Chapter 5: Different Points of View.
Nea's POV:
"I hope (Y/n) made it." I sighed anxiously and ran a hand through my tangled dark hair.
"What do we do if she didn't?" Meg mumbled nervously.
"We have to start doing those generators. We need five - and we haven't done any!" Dwight commanded heatedly and Jake folded his arms.
"We have to save (Y/n) if she's in trouble." Jake disagreed calmly as I nodded in agreement.
"There's no point in helping her if we don't have a way out." Dwight responded reasonably.
"Well how about this - you and Meg start doing gens, and Jake and I will see if (Y/n)'s okay." I suggested, trying to sound calm.
"That's not a bad idea." Meg marvelled at my idea and I smiled.
"I am the smart one of the group after all." I bragged jokingly and the atmosphere brightened for a second; before becoming dull once more.
"Let's get moving then, there isn't time to waste." Jake nodded firmly and we all set off determinedly.
Dwight's POV:
"How do we fix these generators?" Meg fretted as we walked away from the group.
"We'll figure out a way." I tried to console her, but the same worry was planted in my mind as well.
What would we do?
"I-I'm so sorry sir!" Meg apologised embarrassedly as she bumped into someone.
"Don't worry about it." He waved her apology off casually as he clutched his side.
"Excuse me, but who are you?" I asked curiously; folding my arms.
"My name is Benedict Baker, but you can call me whatever." Benedict introduced offhandedly and Meg gasped.
"Benedict Baker! You were the one who made that journal!" She realised loudly, her hands tightening on her medkit.
"Yes, that would be me." Benedict smiled amusedly and held his hand out.
Meg and I shook it, and I looked at him interestedly.
He had messy brown hair and sharp looking, icy blue eyes.
"We need your help." Meg bursted out quickly, and his eyebrows raised.
"With what? Escaping?" He questioned quietly.
"Well yeah...but how do we fix the generators?" Meg asked hopelessly as we all found one.
"I can help you with that." Benedict said kindly and explained it to us.
Let's do this.
Jake's POV:
"Where would Sally take (Y/n) to?" Nea inquired uncomfortably as we got closer to the asylum.
"I haven't got a clue." I confessed with a sigh.
"You pieces of filth just don't give up, do you?" Her voice came from behind us viciously and Nea yelped.
"Sally! We didn't mean-well we just wanted-Uh..." Nea panicked and Sally glared.
"Leave my little doll alone." She warned coldly, her pale hands tightening on her weapon.
"Little...doll...?" Nea repeated blankly, eyes widening.
"(Y/n) must be in the asylum somewhere. She only appeared when we came close to it." I hissed to Nea urgently.
"Leave. Get out!" Sally exploded furiously and went to hit me when Nea took the hit.
"Save her Jake." Nea moaned from the floor, blood seeping out of her shoulder.
"Nea!" I exclaimed alarmed when I saw Sally finish wiping Nea's blood off of her blade.
"GO!"
Meg's POV:
"You're bleeding!" I pointed out as we were working on the generator.
"A little." Benedict replied unalarmed, and I got off of the generator.
"Come here so I can heal you." I ordered anxiously, opening my medkit.
"Thank you Meg." He smiled warmly and let me bandage his wounds.
"No worries." I chimed cheerfully as we got back to work.
"You're very happy in this situation Meg." Benedict said slowly and I stopped in confusion.
"I...am? I was just trying to make the best in a situation." I explained puzzled.
"Meg's always been the positive one." Dwight agreed pleasantly, narrowing his eyes at Benedict.
"Hmm...alright." He decided and I shook my head.
"No, what did you mean?" I asked coolly.
"I was merely being cautious." Benedict defended himself casually and I pursed my lips.
"Cautious?" Dwight repeated as we finished the generator.
"I don't think you know." Benedict muttered suddenly, frowning a little.
"Know what?" I inquired, half-scared and half-annoyed.
"The Nurse has a powerful ally named the Entity, it can control people. It can make the person seem normal to their group, and then attack them. I was just worried that you were being a smudge too happy." He told Dwight and I gravely.
"Can it control dead people?" I questioned worriedly, thinking of Claudette.
"I'm assuming." Benedict answered thoughtfully and I shuddered.
Just great.
Your POV:
"Jake?!" You gasped weakly as he came sprinting down the basement steps.
"(Y/n)! You're alive." He sighed in relief and glanced behind him uneasily.
"What happened?" You asked fearfully.
"Nea is down, but we'll save her." Jake replied firmly and took out his handy pocket knife.
"Good thing you always have that knife, huh?" You joked feebly as he cut your bindings.
"You guys used to mock me for it." He smiled at memory and you chuckled quietly.
"Yes we did." You agreed breathlessly and stood up.
"Are you sure you're okay?" He said anxiously, seeing you wobble a bit.
"I'm fine...just being tied up has made me feel a bit dizzy." You remarked lightheadedly as you and him walked up the wooden steps.
A loud scream could be heard and you knew it was Nea.
"We need to hurry." Jake reminded you uncomfortably and you nodded.
You followed the yells and saw Nea on a meathook.
"Get down!" Jake whispered loudly and pushed you behind a brick wall.
Sally glided past, her eyes alight with malice and you gulped nervously.
"She's camping the hook. We have to be sneaky." Jake thought aloud seriously.
"Yeah. I got it." You answered timidly and seized a chance to go.
You sprinted to hook, looked left and right to make sure Sally was out of sight and then pulled Nea off.
"Thank you (Y/n)!" She sobbed gratefully.
"NO!" Sally screeched as she teleported back, enraged.
