The woods were silent.

The woods were hot and still. Not a breeze stirred.

The woodland seemed ominously quiet. Nova paused, now that even the sound of her own footfalls was silent, all that could be heard was the susurration of the leaves in the gusty wind. Looking up, she was transfixed by the myriad of fluttering leaves that danced in the high boughs, making a living roof above her.

She was calmed, almost hypnotised, but the longer Nova stared the more the leaves looked like eyes staring back down at her and the boughs seemed to draw closer, blocking the sunlight as if they were forming a cage around her.

Her eyes were focused on the leaves, forgetting everything around herself. For once she felt at peace. Nothing was bothering her, she felt energized, alive and free.

The cold refreshing air of the late night summer breeze were getting through her nostrils. Taking in the scents of spring rain, wet leaves, the cherry blossoms, the scent of pinecones, even dirt.

"Nova I need you to stop trying to fight it off"

There it was again, the voice that she didn't miss at all. The one voice that deep inside scares her of the unknown.

Is she imagining the ghostly voice or is it real? As real as the supernatural world could be?

"WAKE UP"

The high-pitched scream woke Nova up from her nap she was taking while her mother Alice and her newly adopted brother, Wyatt, were driving back from New York.

"Did I wake you up?", Wyatt's calm voice sound up sympathizing with Nova's constant and personalized nightmares she was getting almost every two or three days, as half of his face reappeared from hiding deep inside of his comic.

"Oh no, T! I just slept bad, not your fault", Nova calmed him down reassuring him he didn't do anything wrong, with a soft smile she looked over to her mother who was also feeling bad for her.

Alice knew about the latest issues that Nova had, Finn noticed it once at the beginning of the summer break just when they arrived in New York.

At first he kept it to himself until it got worse and worse. The minute Wyatt and Lin were adopted and moved in with them, Nova's nightmares decreased strangely enough.

"You're really okay, sweetheart?", Alice asked her, trying her best to give her and the driving enough attention.

"I'm fine, mom, you know just nightmares like every regular human being gets them", Nova got the hold of herself and tried to change the subject.

"Why are we coming to a stop, mom?"

Alice sighed but gave herself a mental note to talk about it with her husband later when Lin and Wyatt are the only ones at home. She knew it wasn't normal for a witch to get so many nightmares. It always means something when it happens. But sadly Nova doesn't want to open up to her like she usually does. It's like she's scared of whatever it is.

"Probably so many people are coming back from their family vacations and it's storming", the newly mother of four children answered to Nova's question.

Nova stared out of the window impatiently hoping the traffic jam will be over soon, but her wish wasn't being granted. Half hour later they were still stuck on the same position.

"Ugh can I change the weather, please? It will probably be the reason why I'll be late to the ceremony!", Nova questioned her mother impatiently and looked around if she could spot her boyfriend.

"Nova, sweetie, you can't change every little thing that is out of place or else no one will appreciate the beautiful moments in life", Alice told her wisely smiling at her through her rear-view mirror.

"And you can never make fun of it in the future", the eleven year old boy added to his adoptive mother's answer and smiled from ear to ear.

"God you're getting more alike day by day, I'm waiting outside while you have your mother son moment", Nova announced as she got out of the car, hearing two of her favorite people giggle in the car until she closed the door.

The second Nova got out of the car she felt a pair of eyes stare at her back. Goosebumps are forming on her body and her heart beats faster than ever. Her body reacted as if someone dangerous was around. But what if it's true? What if they are here?

It felt like the world went in slow motion beside of herself, the car horns can be heard miles away, every human being slowed down for a few milliseconds.

With Nova turning around the guy that caused her reaction was still staring at her, amusing himself from her reaction as if he only lives for these moments. The shock, scared eyes but something changed.

Nova wasn't scared anymore, more like relaxed and curious. Who is that guy?

Before she could deal with the mysterious guy, she heard her boyfriend's motorbike and finally his voice after weeks of being away.

"Nova!"

The teenage girl's heart started to beat faster just like a few minutes ago but this time for the only guy she ever loved from the bottom of her heart. By turning around to see her boyfriend, Scott, her smile got bigger and bigger.

She missed her dorky and cute boyfriend. She missed his smile and laughter everytime Stiles and her were arguing about every little thing. Him decreasing her panic and anxiety attacks by just being himself and being there for her.

"Scotty!"

For once Nova is excited for being back, the last month was amazing, but not as amazing as it would have been if her friends that are her second family were with her.

Not to forget it was the first time that Amal, Alice, Finn and Nova went officially as a family. Nothing felt weird when Alice and Finn wanted to talk about their "little" situation, it came to the girls naturally calling both of the adults "mom" and "dad". Even when the parents of two girls wanted to adopt two more children, the girls were so excited to meet their new siblings.

Belinda, liked to be called Lin, wasn't the kind of a person who talked much, she's one of the observer person. Listening, keeping their opinions to themselves and all the secrets they hear out of the bits of conversations she's near off.

Wyatt on the other hand likes to get into deep conversations with someone what surprises a lot of older people, but a lot of people forget that eleven year olds can be very mature sometimes, only if they want to and are very interested into something.

