The younger one settled and the older one ready to sleep. Sonic finished the song, smiling at his children before turning to leave only to see his husband at the doorway. He walked out, pushing his husband back with a smile and gently shutting the door of the room. "They love that little song you sing them." "I know. It's because I'm the best. But..." he walked his fingers up shadows chest "how about I show you how I am the best seems though it's Christmas" he says seductively, making the other hedgehog smirk as he begins to push the smaller hedgehog back into their bedroom as he leans down to kiss him, locking the door of their bedroom behind them.

"Boyyys" sonic called into his two sons bedroom. "Guess who's been" he crept over to the two parallel beds where his sons lay asleep, their father, Shadow the Hedgehog, stood in the doorway, allowing his mate to wake their pups earlier than usual. "Come on... Shadeyyyy" Sonic shook his sleeping 4 year old son, the eldest of the two, the child tossed "no mama... I don't wanna go grocery shopping again..." the boy said half asleep. His mother laughed at him "no slady, it's Christmas" he stated and shook his pup once again. The boys eyes shot open as he jumped up onto his feet at the words of him mother, he jumped up and down on the bed "Santa's been?!" He yelled in excitement. His deaf younger brother still snoring quietly next to him. "Yea, go to daddy while I wake your brother then we can go open them" Shadow smiled and opened his arms up for his son, the smaller lookalike jumped off his bed and ran over to his 'papa', jumping up into his arms.

The blue herm turned on the one year old hearing aids and shook him gently "sinzy " sonic whispers once again "time to wake up." The younger one slowly opens his eyes and snuggles up to his mother "hello my little boy" sonic kissed the toddlers ear before picking him up "Santa has been for you and shadey" sonic spoke. "Hmm... Sana?" The little on barely understanding what he was saying. "Yes baby, Santa" he took him over to shadow as his navy blue son rubbed his eyes tiredly. "I'll have to make him some milk. Let Slade Open his stocking while he waits" the azure male said and headed down stairs with his spouse and pups.

"Hurry then mommy! I wanna see what Santa brung me and Sinny!" Slade yelled in excitement, startling his younger brother as he pinched his toes as they were the only place on his younger brothers body that he could reach at that moment.

The grey on raced down the stairs and got the grey and green stocking off the wall, matching his fur and eyes, he took it into the kitchen as the placed it on the small dining room table and climbed up on a chair to open it with help from his father while his mother made Sinos a bottle of milk to drink. Sonic and shadow prefers to let the children in the room once they are more awake as Sin can be cranky when he's tired and he wanted the boys to see what was in the living room at the same time.

Slade eagerly pulled a small present out and unwrapping it as he went along. He was speedy in doing so, gasping each time he opened a present being overly exited about what ever that got him. He even gasped at a toothbrush that was in the stocking and constantly thanking santa after each thing he opened. He was excitable and giddy. With each gasp the two older males would laugh as they thought it was hilarious and cute. They younger one was wider awake after his bottle and now giving off little 'Abbas' and saying 'momma' and 'papa' all good with 'sana' meaning Santa. Which he rarely got right and those were the only few words he new unless it was "boccie" meaning he was hungry or wanted milk. After sins stocking, with help from Slades expertise in unwrapping, it was finally time to enter the living room.

Slade lead his younger brother to the living room, holding his hand as their parents follow behind. The youngest boy, unsure of what they were doing in the first place but the oldest knowing exactly what was happening. He pushed the living room door open, revealing two huge piles of presents. Sin, looking at the piles and letting go of his brother and went up to the piles and looking at them before running back at their mother and raising his arms to be picked up, not knowing what was happening. "It's okay. They aren't scary, they are presents for you baby boy" Sonic said, before turning his attention to Slade. "Can we open 'em papa?" He said, with an overload of excitement, bouncing up and down, whilst looking at Shadow. "Yep. They are all yours" Shadow said with a smile creeping onto his face.

Slade smiled and ran over to one of the plies that had his names on a big sheet of paper so he knew that it was his pile. Sonic sat on the grey sofa, taking Slade with him which was next to his pile of presents so sonic could help him as Shadow collected all the wrapping paper that would be ripped up by both of their young boys. Sonic pulling an end of the paper loose then letting the young boy which was sat on his mother's cross legged lap, rip the paper from the toy or piece of clothing.

Once they finish and all the presents were unwrapped and all the rubbish collected, the boys played with their new toys as our hero's, Sonic and Shadow the hedgehog sat cuddling on the sofa while watching the boys. "Don't think your going without presents this year sonic" the dark male whispers in his Husbands ear, leaning over the arm of the sofa and grabbing a gift bag which was filled with colourful tissue paper and presents.

"Shadow" the blue hedgehog pouted as he sat up and took the bag " I thought we weren't buying for each other this year" he said while feeling bad. "Well I know you've bought for me because your little helpers may have ruined the surprise for me." Shadow chuckled softly. Sonic looked over at Slade "He told you?" Sonic asked "accidentally" Shadow replies. "Now Open it!" Shadow said. The blue male pulled the tissue paper out of the bag revealing the presents that was inside. He pulled one out which caught the eye of their sons. "Open it mama!" Slade said and ran Over once picking his younger brother up and sitting on his dads lap to watch.

"Both of you can open one for me" sonic said and giving both of his presents to their sons, letting them pull the paper off. They both reveal small boxes, one with a bracelet in and one with New running shoes in. When he looked at the once they were unwrapped he looked at his husband "aww thank you shadey" Sonic said and kissed his cheek. "There should be a card in there too" Shadow said making his husband look back in the bag then pull it out.

