I Take This Bow

Ever she opens the curtains wide
My heart roars with the ocean tide
For there within her subtle eyes
is the breaking of my worldly pride

The sunlight above the autumn trees
shines down they say to blind me
Yet I do not hear what I will not see
She is the view and my only breeze

If I bore the brunt of an ancient birth
The selfsame pain of family curse
I might run or make life worse
were I now not so immersed

But care I not for consequence
So long as Love has drawn me hence
In this moment raw and tense
my passions will not relent

One step, one knock, one future now
For ill or good or love somehow
If fate or God shall here allow
at her tender feet I take this bow
