"Stop dragging me, Matt Riddle!" I scolded making him frowned at me.

"You're so hot-headed, bro."

I close my eyes as I took a deep breath. I've been waiting for hours for lunch, I'm curious like everyone else. Adam Cole is the type who won't hold back to anyone even if they're woman, so what I don't get is that he easily let her off. HE WAS SLAPPED IN THE FACE FOR GOODNESS SAKE! HE'S LETTING THAT SLIDE?

"Rhea, are you alright?" Toni worriedly asked.

I simply nodded at her and then she bounces and whispered, "Are we going to sit with Adam this lunch?"

I stared at her and shook my head, "Sorry Toni but can I talk to Adam privately?"

How I wish she'll listen to me this time! Am I being selfish now?

She looks like in deep thought but her next line isn't what I expected to hear, "You're dating someone right, Rhea?"

I immediately cover her mouth and hissed, "Be quiet! They might hear you."

"I knew it! What he looks like?" She excitedly asked.

"He's okay..." I answered, come to think of it, Toni likes my current boyfriend. Am I being a bad friend now?

"Come' on! This is you we're talking about, you rarely give someone attention so he must be special." She stated making me shrugs.

"So, about Adam...what will you talk about with him?" She curiously asked making me sighed.

"I'll tell you next time, Toni," I replied.

When I ordered my lunch, I went to Adam's table, and there he was patiently waiting.

"Where're your friends?" I couldn't help but to ask.

"With their usual spot," He answered.

"Care to tell me what happened with you and Shotzi? or you're really not planning to tell me that?" I asked straight to the point.

Adam grumbled, rolled his eyes as he picks up his fork.

"She slapped me because I rejected someone that she loves. Saying she couldn't afford to see her hurt because of me," He admitted making me confuse than ever.

"Wait, you rejected someone?" I interrogated.

He nodded as he held my hand, "Shayna confessed to me the other day but I rejected her."

Why? Now I felt even more guilty. Someone likes Adam genuinely and he rejected her.

"Don't worry, I have taken care of it, babe." He reassures but it got me thinking.

What if I'm not dating Adam Cole? Will he return her feelings? He wouldn't reject her if I'm not here right?

I immediately wipe the tears that rolled on my face as I bite my lower lips.

"Hey!" A woman spoke up and it's none other than Shotzi.

"You again?! What do you want?!" Adam uttered, surprise visible in his eyes.

I stared at my plate that I'm not touching anymore.

It feels like I don't have an appetite to eat when I felt a slapped across my face.

"WHAT THE!"

I bite my cheek as I held my face.

"So, you're the reason huh?" Shotzi mumbles, only the three of us can hear.

No one, as in no one DARES to slap Rhea Ripley. I glared at her as I immediately stood up.

"Miss, I don't know what's wrong with your brain but stop slapping people around?" I said.

"Ohh! As if I'm scared of you. You are the reason why this jerk..." She glanced at Adam and then at me, "rejected the one I like for a long time so you deserve that slap."

So, it's like this?

I immediately grabbed her hair, lifted her body as I deliver a riptide.

I'm aware that everyone in the cafeteria is staring at us.

So much for hiding this damn truth. I can't afford to see Adam getting slap because of me.

"Listen up, all of you. If someone dares to touch a single hair of Adam Cole, you're gonna get what Shotzi received today!" I yelled as I crossed my arms.

"Oh my!"

"HOLY SHIT!"

"THE HELL?"

"WOAH!"

"RHEA BROOOO!"

"WITH THAT SKINNY ADAM? NO WAY!"

"SHIT! ARE THEY DATING?!"

"I COULDN'T BELIEVE THIS!"

"Rhea..." I immediately turn my attention to Toni and approached her.

"Sorry, I hid it to you," I admitted and bow my head slightly.

But she hugs me tightly. It makes me want to cry, the hell Rhea?

"Congratulations! I'm so happy for you!" She brightly smiles as she let go.

WHY? She likes Adam Cole right?

"But you..."

"If you're happy, then I'm happy!" Toni tearfully stated making me speechless. I felt a presence behind me as Toni continue her little speech, "Hey, Adam. Take good care of her." Toni muttered glancing at him.

I stared at Toni's eyes and there's no doubt that she's happy about the news.

