A week later my brother called again as I was getting ready for class later that morning. I sigh rubbing my eyes but answering anyway.

"Rose, I need you to meet me eat the hotel. Something's happened." he told me

"If this is a ruse I will castrate you."

"Nothing could be more serious." he hung up. I huffed out a sigh looking at my boyfriend.

"One of these day's we'll go a week without anything happening. My brother want's to see me sounds like some sort of emergency."

"Okay, call me if you need me." he leant over to kiss me and the I headed for the Empire. As I I arrived and Blair was there on the phone

"Call when you're in the lobby." she hung up "Rosie, what are you doing here."

"Chuck called told me to meet him here." I dumped my bag and sat down taking a strawberry and eating it.

"Well I've barely seen you all week. How have you been." she wondered sitting next to me

"Meetings, thereby, school, time with Dan. That's it in a nutshell." I informed her . The elevator dinged again and Chuck came out with Doug Jarrett

"Are you okay?" the two of us ask. Chuck rubbed his hands together

"Several female employees at the Empire are suing me, for sexual harassment." he informed us

"What?" we questioned

"Obviously there were incidents with room service at the Palace but that was my father's hotel. I was a kid." he came to sit in between us and he took my hand "I would never do that now. Not at my hotel. Not to you." he aimed the last part at Blair taking her hand

"No, of course not. They're scheming harlots trying to get you to pay them off." Blair replied

"We have proof that two of those girls weren't in town on one of the alleged  nights." Doug added

"So we'll fight it." i say "We have innocence and Doug Jarrett one of the best lawyers in New York. It's a slam dunk"

"A court case would be a PR nightmare. We have to settle." he told us "You'll take care of it." Doug nodded and left the three of us.

"Settlements are for the guilty." Blair stated "Celebrities who run people over. The Catholic Church, it's not fair."

"The historical society is honouring our father tonight. We can't have this over shadowing the evening or anything else. This way the case will be sealed The press won't know. No one will."

"Rose will you give us a moment please?" Blair asked. I nodded and  went to the kitchen to grab some food, my phone started ringing.

"Rufas?"

"I need your help, it's Jenny. She's ben ditching school with Damien Delgard The guy that was at the apartment last week. He's a drug dealer." he told me

"I'm on my way." I hung up and walk back out taking a hair tie out of my bag and scooping my hair into a ponytail.

"What's wrong."

"You deal with what's going on with you. If anything changes or you need me send a 911. I gotta go." I press the button to the elevator and the doors opened.

I met up with Dan at his family's apartment. We walked in Rufus was sitting there waiting.

"Anything?" we ask

"No, I've been sitting here all morning ringing, round, drinking coffee. she could be anywhere with him I don't know where to start."

"I even asked Gossip Girl to put a post out but nothing yet." I tell him "Why don't i fix us something to eat I'm sure we'll get something soon." i went into the kitchen. Dan sat down with his Dad.

"I think every girl goes through the forbidden guy phase. Its...You know it explains why vampires are so popular now." I shake my head in amusement

"If he was a vampire right now, I could slip garlic in her waffles, not that she'd eat them. Distract me. What have you guys been up to? Rose did everything get sorted out from last week?"

"Um, more or less. It's a long complicated story which I'd rather not talk about. Oh look here's Vanessa."

"Thank you so much for coming by." he hugged her "I know I'm over reacting, but I just need my family by my side. I know you and Rose are like Jenny's sisters."

"Cause that's not weird at all, but I get what you mean." his phone starts to ring and he takes the call. I plate up some sandwiches and start eating mine.

"When did life get more complicated than high school?" I wonder "I miss high school."

"Me too weirdly, but the fact that I'm not some weird person who stands behind you in the lunch line. that I don't miss." We laugh. and there is a moment of silence

"Have you told her?" i ask

"Told me what?" Vanessa questions

"No I haven't. There hasn't been the time. Besides we haven't told anyone else."

"Please don't tell me your either pregnant or engaged."

"No." we denied

"No, we're actually moving into the Brownstone next semester, no more apartments for either of us." Dan told her

"So you're moving in together officially?" we nodded "Like name on the same place."

"He signed co-ownership the other day." Rufus came back out

"Sorry to drag you guys over here, but I think I have it handled. See you later" Rufus left the three of us.

"What just happened?" I wonder
