Recap:
A few minutes later, the four of them found themselves standing in front of a building in Grove 1.
Law deadpanned at the thought of why the person they were looking for was there.
"...Sigh..."
On with Chapter 2:
3RD PERSON POV
The Human Auction House was surprisingly crowded as the rows of seats were occupied by nobles from different ares.
From short to tall, wide to narrow, all of them had the same purpose in mind. And that was to bring home a new slave.
"Thats-!"
"Captain Kid, from South Blue!"
The Kid Pirates were standing in the back corner of the room, away from the people's sight but their aura managed to grab some attention.
"Celestial Dragons.. Slaves.. The Human Shop..." he started listing out, "Compared to the "righteous" greed of the rulers, the villains of the world seem much more honorable... When scum rules the world, only more scum is born. You don't even understand that? At least we're honest about being bad people, right, Killer?" "You're right."
"How about we buy anyone who seems interesting? Haha." he suggested, unsure if it was a joke or not.
"Chief Kid," Heat leaned down slightly to talk to his captain. "look at that." he gestured to a familiar looking man with the nod of his head. Said man was sitting in one of the empty back rows of the auction house with some of his crew members.
"I know that face..." Kid stated. "It's the 200 million man from North Blue, Trafalgar Law. I heard bad rumors about him." Heat pointed out and at the same time, Law looked back at them as if he felt their gazes. He gave a little smirk before inviting the red haired captain to sit with him and enjoy the show with his head before looking back at the front. "His manners are bad too."
Kid then walked towards Law. "Oi, Trafalgar." he called and Law looked back at him once again. "Don't you have a right hand woman with you? Where is she?"
At the mention of his partner, Law's smirk went into a frown. "She got herself captured by some of the slave traders. I'm here to get her back. What an idiot..." he explained with a sigh, but Kid's face grew a smirk. "Oh? Well then, I'll buy her."
Law's frown went deeper. "I don't need your help to get her back."
"Who said I'm getting her for you?" Kid's smirk got bigger. "I want her on my ship."
Meanwhile in the cells of the Human Auction House, (Y/n) was sitting on a crate beside a giant in one of the cells. The workers of the auction house replaced the ropes she was tied in with handcuffs and placed a neck ring on her.
They led her inside the cell with other slaves and told her to sit on one of the unoccupied crates. She had noticed that each slave was numbered, but for some reason she was seated on an unnumbered one.

"Mister Doflamingo, we have her!"
" "Her"? Who?"
"Her! The Witch Doctor! One of the traders brought her here, in Sabaody Archipelago!"
"Fufufu, I see... I will bring my men there to collect her after the auction... Keep her safe for me."
"Yes, Mister Doflamingo!"

After a few minutes of sitting, three of the workers brought in a new figure who was struggling to get out of their hold.
"Let me go! That hurts!" the new person said, "I said let go of my hands!"
"Hey, stop fighting! We can't tell how big your neck ring needs to be!"
The person, upon closer look, was a mermaid with short green hair and a cropped t-shirt. She stopped struggling in their grasp for a few seconds out of exhaustion. The one man who wasn't restraining her went to one side of the room and came back with a neck ring. The mermaid saw the item and continued struggling. "No! Hacchin!"
"If you don't want to get hurt, then stay still!" a worker scolded her.
"Oi, oi." A new figure entered the room and walked towards the workers, "Don't be so rough with such an important item."
"Disco-san!"
"Oh, so this is the one? The mermaid that just came in." he asked. He crouched down to get a better look at the mermaid before grabbing her jaw with his hand and moved it side-to-side.
"How rare!" he exclaimed. "She seems lively and healthy! We should fetch quite the price for this one! Who brought her here?"
"The Hound Pets."
"Peterman, huh?" Disco mentioned the name of the leader and stood up after letting go of the mermaid's face. "He's done a great job. Doesn't seem like the Flying Fish Riders brought in anything this time, though. Well, regardless, this one should bring in a lot of money."
In response, the mermaid taunted him with an expression and in return she got slapped hard until she fell face first onto the ground. "What's with that face?! Why you..!"
