The Next Night

Ayato's P.O.V

I woke up to slight back pain. Along with some pain in my neck. Wow, was this how Lucy felt when she decided to sleep on the couch when she was pregnant? I should have tried harder to make her sleep in my bed.

The sound of light breathing caught my attention causing me to realize the warmth of someone sleeping on my chest. I opened my eyes and looked down to see Lucy sleeping so peacefully. I felt my face heat up. How was I supposed to react to this? Should I have been angry, happy, something else? Her eyes fluttered opened and the blush returned to her face.

Lucy's P.O.V

As I opened my eyes I had seen Ayato's blushing face and couldn't help but blush myself. This had been rare for him to do this but even when I was a nurse at his school...

Seeing him blush had always made my heart somehow skip a beat. I slowly found myself moving closer to his lips with him doing the same. His left hand brushed some of the loose strands of my hair back before it rested on my cheek. I felt his lips press against mine and every emotion I once felt about him before resurface. I wrapped my arms around his neck and deepened the kiss. The both of us falling victim to our emotions.

"Mama Papa" We quickly backed away and looked at Chiyo who seemed bewildered. We then looked at each other and quickly backed away from each other with a blush still on our faces. 

"I..I...Is there something wrong...Chiyo?" I asked. 

"Ummm...Reiji-ojisan (uncle Reiji) said that breakfast is ready." She said awkwardly before she walked out. 

Breakfast

Breakfast had surprisingly been silent. What made it worse had been that Ayato and I had been sitting next to each other. "Mama Papa, why are you two acting so strange?" Chiyo asked.  We were trying our hardest to avoid each other but right now we had no choice but to somehow interact.  Especially after what Chiyo had seen.

"The aura between you two has been weary I have to admit." Oh no, not Reiji as well.

"Did something happen between you two?" Laito said making our eyes widen and the rest of the table to look at us.
