Law ignored his two former acquaintances and continued talking, "All I want is for you to abandon everything that you spent a decade to attain and go back to being a common pirate again. In that case, however, the admirals from the Navy HQ will hunt you down. I'm expecting to see it in the newspaper tomorrow morning. If your resignation from the Warlords is in the paper, I will call you. If I don't see it, the negotiation is off and (Y/n) knows what to do. Goodbye."

On with Chapter 18:

3RD PERSON POV

AT THE THOUSAND SUNNY...

"Joker is finished. We're gonna go onto the next move. There is a factory manufacturing SMILEs somewhere on Dressrosa." Law said while sitting by the mast.

"Huh. We should just find it and destroy it?" "That's right." Law confirmed Franky's question. "Then, Kaido's forces won't strengthen. However, he's a professional businessman. I'm sure he'll retaliate."

"By the way, Tra-o." Luffy suddenly called out to the man, "Where did you get that stick?" he was pointing to the staff that he was hugging alongside his sword. His crew started paying attention and looked to where he was pointing. All of them had a confused expression except for Robin who had recognized the "stick".

At the same time, the shichibukai clenched his grip around the staff and his jaw. "That's... (Y/n)'s staff, isn't it?" Robin pointed out and Law sadly nodded his head.

"(Y/n)? Who?" Luffy, having heard of this name since they were held in the cage at Punk Hazard, still didn't recognize who this person was. Thankfully, the other members of the crew told him about her.

"She's Robin-chan's friend from Sabaody."

"She's the one that healed Hatchan!"

Sanji and Chopper's comments didn't ring a bell in the captain's head.

"She's the one that was flying around." Usopp's statement was the one that worked as Luffy smacked the side of his fist into his palm, "Oh, her!.... What about her?" It seemed that he had forgotten what was said at Dressrosa too.

Robin's sad expression deepened and Law clenched his jaw. "...Doflamingo. He took her."

...

AT DRESSROSA...

"Your Majesty!"

"Your Majesty! Why did you resign?"

"Please give us a reason, Your Majesty!"

The people of Dressrosa were gathered outside the castle and were begging for their king to answer their questions. They had just seen the news of his resignation on the News Coo and people immediately swarmed to the castle.

Doflamingo heard their cries, but he continued reading his book on his seat while listening to music from the gramophone. At one point, the den den mushi's started ringing and Doflamingo pushed it all towards Sugar to handle it. Not sure what she was doing it with though.

"Your Majesty!"

The only den den mushi that was present in the room was Law's, and (Y/n) was standing beside it. She was brought here by the warlord as a spectator and was told to behave or else she would be punished, again. Not like she hasn't realized that by now, she just didn't want to comply that easily.

"puru puru puru puru" the snail rang and Doflamingo grinned. "(Y/n), be a darling and bring the phone to me."

Seeing no reason to provoke the man, yet, she brought the phone over while he stopped the gramophone. He picked up the receiver and said, "It's me. I resigned from the Warlords."

Instead of hearing Law's deep voice on the other end, the two heard different voices instead,

"He picked up!" "Picked up!"

"Finally!"

(Y/n) couldn't help but to sweatdrop at whoever they were.

"Doflamingo!" she could instantly tell that that voice belonged to Straw Hat Luffy before someone violently shushed him, "Shhh! He will hear you!" But he ignored his own crew mate and continued talking, "Hello! I'm Monkey D Luffy! I'm gonna be the King of the Pirates!"

'Is Law working with the Straw Hats?' (Y/n) thought while the two on the other side of the line were fighting. She hasn't seen the news about the alliance due to her being kept in her cell most of the time in Dressrosa.

"I told you to shut up!" "Hey, Mingo!" the odd nickname caught the man's attention. "Are you stupid, old Caesar's boss?! He gave Brownbeard and the children hell! We will give you back Caesar as we promised but if you do that again, I will beat the hell out of you!" the sweatdrop deepened.

"Straw Hat Luffy. You went away for two years after your brother died. Where were you and what were you doing?" "I shouldn't tell anyone about it!" Doflamingo chuckled.

"I wanted to see you. I have something that you'll want very badly now." As he said that, Luffy's voice softened, "Something... that I'll want... very badly?"

It then became silent for a few seconds, "H-Hey!" Luffy called, " How delicious is that meat you're talking about?!" 'That's what he was talking about??' (Y/n) swore she can see the drool forming on the den den mushi too. She let out a sigh.

"Mugiwara-ya! Don't get drawn into his pace!" Her eyes widened and lit up when she heard the voice she had been waiting for. She was about to call out to Law when he felt Doflamingo's glare behind his sunglasses.

