((Happy new years! How about a nice chapter to start off 2017! I hope you enjoy the chapter. It's gonna be a long one.))

"A close call"

Levi

June 10th
Location: In the eastern part of the woods

"Get on your knees right now. I will not hesitate to shoot sir." The officer said as he pulled out a gun. Two officers stepped out of the vehicle. They both had masks on. Since when did police officers have to wear masks?!

I heard the officer and did as I was told. I hesitated a bit, but I did what I was supposed to. I looked around. I could still hear the sirens so I wasn't in the clear. I've never dealt with this many around me before, so it was going to be a challenge.

I looked over at Eren. He was happy. He looked ecstatic because he was finally being rescued and taken away from me. "Eren-" I tried to say to gain his attention, but Eren was already moving towards the police officers.

"Please help me. He's been taking me hostage for months and doing horrible things to me." He cried.

"You're okay now. Please sit in the car until we contain this man." The other officer said as he pats Eren's back and watches him go into the car.

He looked at me, "Now you've got three seconds to put your hands behind your head." He said and the other officer nodded. The officer who yelled at me first began to count down.

"One."

I looked over at Eren in the car. No. Eren. Come back to me. What about everything we've gone through. Don't you love me?

"Two."

It looks like I had no choice. The voice in my head kept chanting for me to actually let him take control, but I can't let that happen. Not again. No more.

It'll get everyone around me killed. And I might even kill Eren. The love of my life. I slowly raised my hands up and put them behind my head.

"Three", Suddenly the officer who was counting had pointed their gun to the other officers head and pulled the trigger. It was over in a second. The blood oozed into the grass as the officers body laid lifeless. I sat in complete shock. Why would this officer shoot his own teammate?

"Levi...you've got some fucking nerve to get caught and just give up like that." The officer coughed and took off his mask.

Kenny Ackerman. Levi's uncle. My eyes widened as I looked at him. I put my hands down and lowered my head too. It felt like I wasn't able to breathe. I could relax. Eren on the other hand looked at the scene as if he had saw a ghost. He was very scared.

My uncle walked over and grabbed me by the arm. He pulled me up.

"What have I told you before? Don't give up so easily. There is always another way." He hissed as he scolded me.

"But...the other cars-"

"You mean this?" He said as he pulled out his phone that was on auto play to sound like a lot of police sirens. "It was only this car." He said. He spit on the ground and looked over to the corpse.

"I didn't even know the guy, but he bored me half to death." He said and took out a napkin to wipe his hands.

"Now let's go. Looks like you've gotten yourself another nice kill. I haven't had fun like this in a while." He said and coughed in his napkin. "I want to get this stupid Uniform off already." He mumbles as he took off the fake badge and tossed it to the ground.

Kenny Ackerman. My uncle. He was a ruthless murderer, a serial killer. He killed a total of...possibly 160 people throughout his years. And that was just a guess.

When the police couldn't find him, they gave up and the case went cold. Maybe they would look at the case again and try to find him.

"Actually...I kidnapped him because I fell in love with him." I said. Kenny gave me a look and sneered. "I can't believe you've gone back to this old habit of liking your victims." He hissed and then walked back to the car. The car door was open and Eren was gone.

"Shit-" I said and Kenny raised a hand.
"Calm down." He said as he raised his gun and narrowed his eyes to where the bushes and grass was all messed up. Must've been where he ran off.  He cocked his gun.

"Don't shoot him!" I yelled. Kenny only rolled his eyes. "I'm not." He hissed and then pulled the trigger. The bullet went straight in the side of a tree that Eren had just run past.

Eren fell to the ground from shock and Kenny walked over there quickly, putting his foot on the others back.

"I've chased lots of people before. I would know where people would run and so forth. Now come on, help me get him in the car. We're going back to my place." He hissed.

"We have to leave today." I stated as I pointed to our bags in the car I left.

"Well you're going to be a little behind. Don't cry about it. I'll get the bags from your car and put it in the trunk." He hissed and rolled his eyes. He took out a cigarette, lit it, and then blew a puff of smoke out.

Eren

"Mmmfh!!.. mmh-" I struggled to speak as I was thrown onto the floor. It was hard and it felt wooden, it wasn't like I was on a soft carpeting.

My eyes were blindfolded and I was gagged. As if it couldn't get any worse, Levi had let that guy tie my hands behind my back and tie my legs together. I was helpless. All I could do was listen.

"What happened to you. You were better than this. Not this sloppy." Kenny hissed as he put out his third cigarette in a little ashtray. Levi must've stayed silent because there was no response.

"Unbelievable. If this were my hostage, I'd have had my fun and then put a bullet straight in their head." He states.

"This isn't just another hostage. He's the love of my life. And no. I will not let you put a bullet in his head. I love him. He loves me. And we will be together. Forever." Levi growls as he clenched his fist and crossed his leg over the other. "I need some damn tea"

"Here you go again with the tea. All you want is tea when your nerves get riled up." Kenny said and rolled his eyes.