"Are you disappointed at my action, Adam?" I asked, not looking at him.

"That's not how you called me," He mumbles on my ear, I felt a shiver on my spine.

This man is so demanding!

"Babe." I tried my best not to roll my eyes as I turned around to face him.

"Yes, babe?"

Some people squeal in delight, some people are surprised and the one percent population doesn't care. Why is it a big deal? But then again, I announced it to the whole cafeteria.

Now, I'm feeling embarrassed.

"You're blushing when I called you babe?" He cocked his head and laughed at me.

Silly reptile! As if!

"You know I can protect myself, right Rhea? But you were the first one who threatened everyone for my sake." He softly uttered, holding my hands.

Okay? What's with him?

"I'm so lucky to have a girlfriend who'll protect me in danger, I love this feeling." He admitted as he bends down and kisses my hands.

Everyone roared as I felt my face getting hot. What the hell is he doing? This is PDA! Who permits him to do this in front of everyone?

But I tried to smirk, you think you're the only one who can say and do silly things huh? I'm Rhea Ripley, don't underestimate me, reptile.

"I love you too."

I feel like I'm getting deaf because of the noises inside our cafeteria. I immediately leaned at him and tried to give him a kiss on the cheek. But this asshole really made another mistake and face me once again.

"I FELT BETRAYED ONCE AGAIN!"

I hit him lightly in the stomach as he keeps laughing.

"I know how your mind works, babe." He winked at me as I immediately put him in a headlock.

"AAAAAH!"

"Stop teasing me, reptile, or I'll break your neck." I threaten, making him laugh once more.

"You won't do that babe. You love me too much."

Ugh! He's so happy because I'm the one who announces our relationship in public.

I glance at my friends, "Sorry for not telling you guys."

"Congratulations! You looked good together." Mia greeted as she hugs me.

"Dream doesn't like Cole but Dream accepts your decision." Dream patted my head.

"Girl~ you dating Adam Cole is out of this world! You're so lucky!" Bianca Belair said, hugging me as well.

"Rhea broooo! You're leaving me single in this group?" Matthew groaned and I laughed at his reaction.

He was about to hug me when Adam immediately went in my front, "Now that you know that, will you please back off, Matt Riddle."

Everyone in my circle laughed leaving Adam Cole confused.

"I told you, didn't I? He's just a friend." I repeated but it seems that Adam Cole keeps forgetting about it.

He scowled which makes me check his cheek, "Did it hurt?"

"You're holding the wrong cheek, Rhea." He answered which makes me hold his other cheek.

"It's alright, By the way, did it hurt?" He asked.

"What? Let me guess? When I fell from heaven shit?" I slightly smile but he just shrugs.

"No, when you fell for me?" Ugh, he's now trying that corny pick-up lines.

"Please, Adam. Not those pick up lines. I think I'm going to vomit."

"You're ruining the mood, Rhea." He pointed out making my eyes rolled in annoyance.

"You're the one who ruined it when you tried asking that pick-up line." I retorted back.

"Huh? You're the one who started it." He argued once more. I sighed, he never gives up!

"Whatever, reptile. I'm hungry." I drop the topic as I went back to our table and stop giving a damn with anyone who's looking at us. Besides, we only have fifteen minutes left.

"Rhea." He called out, now looking nervous. What the hell is wrong with him.

"Yes?"

"Umm, did someone tried to confess to you or things like that?" I don't understand what he's asking? Is he playing mind games again?

"No one," I answered, continues to eat while listening to his questions.

"Aside from me." He clarified, making me raise a brow at him.

"Pffft! You didn't say that you like me." I corrected, drinking my juice.

"Of course I did!" He shouted making me almost spat what inside my mouth.

"Right." I sarcastically said.

"Rhea!"

"No one ever confesses to me aside from you. Happy?" I glared at him but he's thinking deep. What is his problem now?

"That's not what I'm implying, it's...ugh. nothing." He dropped the topic as he continued to eat.

"Adam, stop overthinking. Also, don't get jealous of Matthew. He likes someone already, an unrequited crush." I reminded and he smiles at me.

"Rhea, you made me so happy today. I love you." He whispered making me blush. Adam Cole and his sincere voice.

He really likes sappy shit, ugh! Stupid, reptile.

"RHEA! your reply?"

"I love you too babe. Now stop talking!"