It worked in angering him as the workers had to hold him back. "You're just a damn fish! Know your place!"
"Wait, Disco-san! She's an important item! If you hurt her, her value will drop! If you kick her, then at least do it somewhere where her clothes will cover it, like her stomach!"
The mermaid lifted herself slightly off of the ground and cried silently. A pair of (e/c) eyes were watching the scene from a distance. She wished she could help her, but could do nothing but watch for now.
Disco pushed the worker aside and glared at the mermaid who hadn't back down from the fight. "Hacchin will definitely come and beat you up!"
The man got even more angry and demanded to put the neck ring on her himself. As he was about to latch it onto her neck , he suddenly fainted and fell backwards.
"Hey, what happened, Disco-san?!"
"The show is about to start, too!"
"Doctor! Get a doctor!"
Turning her head to her right, she looked at the slouched figure of a man in the corner of the cell. "Hey, gramps. Quit pretending. That was you, right?" the giant sitting beside her asked the man after the workers brought Disco away. "That was you, right? That "haki" just now. Who the hell are you?"
"Just an old man who coats ships." he dug into his coat to pull out a flask. "I simply love young girls." he said as he took a sip.
"That's unfortunate for me I guess," the (h/c-ette) finally decided to speak up, "Silvers Rayleigh." of course she would know the late Pirate King's first mate, she knew a lot of things...probably a little too much...
"I'm already in my late twenties. Is there another way I can ask for your help, then?" she joked.
"Oh? The Witch Doctor knows me?" Rayleigh chuckled. "What an honour."
...
"Well then, everyone! Thank you for your patience! In a moment the 1st grove's monthly tradition, the Great Human Auction, shall commence! Our host, of course is this man!"
"The walking super bazaar... Mr Disco!"
The emcee and the cheers of the audience were heard from the cells as the event started. Camie had been placed beside (Y/n) who was calmly trying to calm her down.
"Good day, everyone! This time, we've got quote an excellent selection of slaves for you! You are all lucky! We've got a spectacular deluxe item for later in the show! The only thing on my mind is making sure everyone here leaves with the slave they've been waiting for!"
"Well then, let's start the auction!"
"Prepare number 2 and 3!" "Got it!"
"(Y/n)-san, I don't want to be a slave!" Camie quickly grew onto you when she found out that you were a pirate as well as a friend of someone from the Straw Hat Pirates.
It wasn't a lie, but her trusting someone that easily was risky.
"Don't worry Camie, we're definitely getting out of here." the witch said while rubbing her hand on the mermaid's head.
Moments prior to Camie's arrival, (Y/n)'s paper doll managed to slip it's way through the workers and stop right in front of her. At that, it meant that Law (unfortunately) found out about her capture but was now present in the auction house to save her.
Another way they could get out was by the old man who had also been captured as a slave, Silvers Rayleigh. He definitely wouldn't back down that easily.
"But we have to wait for the right time to move." (Y/n) added, "I don't know when, but there will definitely be an opening later for us. And I will do my best to keep you safe."
Meanwhile, the bidding was going on for the slave that was currently on stage.
"480 thousand!"
"500 thousand!"
"520 thousand!"
"520 thousand! Is that enough?"
The numbers kept on rising every few seconds as the nobles didn't want to lose.
"Now, things will only get even more exciting from here on! We've gotten quite a lot of impressive items here! Everyone, please don't lose sight of the prize here! Well, let's move on to the next one!"
...
"Bring numbers 15 and 16."
"Understood."
This time, the cell that our protagonist was in was finally opened.
One of the slaves struggled as he cried for help to not be sold, but it was futile.
Camie curled closer to (Y/n) for comfort. "Hacchin, save me..." she muttered while trembling in fear. (Y/n) wrapped her arm across the mermaid and brought her closer.
...
"Get number 17 ready!"
The workers entered the cell and stopped in front of Camie, who was still in the (h/c-ette)'s grasp.
She curled up more into the latter's body, as if to hide, but that definitely didn't work as they forcefully tore her away and brought her to wherever they needed her to be.
Waiting for their figures to be out of sight, (Y/n) spoke up.
"So, what is your plan, Ray-san?
