King Kain and Queen Haruto stood at the entrance with suitcase at hand. The siblings ran over to their parents saying their good-byes.

"We'll come after a week or two" Queen Haruto said.

"That's too long, Mother!" Victoiré gave a pout. Queen Haruto gave a chuckle and patted her daughter's unique hair.

"Mama and Papa will come back. We promise" Queen Haruto said, glancing at King Kain which he gave a nod.

"Of course, my sweet flower" King Kain said with a closed eyed smile. Then he turned to look at Izana. "I'm counting on you Izana to be the King for the meantime were gone"

Izana gave a nod in response. "Yes, Father"

King Kain looked down at Zen and smiled. "And you Zen, please take care of Izana and Vic, alright?"

Zen had a proud grin. "I will Father!"

And with that, their parents waved their goodbyes. The siblings watched as the ship their parents are in slowly moves away from the shore. Little did they know the upcoming event.

It has been two weeks since their parents went for the trip, and still there had been no sign of them.

"Hey, Brother Izana" The young redhead princess called out to her older brother, tugging at his sleeve. Meanwhile, her other twin was sleeping on the couch in Izana's office.

"What is it, Vic?" He asked sincerely, slightly patting his sister's hair.

"When will Mother and Father come back?" Victoiré's blue eyes met up with Izana's dark blue ones.

"Hmm... Big Brother isn't sure either" Izana said with a frown but quickly replaced it with a smile. "Don't worry, they'll come back soon."

The door suddenly burst open, a guard was covered in sweat and panting heavily. He scanned the room he spotted Izana.

"What is it, Teru?" Izana questioned, his eyebrows furrowed. The guard by the name of Teru went towards the temporary king and gave a bow.

"I apologize for the sudden intrusion but your highness..." The guard glanced at Victoiré and Zen with pity before his gaze went back to Izana, whispered something that Victoiré couldn't hear. But she knew it wasn't good news, it was the other way around based on Izana's expressions.

The guard gave his bow and silently left the room. Ever since that day, the world seemed so dark and empty. The usual liveliness in the castle slowly faded when they heard the news.

"The King and Queen are gone..."

Victoiré walked down the hallways, until she stopped on a certain door as she tried to put a convincing smile. And when she opened the door, she saw a furious Mitsuhide pacing back and forth.

"Mitsuhide what's wrong?" Victoiré asked, her head slightly tilt.

"Zen escaped. Again" He said and clicked his tongue.

Victoiré gave a sigh. "I'll find him, then" Victoiré said walking out of the room, with her eyebrows furrowed.

As she closed the door, she can hear Mitsuhide scold himself for not keeping an eye on his master. But for Victoiré, she guessed that he was with his dear Shirayuki. Victoiré went to the guards who were on duty in the front gates of the castle, when the guards were alarmed of the raven-haired princess' presence they gave a bow.

"Kai, Shiira have you seen Zen? He ran off again" Victoiré asked, playing with the tip of her hair.

"He went to take a walk in the garden with a redhead girl, Princess" Kai said.

As Victoiré knew, she grinned and waved goodbye at the two castle guards and made her way to the garden to find the two, whom she gave a name of lovebirds. She saw them together in the gazebo and hid behind the rose bushes. Her eyes softened as she watched how lovely they were together even if they were just having a normal conversation. She wondered, will her feelings be able to reach the person whom she liked for so long?

She gave one last glance at the two lovebirds and went back to Zen's office to wait for him. Zen's office became somewhat like the place she always go to because of how lively Zen, Mitsuhide and Kiki were. She always envied how Zen could be so close to his aides.

When she heard the door open, she didn't dare to look up from her book to see who the person is, she already knew that it was her dearest twin brother.

"So, how was your date?" Victoiré said bluntly.

The white haired man blushed instantly. "It wasn't a date!"

"Alright~" She hummed as she flipped a page of the book.

"So why are you here?" Zen asked, as sat down beside her on the couch.

"Nothing really" She said. "Also," Her voice suddenly change into a serious one. "I heard that Lord Brother will be back in a few days"

She saw her twin tensed up just by hearing their brother's name. She closed the book she was reading and placed it back on the bookshelf.

"Bye" Victoiré said, walking out of the room. Then she paused to look at Zen, who gave a questioning look. "I know you like Shirayuki"

Her twin instantly turned red again. "I don't like her that way!"

"Sure you do~" She cooed and left the room.

Victoiré always woke up early unlike her twin brother, but unfortunately today he woke up early which was very unusual.

"You're up early" She said. "Are you going to visit Shirayuki?"

His cheeks turned beet red. "Well, you can say that"

Victoiré gave a smirk and gave him a hard pat at the back. "Have a safe trip!"

It has been three days since Shirayuki last visited the castle, and moreover she would always take visits everyday. Zen also thought it was rare of her not to visit, after all she only traveled to the other island for a day to get herbs yet she hasn't come by the castle. And so, the twins decided to go to the island Shirayuki went.

They arrived at the island, as they walk further at the deep forest they found an abandoned mansion. They heard noises like glass shattering, the both of them looked up seeing shards of glass and Shirayuki jumped out of the window as she tried to reach the tree branch but failed to do so and fell. The person who tried to kidnap the certain redhead was able to catch up to her, but Zen was able to hit the man's leg using his sword as the man fell to his knees while Victoiré tied the man's arms and legs.

"Are you hurt Shirayuki?" Zen asked as he bent down by Shirayuki's level.

"I'm alright, don't worry" Shirayuki said, giving a reassuring smile. He smiled back at the redhead and averted his gaze at the kidnapper with a glare.

"Shirayuki isn't a person to be used as a tool!" Zen growled.

"And who are you to tell me that? I am Mihaya the riche—"

Zen cut him off. "I am the second prince of Clarines, Zen Wistaria." He said with a smirk.

"And I am the first princess of Clarines, Victoiré Wistaria" Victoiré said, standing beside her dear twin brother.

"And we are the royal twins of Clarines" They said in sync.

Mihaya looked at the them with fear in his eyes. "I surrender..." He said.

They went back to Clarines, as they dropped Shirayuki down of her apartment.

"So, who's older between the two of you?" Shirayuki asked, before they bid their goodbyes.

"Well, I am older than Vic by seven minutes" Zen said. "But sometimes it just feels like she's the older twin between us"

"That's because you're so irresponsible..." Seon muttered yet Zen was able to hear.

"I heard that!" Zen said, then turned to Shirayuki. "Then, good night Shirayuki. I'll see you tomorrow?"

Shirayuki gave a nod. "Good night Zen, Victoiré" And with that, she went inside her apartment.

"Hey Zen," Victoiré called to her twin.

Zen turned to look at his twin. "Hm?"

"I'm glad we met Shirayuki" Victoiré said, looking up at the starry sky.

Zen gave a nod in agreement, as he also looked at the starry sky above them. "I'm glad to have met a girl like her"
