At the polo match, I walked around with Dan introducing him to numerous people. He was a little awkward at first but slowly got into the swing of things.

"I'm going to get a drink, do you want one?" I asked him gesturing to the tent. He nodded.

"Yeah sure." I gave him a quick kiss and headed off. I ordered us drinks and waited when Blair whizzed into my line of sight.

"Rosie, he's here. Where is your boyfriend?" her arms were folded and she was mildly annoyed.

"I'll get him." I head back to Dan

"Dan' let's go he's here." I say taking his hand. "Oh Hey V."

"Hey. Dan and I are in the middle of something right now, can't it wait?" she retorted oh bad vibes from everyone today

"No, it can't. Come on, Blair is waiting." I insisted

"Yeah, I have to go. I'm sorry." He allowed me to pull him away and we met up with Blair.

"Carter!" I call making our way up to him.

"Bass and Waldorf. Can't say it's good to see yo." he says turning himself as we march up to him.

"No you can't. Not after what we're about to tell you." Blair starts

"The invitation you got to come to this party wasn't exactly what you thought." I continue, he rolls his eyes at us.

"Spare me, where's Serena?"

"Is this him?" we were asked. Blair and I nodded. He was handed two operate pieces of paper.

"What's this?" he questioned opening them up.

"It's a restraining order." Dan informed him

"This says I have to stay away from Blair Waldorf and Rosalie Bass." he read

"Yeah, and until further notice, you'll find one of us or both at Serena's side. Step within 100 feet of us and you'll be arrested." Blair explained

"Babe, how far do you think he is?" i wondered turning my attention to my boyfriend in fake confusion

"I don't think far enough" he replied

"Me too. Security!" I called over to us just as Serena arrived at our side

"Hey, whats? What's going on here?" S questioned

"Your friends are trying to have me removed." Carter caught her up on what was going on. She looked at us and back at him

"Right because you're stalking me."

"You told them I'm stalking you? You wanna tell them the truth or shall I?" Carter wondered and now I was confused

"What's the truth?" Damasked

"Yeah Carter, what's the truth?" she retorted

"Sooner or later, you're gonna be alone with no one taking your picture. What will you do then?" Carter replied

"S, what is he blathering about?" I sighed

"Miss van der Woodson the first chukker is about to begin." One of the players informed Serena.

"Yes of course. Thank you Nacho. Goodbye Carter." she was led away and we tried to get her to explain but all she told us was later.

"I don't believe it." Blair sighed

"Neither do I. Alright well, if she can't explain it then maybe Carter...." we turned back round but he was gone. A few minutes later Serena rode past us full force on to the field and away. Then Carter followed on behind.

"Well so much for helping out."

I dropped my keys on the counter as Dan and I enter my apartment. I rub my neck and sigh. I make us a drink and he tells me what happened between him and Vanessa.
