The moon followed me again last night

Everywhere I went

It was there

Looking down on me from above

As if to reassure me that I was safe

The moon followed me again last night

It hung low last in an extremely warm November sky

It lighted my way and lifted my low heart with gravitational pull

Giving me strength with its pull

The moon followed me again last night

Usually it just sits around the house and watches to see if I will leave

So when I decided to go out last night it was like greeting an old reliable friend

I followed the moon last night

So we went everywhere