"Not true. I also like to drink tea in my spare time when I'm doing nothing." He said.

I could hear Levi walk past me because the floor would creak if their footsteps grew too close.

I just want to go home. I don't want this. I want to be with my friends. My mom.

Someone please come find me. I just want it to be over.

I decided to try and sleep, and maybe when I wake up, this nightmare will end. But it never does.

I'm never at home with my friends and I'm never with my mother or anyone I love.

I'm just here.

With a psychotic person who believes that I love him. Isn't that funny? It'll never happen. Not after what he did to Sasha and Connie. They shouldn't have been killed.

A tear rolls down my cheek because I remembered that I was supposedly going to avenge Connie. Yeah, hows that going huh, Eren? You failure.

I couldn't believe I was scolding myself in my head, I needed to get out of here before I truly go crazy.

My thoughts were cut off when I got a kick in the stomach. The wind got knocked out of me. I slowly curled up, gasping a little bit. Levi walked in the room to see Kenny standing over me.

"What The fuck, Kenny." He hissed. Kenny only looked at Levi and shrugged. "I got bored. You know how I get when I get antsy." He said and then walked to the small kitchen.

They were in a small home that Kenny had been taking refuge in. It was more like a cabin, but Kenny liked to call it home. He murdered some of his victims there.

"Get some rest. You leave in the mornin'. You might as well take that old police car. Its junk." He said.

I closed my eyes when the pain soon faded away and then finally got some rest.

It was short-lived when I was soon woken up by a sharp yank at my collar. I was dragged outside and I could tell because the very little light under my blindfold got a bit brighter.

I was shoved in the back of the police car and then after a few minutes the car began to move.

Levi reached behind the drivers seat and then removed the blindfold from my eyes and the gag on my mouth. He didn't take off my restraints on my arms and legs.

"Let me go" I demanded. I was only given a short laugh in response. "I mean it. I will never love you" I hissed.

All of a sudden the car made a sudden halt and I jerked forward, hitting my head on the seat in front of me.

"Let that be a lesson to you for opening your mouth for 5 seconds and saying stupid shit. Don't make me come back there and have you regret it." Levi hissed.

Another car, was following them but not too close. Levi didn't think much of it, since it was a public road, it just wasn't used much. He gripped the steering wheel and then looked at the sea. It was sparkling blue with a hint of turquoise.

"I remember when you posted that video of you at the beach. You were with your friends and you were enjoying your time at the ocean-"

"So what." I hissed.

"It got 428 likes, 23 comments, and 3,050 views." He said and smiled. "I liked every single one of your posts. I would screenshot the ones I liked the most, download them, and then print them." He said.

He moved over to the glove compartment and then hit it so that it popped open. Photos of Eren were inside and he tossed some back to the other. "I grabbed them from the car that we left and put them in this police car. Nice huh?"

He continued, "Photo #1, You and your mom, 237 likes, 53 comments." He explained and my face paled as I looked at the pictures.

"W-why--"

"Photo #2, You and your blonde friend, Armin...? I think that's what his name is..anyways it had 154 likes, 12 comments." He stated. He kept going.

"Photo #3, a picture of you and your friends at a ball game," he laughs a little. "That bald friend of yours got hit in the head but caught the ball, he seemed like a funny one, I almost wish I hadn't killed him. 358 likes, 20 comments." He stated.

"Just leave me alone.. I just...I just want to live my life normally again." I began to cry.

Levi looked at me in the corner of his eyes. "Don't you see Eren? Your life will be normal. It'll just be with me. Far away from distractions. Dammit-" he hissed as he looked at the fuel. Not much. He should stop for gas. He pulled a sharp corner to the right and then pressed on the gas to the nearest gas station.

He looked around. It looks like there was one on that steep hill. He sighed and then went up the hill and stopped the car.

Levi

"Eren. Don't you move from this spot. I mean it." I warned him and he didn't respond. I just gave him a warning glare and then shut the door. I saw the little machine and took out my credit card.

Of course I stole a bunch, but I decided to use my own. I paid for the gas and then put the little hose inside the car so it can gain fuel.

"There he is." A female voice said as a car pulled up right in front of them. I narrowed my eyes. That was the same car that followed behind them.

"That's the bastard that has Eren." Mikasa hissed as she glared at the other and hopped out of the car. I instantly recognized her. I kept a spare knife in my back pocket, and also concealed a gun that I had. The shirt was covering it.

It wasn't his gun however, it was Kenny's. He had a lot of them, but he lent this gun to me just in case I ran into trouble. And I did.

Mikasa ran towards be and I quickly took out my knife. She grabbed me by the neck and I quickly tried to swing for her throat. "Armin!" She yelled and Armin quickly hurried out of the car.

