☆epilogue☆
three years later.
yoonminseok were obviously still in love.
namjoon finally asked seokjin out since literally everyone knew that he liked him but they just acted like they didn't so they wouldn't embarrass him.
taehyung and jeongguk were still dating.
the past few years were what jeongguk, and even taehyung, could confidently call the best years of their life.
~three years ago~
"doll, you look amazing, calm down." taehyung said.
he was on facetime with jeongguk as he was getting ready to go on some important family trip.
"no, i don't~ i look so bad! all my cousins are gonna laugh at me and then my emotional ass is gonna cry about it and embarrass myself further." jeongguk whined.
"why would they do that? you look good." taehyung questioned.
"because, they've always picked on me ever since we were little and ever since my mum started babying me, they got worse. they'd torment me because they knew it'd get to me and it did. they don't even call me jeongguk, they just call me crybaby." jeongguk sighed.
"well, they sound like assholes to me so don't pay them any attention. besides, your mum doesn't baby you like that anymore. you're not the same since the last time they saw you. show them that you're grown now just how you showed her and jimin." taehyung advised, upset that his baby's own cousins were bullying him.
"i guess i'll try. thanks taehyungie." jeongguk smiled slightly.
"oh cmon, where's the enthusiasm?" taehyung pushed.
"i'll show them, taetae!" jeongguk claimed.
"that's right. now gimme your war cry!" taehyung encouraged.
"ahhhh..." jeongguk lack-lusteredly yelled.
"really? i said: gimme your war cry!" taehyung repeated.
"AHHHH!" jeongguk screamed.
"that's more like it." tae smiled at him.
"jeongguk! cmon we gotta go!" his father called from downstairs.
"i'll call you later tae." jeongguk said.
"alright, doll, bye."
"bubye." jeongguk said, kissing at the camera before he hung up.
~two years ago~
"babe! please!" jeongguk begged.
"nope. no. never. nuh uh." taehyung immediately responded.
"but you'll look so pwetty with makeup on~" jeongguk pouted, poking taehyung's cheek.
"you're supposed to be the pretty one in the relationship, not me. that's your job." taehyung argued.
"what's your job then?" jeongguk raised an eyebrow.
"i'm the sexy one." taehyung winked.
jeongguk slapped his arm, "i can be sexy!"
"oh, trust me, i know you can." taehyung smirked.
"sh-shut up!"
"see, look at you stuttering! you see, you're the cute one in the relationship but sometimes you switch to hot mode. for me, i'm always on hot mode." taehyung explained.
"you're stupid."
"you're stupider."
"you're the stupidest."
"you're the stupidest of all the stupidees."
"i'm leaving now." jeongguk deadpanned, walking away.
~one year ago~
"baby?"
"yes, doll?"
"do you think we'll ever get married?"
taehyung almost spit his water out.
"h-huh?" he asked.
"well... i dunno. i was just thinking about it in bed last night. we've been together for a whole two years now and i don't see myself ever leaving you." jeongguk admitted.
"i mean, i don't either. unless something terrible happens, i can't see myself being with anyone else." taehyung agreed.
"so do you think we'll be together forever?" jeongguk asked.
"yeah, i guess so, my love."
"so you think we'll get married one day?"
"well, people don't have to get married to be together forever but i'm pretty sure we will one day."
"good."
"why?"
"so i can call you my future husband as more than just a joke." jeongguk whispered before kissing his lips softly.
~present day~
all seven boys were hanging out at a diner downtown.
"don't get the mac n cheese from here. i heard it tastes like feet." seokjin commented.
"wow, why don't you say it louder so the chef'll hear you too." namjoon rolled his eyes.
"it's true though, it does taste kinda like feet." hoseok reasoned.
"hobi, why do you even know what feet taste like?" taehyung asked.
"that's a good question." jimin said.
"y'all don't even wanna know." hoseok simply said.
"well, i actually did but i don't anymore now that you've said that." yoongi commented.
"ew, hoseok." jeongguk giggled.
"literally none of you have changed." seokjin chuckled.
"what d'you mean?" jimin asked.
"you're all still the same since the day we met." seokjin explained.
"am not." jeongguk huffed like a kid.
"thank you for further proving my point, jeon jeongguk." seokjin thanked.
"offence has been taken here today."
"i mean, i think i've changed." hoseok spoke up.
"into more of a crack addict? yeah, i think so too, you psycho." namjoon added.
"ugh, rude. i'm not a crack addict, i'm an acid addict. we've talked about this." hoseok corrected.
"um, chile anyway so..." jimin mumbled.
"i agree with seokjin because you're all still insane and i'm still unbothered." yoongi pointed out.
"and i'm still hot so fair enough." taehyung added.
"literally the only thing that changed is that two more relationships happened, yoongi hates us slightly more, jimin stop being a petty bitch and jeongguk isn't a pussy anymore." namjoon said.
"hey!" jimin and jeongguk yelled.
"i can agree to that." yoongi said.
"not gonna lie, i sleep with one eye open because of yoongi. he lowkey might be a mass murderer." seokjin laughed.
"nah, he's a baby." hoseok said, poking yoongi and kissing his cheeks.
"i hate it here." the boy mumbled, trying to fight off hoseok's affection was something he learnt to not even try to do in the past three years.
"well, i'm just happy that we're all still best friends." jeongguk said softly.
"awe, of course we are." jimin cooed, hugging him.
"guys, you know what i'm thinking." hoseok said.
"what?" namjoon asked.
"group hug!"
and so they group hugged just as hoseok requested.
"ouch, you're stepping on my toe!"
"stop breathing down my neck, damn!"
"who's boney ass hip is that?"
"y'all, who forgot to put on deodorant?"
"someone needs gum."
"i can't breathe in here."
"i still hate it here."
when they released from the hug hoseok said, "well that was nice, wasn't it?"
"no."
"nope."
"nah."
"literally no."
"the opposite of nice."
"nuh uh."
"yeah, agreed, let's never hug again."
"agreed!"
~time skip~
taehyung was walking jeongguk back home.
"it's sweet that you still walk me home after all this time. it's not even late, i could go by myself." jeongguk laughed.
"i like to walk you home, though. i feel better afterwards because i know you're okay." taehyung said, pulling him close as they walked.
jeongguk held onto taehyung's arm and sighed, "i love you."
"i love you more."
"i love you most."
"i love you moster."
"i love you the mostest." jeongguk giggled.
"impossible."
"yes it is because it's true."
"it is true but for me, not you."
"that rhymed."
"oh yeah."
"i still love you more."
"no i do!"
and they argued over who loved who the most for the rest of the walk back.
