DON'T👏LEAVE👏HATE👏COMMENTS👏ON👏WRITING👏

please don't ever leave a nasty hate comment on someone's writing. constructive criticism is fine, but don't describe how much you want their piece of writing to go burn in hell no matter how bad it is. everyone has to start somewhere, and you and most likely other people leaving nasty hate comments probably ruined something that the author enjoyed, and they probably never want to write again. are you happy now, that you crushed someone's dreams???

when i see a fic i don't like, i ignore it. i stop reading it. i don't go out of my way to tell someone that they should die bc their fic is bad

also, i want to bring up the term """mary sue""" have i ever told you how much i hate that term??? normally its used to put down female main characters who have a little more power than usual. well if they don't have that kind of power then why are they the main character??? why are they the one going on this adventure and not the normal background character???

a mary sue is someone who breaks the rules of their universe to conform to their needs, not a slightly powerful female character, or someone with a long name, or a beautiful character, or a character who can sing.

and a lot of people seem to think cliche = mary sue when thats not the case

your character is related to a canon character? okay, cool!! that does not make your character a mary sue.

your character is the quirky nerd? nice!! that doesn't make your character a mary sue.

your character is emo/goth? awesome!! but that doesn't mean your character is a mary sue.

i get that some fics are really bad, but that person is really brave for putting their writing on the internet where everyone can see!!!

if you really want to vent, make a vague post about it!!!
