Isolation

Mollie McKinnon, daughter of Marlene McKinnon. Spent her entire life being raised by Remus Lupin, a dear friend of her mothers, and she now had the better half of Sirius Black, though he was still in hiding as the world still didn't know of his innocence and with Pettigrew out there somewhere. There was no way of clearing his name.

Mollie and Remus had recently moved into the Order of the Phoenix headquarters after Sirius loaned Albus Dumbledore his old family home, Number 12 Grimmauld Place even if he did hate being back here. She opened the door to the kitchen, to see her dog chasing Kreacher around the table.

"Dina! No," she said, causing the dog to stop chasing Kreacher.

"If you can't control that dog it'll have to go," Sirius warned

"Well you talk to her then, Padfoot," Mollie told him,

"The attitude is not appreciated," Sirius warned

"She's bored if I just take her outside for a walk she'll be a lot better," Mollie suggested, Sirius sighed pulling a chair, from the table.

"If I thought you'd be safe out there then you could go," Sirius told her

"What could happen, I'd only be out for 30 minutes, at the most," Mollie said, she crossed her arms sitting at the table with him.

"Remus and I promised your mother we'd take care of you, I think roaming out in the streets while Death Eaters are on the loose would be a bad idea don't you think," Sirius said, Mollie rolled her eyes at him.

"But I'm 17 I can do magic now, I'll be alright," Mollie plead, he sighed.

"You can ask Remus when he gets back, but don't expect him to say yes," Sirius told her, "and as much as it's fun to see Kreacher move a little quicker, I can't have the dog hurting him,"

"I'll keep her in my room then, come on Dina," Mollie patted her leg, signalling her dog to follow her upstairs.

The dog quickly ran ahead of her, being too much of a routine for Dina to be cooped up in her room. They were both prisoners here, Sirius and Remus wouldn't dare let Mollie out of their sight, but they were free to leave whenever they please. Even if Sirius left as a dog most times to avoid being sighted.

Mollie grabbed her art book and pencils, she climbed through her window onto a balcony, she stood on the window ledge climbing onto the roof. She sat comfortably on the roof, gazing over the streets of London.

"Dina, up!" she commanded

Her dog, climbed onto the edge of the balcony jumped up on the roof, laying beside her as the people go about their day, mainly muggles not having any idea of what was really happening in the world. Mollie hurried down the roof, back onto her balcony when she spotted Remus walking down the street, she held her arms up.

"Dina, jump!" she said

Dina jumped down from the roof, into Mollie's arms, she put her down and when to go and see Remus praying to Merlin that he hadn't seen her on the roof. She leashed Dina, knowing full well that he would allow her to take Dina for a walk. She also leashed her in case Kreacher was in the halls.

"Hey Remus," she said, he held his arms out, she quickly embraced him

"Have you been irritating Sirius again, he seems a little touchy," Remus whispered

"I heard that," Sirius said from the kitchen

"No, but Dina's been getting on his nerves,"

"Well now he knows how I felt about Padfoot at first,"

"I heard that! Moony" he said, Mollie was trying to hold back a laugh

"I asked Sirius but he told me to ask you, so can I take Dina out for a walk," Mollie asked, Sirius poked his head around the door frame waiting to hear Remus' answer.

"I don't see why you can't"

"Thank you, uncle Remus," she threw her arms around him.

"What are you serious-

"No, I'm Remus,"

"Not funny, you know she can't just walk out in the streets not knowing who could be around the corner,"

"Sirius, she's not a little girl, I'm sure she'll be fine, go ahead Mollie," Remus told her, gesturing towards the door.

Mollie walked towards the door with Dina, heading out of Grimmauld Place, she wasn't sure if it was due to the isolation of Grimmauld Place and not seeing daylight or the grey clouds that made the air seem eerie. She kept Dina close to her, Dina was a big dog that would easily deter someone from approaching her.

As she reached the dog park just down the street, she unhooked Dina allowing her to run around and burn off some energy, as she walked through the park, she got the feeling she was being followed. Mollie kept looking behind her, keeping her wand braced against her side, she called Dina back to her placing her back on her leash.

Mollie rushed out of the park, almost definite that she was being followed, but every time she turned around there wasn't a soul in sight which only made her more scared that there was someone out there watching her. She exited the park feeling a little safe once she spotted Grimmauld Place. She hurried back inside closing the door behind her, she leaned on the door letting out a loud sigh.

"Mollie are you alright?" Remus asked, her hand shot to her chest, he frightened her.

"Yeah, just thought you and Sirius would still be arguing, you know what he's like" she lied, unhooking Dina off her leash.

She headed upstairs to her bedroom. Mollie wondered if she was followed by a wizard seeing as she didn't see anyone around. But if Sirius or Remus were to know the reasoning for her coming home they would for sure ban her from ever leaving the house again.
