Nathen pov.

As we walked back to beacon I could feel the tension being pulled in multiple directions. I sighed and stopped looking at them. "Is this seriously how it's going to be?" I asked a bit annoyed before Pyrrha spoke up.

"I'm sorry but most of us have never had to kill anyone before. So this information about you killing people is a bit unnerving." She said carefully choosing her words. I raised my eyebrows in an amused fashion.

"Well then I envy you. No one should have to kill, but war does that to people. Turns soldiers like me into emotionless wrecks." I say sadly as Ozpin and Glynda gave me a knowing look. "Besides I've only killed those who deserve it. Like that IMC pilot who almost killed me." EI in his bot form was scanning the area looking for any hostiles.

"Pilot I recommend we continue our walk. It isn't the safest here." I nodded and our little merry group pushed on back to beacon.

Timeskip.

I stood on the stage as the students were clapping and cheering for me. It was obvious it was slightly forced, but I didn't let it bother me. "For collecting the white Bishop Nathen Ryan will be on his own one man team used for support or reacon missions." Ozpin announced to the crowd as they were silent. EI was in my dorm room transferring back to his Titan form back at my childhood home. The maintenance bots I left there were tasked with cleaning up and repairing it. "It is a pleasure to have a well trained student among us in Beacon." Ozpin said to me as he shook my hand. I nodded before I walked off stage. I sighed seeing the crowd of students trying to get out. So being the smart guy I am I cloaked and shot my grapple into the rafters swinging out the door above the students. I uncloaked right in front of the crowd startling most of the kids there before walking too my dorm. I looked at my hud seeing it display the regional time. It was 7 PM so it was time to train. I went to my room and closed the door before getting out of my armor. I put on a black tshirt, some dark blue jeans, and my socks and combat boots. I left my room going past multiple students who gave me an odd look as I went out to the courtyard. I saw the sunset making the sky glow with colors. It wasn't as beautiful as Harmony, but still wow. I got to the water fountain in the middle and dropped to my hands starting my regular workout routine. I had headphones in playing Bon Jovi's We weren't born to follow. I nodded my head along to the beat as I did my push ups. EI was so far silent which was normal since we've talked the most in the last day then all of my time in 9 years. Before I knew it I was on my 30th push up when I felt some vibrations in the ground. I stopped and sat back not looking behind me as my hand slowly reached for my holstered pistol. I slowly turned my head and saw a girl with a barrette looking at me. I pulled out my headphones to listen to whatever she was saying.

"Quite an interesting initiation." She said sitting on the fountain ledge. I nodded not saying anything. "Especially when that robot came out of nowhere shooting that guy." She said calmly as I raised my eyebrow.

"You're awfully calm about the fact that the guy died." I say with interest as she shrugged.

"Hey it was obviously either you or him." She stated to which I nodded in agreement. "But I'm not here about him. I'm here to learn about you." She said with a promicus vibe.

"Oh really?" I say as EI started to contact me. "Sorry one sec." I say holding up a hand to the girl. I pulled out my mic and answered. "What up EI?"

"Pilot I have made contact with Commander Briggs as requested." EI said as I sighed.

"Thanks put her on." I say and waited as a beep signaled a call transferred.

"What is it Pilot?" She asked as I was taken back by the forwardness.

"Oh just letting you know that so far I've only encountered 1 IMC pilot and by the looks he was Rogue." I explain to Sarah as she took in the information.

"Alright thanks Nathen. Sorry for the rudeness but kinda busy with planning attacks on some IMC facilities." She said before hanging up. I pulled the mic off putting it up shaking my head. I turned back to the girl in the barrette.

"Done with your call?" She asked.

"Yep so who are you?" I asked as she smiled.

"The names Coco Adele. Pleasure to meet you Nathen." We shook hands before I got on my back getting ready to do sit ups. "Why are you training right now?"

"You never know what's going to happen." I say as she raised an eyebrow before yawning.

"Well I'm going to bed. See ya tomorrow." She said flirty like while I just continued on with my training.