When Mikasa threw me to the ground I quickly began to get up and then I was tackled back down again by Armin. He threw a punch at me, and I only glared at him. "Thats for kidnapping my best friend." He hissed.

I grabbed his hair and yanked it, pulling back his head so his neck would be exposed. I whipped out my knife and went for his neck.

His hand grabbed my arm and tried to push the knife away, the blade almost hitting his skin until he headbutts me and then swats the knife away. "You fucking shit-"

"Mikasa hurry!"

"Eren!" She yelled and then Eren looked over at Mikasa with wide and happy eyes. "Mikasa!" He yelled. She quickly rammed her elbow into the window. It turned a little red and peices of glass fell inside the car.

"Come on, I'm getting you out of here! We'll go back home and get you away from him!" She said as she reached inside for the door handle.

I reached with my free hand for my gun, cocked it and then pulled it out quickly, holding it so that it shot in the direction of where Mikasa was.

"AaaaaaaHhhGH!" She screamed as the bullet hit her leg. She fell to the ground and I glared at her. "How do you like that bullet?" I hissed.

"Mikasa!" Armin yelled and quickly knocked the gun of my hands. However, I quickly kicked him off of me and then looked to the car and then back at Armin.

"Mikasa!" Eren yelled with wide eyes as he grabbed a glass shard and then cut at the rope that bound his skin. He cut his own finger a little bit, but it was worth it because he could finally have his hands free. The tight rope snapped and he looked at his red wrists. He hurried out the back door and went to Mikasa.

"Mikasa oh my god!" He yells.

I would've gotten upset that Eren was freed, but I had to take care of them one at a time.

I grabbed the hose that was still spouting gasoline and poured it all over Armin, who spit some out when it got in his mouth. He tried to crawl away from it all. I quickly ran ton the car and reached inside where there was a spare lighter in the glove compartment.

"Reiner!" Mikasa yelled and then he came running out of the truck. He was supposed to keep watch because their car couldn't handle going up hills.

Eren quickly grabbed me from behind and tried to stop me. How bold of him. "Too late." I hissed and tossed the lighter where Armin was.

"ARMIN!" Eren yelled and then suddenly, he went ablaze. All you could see was fire. Someone who was on fire and running around.

All you could hear was his deafening screams. A sickening grin on my face arose as I watched him suffer.

Reiner then ran to Armin and so did Eren. "ARMIN!!" Mikasa screams as she forces herself up and then tries to look around for water anywhere. The sea.

Armin had fallen over the edge of the high hill and then tumbled down. He was still on fire after all of that, until he had fallen into the water. "OH MY GOD ARMIN" Mikasa cried and looked to Reiner. "He can't swim- Reiner do something pleasepleasedosomething!" She yelled.

Reiner quickly slid down the hill as fast as he could. He dove into the water, frantically grabbing and searching for Armin. Mikasa's distress turned to anger as she glared at me.

Eren was screaming and crying as I had managed to grab onto him and then try to force him back in the car. "Shut up. You're getting punished as soon as we leave town" I hissed and then brought my fist down on Eren's head. Again. and again. And again.

I didn't do it too hard to make him bleed, but I should have. I had such a lust and want for blood right now. More. I want more. However, it was too risky. I glanced back at Mikasa and then quickly got in the car. Eren was unconscious. Good. I quickly began to start the car.

All I heard was a thump. Mikasa was on top of the car. "YOU SON OF A BITCH!" She screams as she punches the top of the car, and then continues to hit on it. Her face suddenly pops up on the wind shield as she then hits the glass. It creates a large crack.

Before she could actually break a hole in the windshield, I quickly hit then gas pedal and she went flying off the top of the car. I didn't feel any weight on the car anymore. Good riddance.

Mikasa

I fell on the ground and held the side of my bleeding head. "Eren.." I mumbled and then my eyes widened.

"Armin!" I yelled and then hurriedly limped down the hill. "Oh my god...please be okay.." I mumbled as tears swelled in my eyes. He's the most intelligent and loving person I know.

Reiner resurfaced with Armin and coughed a little bit as he held his chest. "Armin" he said and then leaned in. He began to pump his chest.

"Wh-what is it? What's wrong?!" I yelled.

"He's not breathing." Reiner said and then began to perform CPR. He learned it in an extra-credit class once. Let this be a lesson to you students out there. Never doubt extra-credit.

After a few attempts, Armin wakes up to see Reiner putting his lips on his. He coughs up water and then throws up a little bit afterwards.

He huffs and then holds his head. "D-did we get Eren.." He mumbled.

I was stunned. The first thing he asks about is Eren. "Armin. You almost died." I said and quickly wrapped my arms around him. I sniff and then shake my head. "We lost him. We lost him again." I cried.

"We'll get him back. We were close." He said and then pats my back. Reiners sighed. "I'll bring the car down" he said and hurried off.

"We're getting Eren back and putting that psycho behind bars, no matter what." Mikasa hissed.
