Some like the long hot days of summer.

I cherish the short brisk days of winter.

Families huddled together in the warmth of cozy homes.

Sharing hot meals and warm memories.

The magnificent beauty of ice coated trees and bushes replacing the green leaves of spring and summer.

Out dazzling the brilliant bursts of colorful wonder of autumn.

Water flows and fountains frozen in motion as time flies by.

Kids...big and small, bundled up as if to fend off the sting of the wind.

Terms like arctic vortex, wind chill and winter weather warning being tossed around as people prepare for the deep freeze.

This is the time of year that I so look forward to.
