Recap:

Kyros stepped up to the platform where the Donquixote Soldiers previously were at, "Everybody, claw your way to this plateau! The centre of the Birdcage is moving this way!"

"Yeah!" the civilians responded to him positively.

"You save us, Kyros-sama!"

"Hey, men!" Sai interrupted the cheering, "Don't depend on others! Those who have the physical strength, come with us!"

"What?! He wants me to come with him?!" a familiar voice was heard behind (Y/n) and she turned to see-

"Baby5?!" the woman looked at the witch, "(Y/n)-chan!" " "-chan"?!"

On with Chapter 45:

3RD PERSON POV

(Y/n) didn't have any more time to question it though because the birdcage started moving faster.

"It's shrinking faster!" she told the team and Bartholomeo was the first one to respond, "Yes, it's our chance to show off!"

'That's what he was thinking?!' the Witch thought but it helped motivated the other fighters anyway and all of them went to the edge of the birdcage. (Y/n) took a quick look at her paper doll - who was hiding somewhere on her outfit, before following them.

Bartholomeo used his barrier devil fruit and made a horizontally long barrier across one portion of the birdcage. It looked like it was slowing down the Birdcage..slightly.

"It's holding out!" someone also pointed out.

"Only you could've done it, Rooster-kun!" Robin complimented him and it made him go over the moon, or maybe even further with how flustered he became. "Oh! Robin-senpai! I don't deserve such words of praise!" as if it was a switch, he became normal again, "Now, let's do it, guys! My barrier will never break! Push! Follow Zoro-senpai!"

While the fighters pushed by using the barrier, Robin user her devil fruit to make big hands and joined them. Even Leo was putting in some effort and joining the group in stopping the birdcage.

(Y/n) did the same thing to Robin, except she used her rock magic. Only less than a minute later she realized it was not that effective.

"Hm.." she muttered, "Is it time?" (Y/n) took a deep breath and exhaled. She has enough magic power somehow, so it is possible, right?

She took another deep breath, "No, not yet." she said and continued pushing with the rock hands.

"Make a collective effort and push!" Sai shouted and the people who stepped away from it quickly went back to their positions.

"It's strange." Robin said from beside her, "How could they exert that much body power with those injured bodies? Just a few minutes ago they were burned out and couldn't even stand up. What were those fluffs?"

"I know, right?" (Y/n) agreed, "Even my healing magic isn't that powerful to instantly heal someone."

Leo overheard their conversation as he suddenly talked, "They were dandelixers." "Dandelixers?"

"Yes! They were dandelions made from the components of Princess Mansherry's tears." (Y/n) raised her eyebrows, "The fluffs of the dandelixers can give people over a wide area of miraculous ultra-recoveries. Princess Mansherry is worrying about what's happening to Dressrosa and is shedding tears now. I believe that will save so many lives!"

"So that's why those immobile fighters are..."

"But the drawback of this ability is that it's only a temporary ultra recovery! Just for a few minutes! I'm afraid they'll revert to their former state when the time comes! So this is just a life support procedure to survive for now!"

"I see..Well then."

"Dark magic:..." the area around her lit with a black aura and it might have spooked the fighters out.

<ANIME: FAIRY TAIL>

"Shuten Doji! Ibaraki Doji!" (I don't have a picture to reference them so like,, you either imagine an oni or you imagine the hot shikigami from the game Onmyoji lmao)

Two onis emerged from the ground beside her and brought fear upon the fighters. Some even let go of the barrier to prepare to fight them.

"Push the barrier!" (Y/n) said and the two onis walked behind the fighters and joined them instead.

"(Y/n)? What are you doing?" Robin asked since she knew this type of spell takes up a lot of magic from her friend who is currently injured.

"..I actually got hit with the dandelixer just now too." (Y/n) admitted somewhat, "I just didn't notice it except for the sudden magic increase. And it's only temporary, right?" she chuckled, "Might as well use it to my advantage then. I've always wondered what it would be like to summon multiple shikigamis at once."

This went on for a few more minutes and (Y/n) might have summoned a couple more monsters for the sake of it.

"There are people who are trying desperately to stop the Birdcage!" Rebecca said, "You go guide the citizens to the plateau location of the Royal Palace! We'll take this one!" Kyros instructed her and she immediately separated from the group and ran towards town.

"There they are!" instead of Rebecca choosing to come back , new voices were heard. It was the civilians! Are they still looking for trouble?

"Warriors! Let us push too!"

"Heh, just do it already!" Ideo said and the others agreed.

Bartholomeo extended the barrier and the people joined on any empty space there was. Some even supported the ones who were pushing in the first row.

"We'll do it too!"

"We can't just let it cut us without doing anything!"

"I'm sorry, everybody! Help us!" Kyros apologized.

"Yeah! Let's work together!"

"Here we go, guys!" "Yeah!"

"(Y/n), can't you put a power up for everyone or something?" Robin asked.

"Hm, I thought about it, but will it actually work?" she answered.

Robin just chuckled, "Doesn't hurt to find out, right?" and her friend chuckled back, "You're right."

Using her light magic, (Y/n) increased the strength of the people and their bodies glowed slightly.

"What was that?"

"Did something even happen?"

"Whatever it was, it probably didn't even work!"

The comments might have hurt (Y/n) a little but now isn't the time to feel disheartened! Also they're against the Birdcage!

"It's too early to give up!" Kyros said.

"I trust in Zoro-senpai! We'll stop the Birdcage at any cost!"

But suddenly, it stopped. It was silent.

Everyone barely had a moment to process it before it moved again. It caught people off guard but they quickly went back to pushing.

"It's moving again!"

"But it did stop for a moment."

"So it's stoppable! Zoro-senpai is as awesome as ever!"

...

Minutes after and the group is still pushing. No one knew how long it will take, but none of them were willing to give up so easily, especially after receiving so much encouragement and motivation from each other.

"Alright, everyone!" the familiar voice of the emcee from the colosseum blasted through the speakers around the country. "It won't be much longer!"

"Our star will return!" one can hear him pant through the speakers, "Everyone, do you remember? Yes, I know you remember! About that funny and bold star who burst onto the scene, in the tournament at the Corrida Colosseum today!"

"I remember! He tamed the Killer Bull that everybody feared and mowed down the Towering Giant! He even knocked down the living legend, Don Chin Jao! He's the little gladiator who made the colosseum- I mean, the whole of Dressrosa bubble over with excitement! I've never seen anyone fight so freely and make a competition as thrilling as he did!"

"His name is.. LUCY!"

"Yes, he's Lucy! But that was just his temporary alias! His real name is, The pirate - MUGIWARA NO LUFFY!"

"Since we've been fooled by and been under the control of a pirate, maybe it's hard for us to trust another pirate! But...he's different from the Donquixote family who appeared in disguise as heroes on that night a decade ago! Straw Hat Luffy is someone that the real king, King Riku-sama, called "Our Hope!" "

"He fought Doflamingo earlier to within an inch of defeat! He's now knocked out after getting hurt in the battle but...it's not over yet! Dance with joy, Dressrosa! Lucy...promised me! That he'll knock out Doflamingo with a single blow!"
