt had slipped up, hands ending their tracings down around the vampire's cold wrists there still rooted down into the bed where his hands supported his weight from falling down into the covers.
Yunho's knees nudged the inside of his thighs when he leaned more into him, possessively growling into his neck while licking his lips crazed by instincts. Mingi simply let him, legs bending around Yunho as he sweetly brought his lips to Yunho's earlobe and sucked with only the lightest pressure from his long fangs.

And then he started rolling his hips into his crotch, enforcing pulsating warmth to rush into his groin. Yunho nearly lost his balance, a breathy moan rolling off his tongue as his body shuddered from the ecstasy filling under his skin. His forehead landed on the other's shoulder in an attempt to gain consciousness of his own actions. The other prince had no mercy for how much he had missed their bodies moving like this; dancing against each other and knowing each other's next move to perfection.
Yunho breathed hard, eyes glowing their protruding golden colour in the darkness, meeting with the royal red rubies, seducing his blood to be spilled on his tongue. His head was spinning so much that had he not been holding onto Mingi's wrists, he would have stumbled down into the bed.
"Mingi.." he moaned, knees trembling with so much anticipation as the prince ground them together.
He chased after the touch, his wolf excitingly howling inside his head the more it grew fond of the thought of having Mingi, touching him, tasting him, loving him.. as he used to do.
Yunho hated it. Everything about it.
Gritting his teeth at the dangerous position he had been drawn into, he forced with all his might himself to bring the words across his lips. He had to. He must.
"Mingi, we shouldn't do this," he pressed, hips shying away from Mingi's but his head remained resting on his shoulder.
"What.. why not?"
Something knotted in his stomach when he heard the other prince's next words.
"But I miss touching you.. Yunie.." Mingi whined softly, dragging his words down his neck with the soft kisses he placed there, "Please, I promise to be good for you. Always, the best."
The growl that tore from Yunho startled even himself and he pulled entirely away from the other, eyes widely staring down at Mingi in the middle of his bed, legs spread for him.
Yunho could smell the arousal mingling in the dense air in here.
"No," he stated, "We're done. Get out of here."
He didn't need to see Mingi to tell that he had upset him, emotions threatening to fall when Yunho very well knew the other prince was the most vulnerable in his bed.
The werewolf prince trampled on the feelings Mingi had opened up to him, being ruthless as ever. He would not care about it.
Then he did the mistake and glanced at the vampire through the darkness, heart somewhat still wringing around in his chest when he saw the other's wet, glinting eyes and pursed lips.
Yunho knew Mingi was only playing with him right now and that nothing of this was true emotions anyway. Only ever wanting to use him for his own pleasure.
"I won't repeat myself; I want you out of my chamber." Out of his life.
The vampire prince regarded him with disbelieving eyes, and the sight was heart-crushing. Yunho stood his ground either way, facial expression carved in stone despite every effort his wolf put into rushing forward and embracing the other again.
"How many times shall I tell you that it was never me who wanted that to happen?"
"I don't care whether you were morally part of the plan or forced to do it - you were still the one trying to kill my father that night!"
The vampire surged up from the bed, but Yunho only stepped back, distancing them again as the other spoke, "Please, Yunho, you know that I had no choice but obey. This has nothing to do with our relationship, please Yunho, please let me prove it to you!"
He shook his head, emotions making him shake in so much rage, "Mingi, you used me to get within the borders of my pack. I trusted you! I fucking trusted you with all my heart! And I have never regretted anything more than that in my entire life. You don't deserve any of me - you don't deserve anyone in your eternal life!" he breathed hard, eyes flickering with gold in the darkness as he growled, "Do you get it now? - we're over! And I hope that you will rot alone in the darkness for the rest of your everlasting life."
For a moment there were no thoughts swarming his head as raw silence enveloped him in a smothering blanket. Mingi left him, as he had told him to do.
Not before the door out to the hallway softly closed, Yunho threw himself onto his bed, tears rolling down his cheeks as he whimpered into the soft covers. He crumpled at no time, pieces of himself falling from each other as he drowned in his own tears.. choking on his own foul words.
Sometimes he just wished that he and Mingi wouldn't have differed by species - like that, everything would have been so much easier. For underneath the surface of Mingi's cold facade was a sweet and endearing man, one who would shower you with his undying love. But their love had been flawed! Mingi would never have any reason to be true to his words when he lived an infinity of lives and Yunho only had one. The vampire prince could find another lover any time he would, and Yunho would just be a bunch of bones buried in the earth, forgotten the second his spirit returned to nature again.
Then why was he still so sad?

Daylight trickled away through heavy, dark clouds before night came along. He wasn't the only one who had found his way down to the enormous dinner table, expecting another meal to be served. In fact, they all slowly came along, silently sitting down at their respective seats, and were served their supper.
The phoenix prince's eyes drew across the table as he seemed to analyze all the other princes' appearances. It would take no expert to figure out the mood was going under the ground. Now and then discreet glances were sent across the table - a shyness of emotions that made Seonghwa want to scoff out loud, although he didn't, keeping himself out of any of those childish behaviours.
Prince Jongho who sat on his left side had been awfully quiet compared to those days when he had accused every single one in this castle of having poisoned prince San. Now that Seonghwa in fact knew who was the one to blame, he thoroughly considered if he should tell him - perhaps it would remove some of the tension between them.
Seonghwa placed down his cutlery, fetching a napkin and dapping his lips with it. From the corner of his eyes, he noticed Jongho's longing glimpses across the table, observing how the other water prince sweetly conversed with the werewolf.