Both of them grew up in an orphanage for supernatural children after living almost five years in pure hell. But here they are happy in a family that loves them.

"Where is Lin?", Nova questioned her sister, Amal, after arriving with Scott at the school parking lot.

"She preferred staying home, tomorrow is her very first school day and wanted to prepared", Amal responded, still holding on to her boyfriend's hand anf snuggling him until her friends are there.

While Stiles, Lydia and Maria still didn't arrive, Nova gave Scott her gift that she bought in New York. It was small but very thought through, what he appreciated and overwhelmed her with kisses and love.

Her giggle can be heard miles away, it was true laughter coming right from her heart.

"Do you think we will get new students?", Nova asked the three that were still waiting for the others, after she remembered the guy from the traffic jam.

"Or new teachers?", Isaac added to her answer.

However before she could get an honest and confused answer by the three teens in front of her, she was attacked by someone from the back with a bone crushing hug.

Startled Nova tried her best not to fall down and keep them both steady before getting a better look of the person.

"I missed you too Stiles", Nova giggled and attempted to hug him the same way.

They say the pain dulls with time, and that things will get better. But it's been a few months since she last saw him. Since she almost lost him to the other side, but at the end lost him to make him get a taste of the freedom and happiness he long lost years ago.

Nova truly was happy for him, they all were! But as much as he was a grumpy cat, they missed him. They also missed his arguments with Stiles that makes them look like an old married couple.

Even though the pack made a promise of keeping their distance to him and not call him after every little thing, Nova almost daily casts a spell on him to be to be assured that he was fine and alive, she knows him way too well, but of course doesn't interfere with his road trip and plans.

She misses Derek a lot, he was the big brother she never had and wished to have growing up. They made plenty of memories together as a sibling duo and loved to prank Stiles while building an unbreakable bond and curing their broken heart.

"I miss him too", Scott whispered into Nova's ear as he laid his head on her right shoulder and his arms protectively made their way around her body.

Nova swallowed the lump in her throat and strived to seem strong, even after feeling exposed by her boyfriend's eyes and words.

Scott knew that she didn't meant it to stay quiet. He knew her too well for that, it was to prevent the tears that were about to find their own free will.

"I'm pretty sure he misses you too and your sassy comments after his sarcastic ones that he usually says with a monotone and annoyed voice", Scott thought back to those times and smiled big when he saw she was finally feeling better and had a soft smile on her lip.

"I love you", Nova softly said with her whole heart and gave him short but warmly kiss on the lip before signing her name next to his and Derek's.

An hour later the almost seniors walked down the stairs content about finally also being part of a school tradition and school property that will make other students in the near future remember the bond between these teenagers even after when they are married, have children of their own and are more experienced with life.

"Can we go eat somewhere?", Lydia threw the question in the round randomly as the group came to a stop after noticing they got nothing to do.

"I'm actually starving", Malia noticed her dying stomach when Lydia started talking about food.

Everyone agreed with the two girls and started arguing where to eat beside of Nova and Scott.

Nova felt a weird presence that made her feel sick to her stomach. She wasn't sure if it was a good one or a bad one. It also could be one that was actually bad but hides it and the uncertainty scared her.

"Are you sure you'll gonna be fine?", Scott asked her in a whispering voice and one of his arms around her waist.

"I'm a hundred percent sure, it's not like we have another enemy already", she laughed it off and tried to find a way to get out of her situation until she finally found Hope, her twin sister, who had the same feeling.

"I'm gonna say hey to Hope, I'll be right back, give me ten minutes", Nova give him a notice, kissed him goodbye and left him as fast as she could, since he was too confused to understand what was going on.

Everyone was patiently waiting for Nova's re-arrival, but it took longer than thought. But that was normally, after being away for a few weeks, there is probably a lot to talk to and catch up to do, Scott tried to convince himself.

But that thought was long forgotten when he saw Liam running up to him completely soaked in rain water with a scared but determined expression on his face.

"There is- there is something- no wait someone- not something", Liam started to speak in confusing words instead getting straight to the point.

"Liam, what is it?", Scott asked him in a  stricter voice than usual to get his beta focused.

"There is a wolf with glowing claws on his way to school!", he finally said it in a loud voice.

Right after his confession a howl on the other side of the school can be heard.

"Nova!"

Hello everyone! Long time no see!

I'm really sorry for the sudden disappearance, but I had to focus on my grades and bla bla bla.

Who would've thought a pandemic huh?

Anyways how are you feeling? It's kinda weird to think it's been a year since I published the first part of Nova!

I already got a whole plan for the story, but I would like to hear your expectations for the second part, what do you think will happen next? Will something change? I got a lot of stories on my sleeves...

Also I thought maybe one or two tvd characters should have a guest star... but sadly I have no idea who should appear.

Ps: I want to thank each and everyone for your kind comments and your support, you mean the world to me, you always make my day with your private messages and comments. I'll try my best to read all the comments from the first story since I've been gone for a long time, so if I didn't answer to a question or something it wasn't my intention to not answer, I just didn't had time to read and write back