He took the envelope off the card and opened it. "To my wonderful husband ... merry Christmas and a happy new year, lots and lots of love from, Shadow, Sin, Slade and summer... P.S...... look in the envelope?" Sonic read out loud. He put the card down and pulled out some tickets "a holiday?!" Sonic said in excitement as his husband nodded. "Thank you so much shadow! Yours is in the garage" Sonic said as he picked sin up "close you eyes papa!!" Slade said "Abaaaa papaaaaa!" Sinos giggled and clapped his hands. As they made their way to the garage.

As they reached the garage door the dark male was demanded to close his eyes by his husband. The door was pushed open and
Reveals the present as they guide him into the room. He kept his eyes closed until he was told to open his eyes. "Sonic you really didn't have to" Shadow said as he looks over in excitement. "Is amazing. Thank you so much baby" Shadow said and kissed his cheek. "Abaaaaa!!!" Sinos yelled at his father as he wanted to be the one kissing his mothers cheek. The young boy opened his mouth and pressed his mouth up against his cheek as a kiss.

"Well I know how much you love your motorcycle so I figured I'd get you one." He said with his cheery smile that he gave which his husband adored. "I love you so much my ultimate husband"

Those words rang through the dark males head. "Damn it!" He yelled at himself in pure anger "damn it.." He repeated but in a softer tone. "Papa..." his eldest son wonders in after hearing all the noise that his father had caused from the garage. "Slade your suppose to be in bed" "I couldn't sleep..." he said with teary eyes. Shadow walks towards his son who wasn't as happy as he was on that day... before the incident. "It was all my fault papa..." he said while sharply inhaling. "And sinny won't stop crying again...".

The male picked up his son and headed upstairs to his now screaming son, what had developed from a crying boy. "Papa try sing it to him" "but I can't That was your mother's thing" "but sinny needs it. Try" shadow sighed heavily as he try's to recall the lyrics. "I can't remember it." Which made his eldest face palm himself

"Wait... maybe..." Shadow pulled his phone out and went back to old messages between him and sonics to find a video of sonic singing it. He had sent this to shadow before because of his job that he had gotten at Amy's cafe but sometimes has to collect pastries for her which was earlier with is speed. So sometimes he would have been doing errand for her so he had to go away for a couple of days.

Shadow played the song to his unsettled pup. Which calmed him down a lot. Slade and sin would wake up crying a lot of the time after what they had to witness at their ages as they were only little pups and was a bit traumatised by the experience. Shadow tucked both of the boys back into bed, nuzzling the both of them as he left them, leaving the room and closing the door behind him, now beginning a breakdown after hearing his dead husbands voice again since what happened.

"Shadow why don't you ever say you love me?" The azure asked curiously, upset at the fact that he never heard such words from his husband. "I don't want to say that to you just in case I hurt you sonic" Shadow said "I don't care. Your my husband. I want to hear these things from you. Are you planning something? Are you going to hurt me? To hurt us?" He said taking a step away from his husband, placing his hand against his pregnant self. "no im not planning to do anything to you or our pup. You have to understand sonic"

"No shadow." He said In a shaky voice "no. I'm not going to let you do this to us. Love us or leave us shadow. I don't care what you do. But just know if you leave don't think your seeing you son" he is with a unfriendly tone. "Sonic calm down you having a mood swing. You need to think about this" Shadow said "you know what I've been through in the past." "Then please explain to me o so perfect mr ultimate life form why you never seem to say the three words I need to hear the most right now. Because I've treated you right and you have no reason to say that to me." "Sonic I do trust you. I honestly do. I wouldn't be with you if not" Shadow said. "Yeah right."

"I do" Shadow said with a smile creeping onto his face as he held his husbands hands, looking his husband up and down, Admiring how he looked in his black tuxedo with a blue bow tie to match.

"You May kiss your husband" they immediately leaned over to each other and kissed each other before walking back down the isle, waving to family and friends as they walk out. "I love you so much. I can't wait to have my future with you. To build a home together, to have children with you" "me too" Shadow said, looking over to his husband.

"Shadow I really like you! A lot! I don't care if you don't but I just wanted you to know that I did! I want to be your boyfriend! Shadow I'm gay for you!" The naive blue blur yelled towards the bewildered ultimate lifeform. "I don't care if you punch me now I jut wanted you to know" the once confident hedgehog says while taking a few steps back avoiding eye contact with his rival. "Faker this is just one of your stupid pranks again. Don't mess with my feelings." Shadow the dark one scolded. "I'll prove it" the blue one spoke. "How?" Without a second after the cobalt one found the azure ones lips pressed up against his. Without even a warning.

However, shadow could himself falling for him too, so he allowed himself to melt into the kiss he was receiving. "How about that for starters?" The younger one said after pulling away. "That was... amazing faker."

Shadow hugged and picked up his eldest son in one arm whilst having his youngest in the other. "I'm sorry Slade I know is hard." He has snapped with his son over nothing. The ebony one was so stressed out and depressed so when his son would whine he just wanted to yell at him to stop. Most of the time he doesn't. He calms himself down before he lashes out at him but this time Slade had started crying right after he got Sinos asleep, which was a task within itself so when Slade cried and woke him up. It made the father of the two yell at his eldest.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you. I shouldn't have done that. It's not your fault this has happened, I'll make it up to you tomorrow but you both need your rest." Shadow said and took both of his sons into his bedroom, the one he had shared with his husband. However, he hadn't been back in there since that day. He saw where his husband had sat, his gloves screwed up on his bedside table. He sighed as he let his sons see how he was feeling. The first time he had ever let them see him like this. The first time he let them see him cry. He put his pups on the bed. "I'll let you stay in mommy's room tonight if it will help" shadow said.

Shadow laid on the bed with his pups and hummed the time of the lullaby to them both. He fell asleep, holding his sons protectively In his arms. They all slept together. Liking each other's company.