Seonghwa moved his courtesy to the anxious boy on his side, insides feeling somehow pity for him, "Have you and prince San known each other for a long time?" he asked, silently placing his elbows onto the table and folding his hands.
The sudden question startled the smaller prince greatly, shoulders tensing as his eyes flew right back at Seonghwa as if he had been caught doing something forbidden. The phoenix rested his chin on top of his folded hands as he sensed how words bubbled in the other's throat.
"Y-yeah.. since our parents introduced us when we were little."
He noticed how the siren nervously gulped and glanced down at his plate, "We have been best friends ever since.."
Seonghwa hummed, "That's sweet," his head tilted a little more when Jongho tensed at the little sound of San's giggle.
It was obvious that something troublesome was going on inside the siren's head - something that Seonghwa just couldn't help himself but want to figure out some more..
"You should talk to him if you really are that close. I can see that something is clearly burdening you."
Offended, the siren suddenly scoffed, eyes hardening as he scowled in Seonghwa's direction, "You are not my therapist."
"But you didn't deny that something is actually wrong, I am just saying.." Seonghwa sent him a smirk before looking up at the heavy doors being burst open.
There, a not-so-missed prince made his presence at the top of the stairs, a huge grin looming on his face as he stepped down to them, making sure that his loud appearance was being heard in the entire castle. Seonghwa rolled his eyes, taking a look around the other princes by the table and finding prince Mingi to be the only one disregarding the demon by sipping the red liquid from his chalice instead.
"Ya'll bow down, peasants, for your king has returned!"
His flamboyant, over-comfortable display filled the room to the brim followed by the reaction of tension and annoyance.
A cloud of black dust appeared where he just had walked, reappearing on top of the table right in front of the emotionless vampire. Hongjoong flung the chalice out of his hand and onto the floor, having a trail of blood running along the line of where the clinking drinkware was rolling off to.
It made Mingi hiss at him, hands gripping the demon's wrists as he pushed him away, further into the middle of the table. Hongjoong didn't startle.
"And first now can you look at me, huh?" Hongjoong said with a crooked smile, not so bothered by the strong hold the other prince had on him.
A second later prince Mingi harshly shoved him across the table, but after overturning a single glass, the demon vanished into black dust again. Now suddenly moving to stand where Seonghwa could not see him. The fairie prince seated on the opposite side of the table wore a horrified expression.
The sensation of a smooth hand caressing his cheek made speckles of embers emerge in his eyes.
A hot breath tickled his ear, "Have you missed me?"
Seonghwa didn't move in his seat as he knew the demon soon would be burning his hand off from Seonghwa's scorching hot skin.
"I would suggest that you move away from my seat and find your own before I literally will be melting your skin off. You've already caused us too much trouble, demon."
Reluctantly, he could feel the other draw himself away from him, a heavy sigh on his lips, "You're no fun."
He moved to the only empty spot around the dinner table, pouting at them all when no one spoke a single word, "Why are you all so boring? Is this the only reaction I will get when I finally return from weeks of misery? Aren't you even the slightest happy to see me? I could have been dead by now, you know."
The dragon prince was only glaring at him, his long dangling earrings clanking together as he shook his head, "How can you expect us to be happy about your return? You must be fucking insane."
Wooyoung did not regret any of his words, Seonghwa noticed. But of course, the demon would not be affected at all.
Hongjoong laughed at the statement, eyes squinting into crescent moons as if it humoured him.
"Oh, Wooyoung, anyone would be happy to see me, if just they would know that I am one step closer to figuring out how we are able to get out of this castle."
The silence broke the tension around the wooden table, and Seonghwa loathed the way he also now was looking at Hongjoong with interest in his eyes.
The dragon prince stuttered across his next words, "W-what do you mean? You know how to get us out of here?"
Mingi's deep voice growled in response to the cackling demon, "No you don't, you're lying."
"Believe me or not, but I am speaking the truth," the demon showed them his sharp teeth, "Do I maybe look like someone who would be lying to you about something this serious?"
Someone among them snorted at Hongjoong's rhetorical comment. Obviously, no one believed him now.
"You're just trying to fool us, of course, you wouldn't know anything more than we do," Yunho claimed, and Seonghwa saw how his fingers around his cutlery were turning white from how much he surely must be holding his anger back.
The demon simply leaned back in his chair, swinging his boots up on top of the table as he continued his sick ramble, "No, it is true. In order to get out of here we would have to sacrifice our lives for the matter of saving the world."
"That's stupid - you want us all to kill ourselves so that we won't ever be a problem to the world ever again?"
Hongjoong shrugged his shoulders, looking around at them all, "Well, yeah?"
The siren prince tsked, "That wouldn't even be able to set us free from here - we would just die instead."
The demon's gaze remained on Seonghwa as he slowly crossed his arms in disbelief. He wouldn't believe any of the things that the foul creature of hell was spitting at them right now. He was giving them false hope of something that he surely had no brains to actually be the one to figure out.
Hongjoong was soulless for a reason. And now, he surely just wanted to take advantage of their unrelieved situation, locked away in this huge, dark castle.
"Where did you even gain those pieces of information from?" he asked, eyebrow tipping up as if he challenged him.
A smirk was sent right back at him, accepting the challenge, "It just came to me while I was asleep. Perhaps it was an angel who sang it to me? A holy spirit, telling me the right path to crawl up from hell again," Hongjoong chuckled at his own mad mind, "Or, perhaps it was just the witch who wouldn't shut the fuck up about all those weird emotions."
Neither sounded believable.
