Over the next few days I handled the business for my brother and kept tabs on him. The following Saturday was one of the days I was here to check up on him and hopefully bring him over to Mom's

"Chuck, get your spiralled butt out here and greet your sister!" I call making my way to the kitchen and during myself a glass of water. A girl stumbled out of his room and gave a dopey smile before leaving. Chuck followed soon after.

"My Darling sister, how are you?" he kissed my cheek.

"Well, are you coming to Lily's for brunch or are you still on the down and out?" i paused "Like I need to guess."

"You know me so well sis."

"I do which is why I know that you'll sober up soon."

"And how do you know that?" he wondered

"Because your my brother, you sink low to have a rise and not the one sniff either. Make sure you clear up before my next visit please."

"Have you seen Nathaniel? I haven't the past few days." he wondered

"Nate is on a naughty step time out. A forced exile from yours truly. Once he removes Serena from his ass, he may return."

"Okay. Love to Lilly." I leave to head over for brunch. I enter the family apartment.

"Hey, Fam."

"Hey." Rufus  greeted me with a hug "Where's Dan?"

"Last time I saw him was at home trying not to be to mad at Vanessa for getting into Tisch. I just came from seeing my brother."

"Oh how is Chuck?" Eric wondered genuinely concerned

"Yeah, Nate's been asking about him, since he's not allowed to live there anymore."

"It's called circling the wagons, you should know about that right. Oh wait no what you do is lie and keep secrets because of Daddy Issues. Over and over again. Oh did I hit a nerve, shame. Eric, Chuck is fine he's going through the motions which is a endless supply of whatever till he get bored and decides to return to normal." I eat a strawberry

"Good morning everyone." Mom came down. "Look at all this food. It's obscene."

"Are you okay?" "how are you feeling?" Eric, Serena and I wonder

"Please everyone relax. What I need is for the people who love me to treat me like the always do." she kissed our cheeks

"Rose, you were saying about Chuck."

"He sends his love, but he's indisposed." I told Mom

"Charles has the right idea. If he were here then I would really worry." Mom tried to joke. I stood back and took Jenny's arm leaning in her shoulder.

"One thing I'll say about Will's treatment is that I have not lost my appetite. I want waffles." Someone came from the elevator a man walked in.

"Dad." Serena went over to hug him

"Why is he here?" Rufus questioned

"I invited him." Serena replied

"Oh William, you haven't met my other daughter. This is Rosalie."

"Adopted daughter from her previous marriage." Serena corrected

"Rosalie." I held out my hand he took it.

"William van der Woodsen."

"Nice to meet you. Just to be clear if you do anything to jeopardise  the health of the woman I see as my mother I will make it my mission to be your worst nightmare and ruin everything you hold dear." I smile and he chuckles

"She's serious." Lily, Rufus, Eric and Jenny comment and his chuckle stops.

"Stop, Rose." Serena glares at me.

"I'm just saying, I'm sure William appreciates honesty. Don't you?" I question the older man.

"I do."

"See, no problem. I'm going to make me a plate and see what my boyfriend is up to." I clap my hand and head to grab a plate. The others join me.

"Have I ever told you how awesome you are when you're an Ice Princess." Eric whispered and I laughed

"Eric, I'm no Princess. I'm the Ice Queen."

"I hope you'll all join me for this Doctors without borders gala at Columbia. I must admit I feel a bit silly about the whole thing. Clearly Columbia's run out alumni to honour. If the best they could come up with, is me." I roll my eyes at Eric who smiles.

"False humility, check." Eric mutters and I grin at him

"I'll be there. I hope you don't mind I invited Nate and Blair. I really want them to get to know you." Serena beamed

"Terrific, I'd be honoured."

"Rufus and I would love to come." Mom added and I leant to whisper into Eric's ear

"I highly doubt that. Dulling pistols at the ready." He snorts using a cough to cover it up

"Why don't you grab a plate, help yourself." I head to sit next to Jenny

"Here Dad, sit next to me. Rufus scoot over." Serena tells him and I shake my head. Unbelievable. Daddy comes home and the man who has helped her through a lot is nothing but an after thought. Talk about loyalty. "Please" Rufus scoots over

After Brunch I'm helping tidy up and making a big pot of coffee. Once we were done we headed back over

"I have an announcement, everyone." Serena stands up "I'm moving back in. That way I can be with you Mom. And it'll just be really great to be back in my old room. Don't worry Jenny we'll find a place for you." I sit on the arm of the sofa next to Jenny and put my arm around her.

"Well that's great because I'm moving in too. Downstairs. I was waiting to tell till the board approved my sublet tomorrow but I'm very excited. All my family together under one roof again."

"Rufus why don't you call Dan." I chirp "Mom, can i use the office, there's some business I need to take care of."

"Of course sweetheart." I got up and kissed her cheek I saw Jenny follow me.

"I don't like this guy, he's trying to hurt my Dad." Jenny seethes as I sit down and hum in agreement. I had a plan a rushed and bitchy quick fix.

"I know." I take the phone and dial

"What are you doing?"

"Buying the apartment, I love real estate." she let's out a small laugh as I make my call. Once I finish

"Rose Bass, i love you. you kind of remind me of a Regina George when you're all boss bitch."

"Thank you." We leave and I see Eric talking with his Dad

"Eric, everything alright?" I question

"Yeah." Eric turned back to William "Serena may want a relationship with you but I don't" he came over to me and hugged me. I wrapped my arms around him.

"Hey, it's okay. It's okay. Come on I'm taking you both for for ridiculous amounts of cake, ice cream and the to the movies. Jen can you grab our coats." She did

"I am grateful for you being another sister to Eric." William bore me

"Yeah I don't like you." Jenny passes me my coat   and we step into the elevator "Go fuck yourself." I say as the door closes