"Joker! Cut the crap! We'll hand Caesar over to you as we promised, only if you do the same for (Y/n) too."

"Well, that's for your own good. If you try to run away with him, you know what will happen to you guys." Doflamingo chuckled while glancing at (Y/n), "Now, can I hear my precious business partner's voice?"

"Joker! I'm sorry! You resigned from the Warlords for me!" "Did you hear him?" Caesar's cry was cut short.

"Yeah, he sounded fine." Doflamingo hummed. "Now, can I hear my assistant's voice?"

Surprisingly, the man turned the receiver toward's (Y/n) but gave her a warning look, as if saying that if she tries to do anything, she knew what would be coming for her.

Not that she ever listened to his warnings anyways.

"Law! He's planning something! He's not-" "That's enough." she immediately shut up when she felt her body freeze.

"Eight hours from now, at the beach on the southeast side of Green Bit, the solitary island north of Dressrosa. We will leave Caesar there at three in the afternoon, you leave (Y/n) there too. Go ahead and pick him up, and this will all be finished."

The man in front of her laughed in amusement, "That's too bad. I wish I could have a drink with you."

Instead of getting a response from his "former younger brother", he got Luffy shouting "Just hang up!" before the snail went back to sleep. Placing the receiver back onto the shell, his smile went away and veins popped on his forehead. The glare he had on his face could not be seen yet the (h/c-ette) felt like she would have died if looks could kill.

"You really have no fear, don't you? After this, you will finally learn not to test my patience."

...

Doflamingo made his way down one of the hallways of the castle while dragging a half-unconscious (Y/n) behind him. His treatment towards the witch wasn't as merciful as usual and the latter probably have learnt her lesson by now.

Baby5, whose body has been put back together, was standing in front of a pair of double doors. "Young Master-sama, Trebol-sama is not here yet." she informed him.

"I see." he acknowledged the information before entering the room.

There wasn't much furniture in the room except for 4 thrones with the symbols of the 4 suits - Club, Heart, Diamond, Spade. The Diamond and Spade throne are already taken by Diamante and Pica, and Doflamingo threw (Y/n) onto the Heart throne.

"Thank you for waiting." the warlord greeted his officers before looking out the window, "The colosseum is always packed, thanks to you, Diamante."

"What are you saying? Doffy, that's because you're a charismatic king." Diamante denied.

"No." Doflamingo walked towards Diamante, " It's because you're strong."

"Stop, you make it sound like I'm the hero of the colosseum."

"You are the hero of the colosseum."

"Stop saying that."

Doffy stepped back and his voice surprisingly softened, "Okay, I stop." "Alright, I admit it if you insist! Yes, I am the hero of the colosseum!"

(Y/n), who was still awake, sweatdropped at the scene in front of her. '...This crew is filled with weirdos I swear...' she thought.

The window Doflamingo was looking out of suddenly opened and Trebol entered. "Hey, hey, hey, I brought it! Doffy, it's that thing!" he held up a small chest in his hand.

"You're too close!" Doffy scolded, "Too close but?" "But I like it. Sit down." his voice softened as he took the chest into his own hands.

Trebol followed his orders and went to sit down on his assigned throne when he saw (Y/n) slumped on the Heart throne. "Hey, hey, Doffy! What is she doing here?" he asked.

"Hm?" Doflamingo looked to see what he was referring to and grinned. "When I defeat Law, she will be the new occupant for the Heart." (Y/n) bit back her words to prevent another beating that could potentially affect something permanently.

Doflamingo lifted up the chest to show it to everyone, "If Straw Hat Luffy finds out about this, I'm sure he will try to get hold of it. An alliance can sometimes prove a hindrance." he said, "Diamante, I want to entrust this to you."

"Wait a second, Doffy! I can't take it." 'Not this again...' (Y/n) rolled her eyes.

"No, I want to entrust this to you."

"Stop. You make it sound like I'm some kind of genius."

"I can only entrust this to a genius like you."

"Stop saying that."

"Okay... I'll stop." "Alright, I admit that I'm a genius if you insist! Yes! I can take care of that dumbass Straw Hat."

Doflamingo laughed his evil laugh, "I'll be counting on you! I know he will jump at it!" opening the chest, he took out whatever was held inside and the (h/c) haired witch widened her eyes. "That's-!" heads turned towards her since this was the first time she spoke ever since she entered the room.

"That's right. The source of his late brother's power. The mera mera no mi (flare-flare fruit). I'm sure he wouldn't want anybody else to have it!"
