Two hours and loads of yawning later, Mark still couldn't get himself to remember more than just a couple of paragraphs. His earphones didn't work properly anymore and he couldn't use them.
On the other hand, Donghyuck's one seem to work very well, since Mark could perfectly hear those annoying girl group's songs.
At one point, Donghyuck started singing along and it wasn't because he was a little bit off-key, but Mark decided to give up studying and check his notifies.
"Oh, Mark hyung!" he didn't see nor hear the younger coming, but in a blink of an eye Donghyuck was beside him, peeking on the screen of his phone over his shoulder. "Did you finish your homework?"
"No" Mark said.
"You can keep studying tomorrow" Donghyuck suggested with a smile. "I'm so hungry, hyung… It's dinner time already"
Mark frowned, eyes glued to the screen of his mobile phone.
"The fridge is empty, but you can surely find some snacks inside Doyoung hyung's drawer" he told him absently.
A girl from sophomore year got Mark's number from somewhere and just asked him out. This was not uncommon, not to Mark, who plays on the campus' basket ball team and is so, so popular among girls, and he needed to find a kind enough excuse to reject her without ending up being the asshole of the campus again.
"Hyung, who's Chorong? Who's this girl?" Donghyuck asked with a slightly worried tone, looking with a disappointed frown at the other boy's chat.
"Is this your girlfriend? Doyoung hyung told me that you didn't-"
Mark's sudden laugh interrupted his blabbering. "No, never!" he exclaimed, and Donghyuck sighed in relief, he wasn't worried anymore.
"Now, can you please buy me dinner, hyung?"
Mark made a pissed off face and put his phone on the surface of the desk. "I told you to have a look inside Doyoung hyung's drawer!"
"But I want kimbap…" the younger whined, crouching beside the chair and grabbed Mark's thigh annoyingly. "There's a take away or something near here, hyung, come on!"
Mark slapped his hand away and glared at him. "If you are this hungry, why don't you go there yourself?!"
Donghyuck pouted, sat on the ground and folded his arms across his chest, looking up at Mark with sad yet big eyes.
"Because you are the best hyung in the world…"
"Flatteries won't work with me, kiddo" Mark snapped, getting up and sending him a bored look.
"Hyuuuung…" Donghyuck pouted even more, blinked his eyes cutely and tilted his head to the side, swinging his body slowly from right to left.
"Aegyo won't work as well"
Donghyuck bit his lower lip and looked like he could burst into tears at any moment. He sniffed and decided to give it another try.
"Hyung?"
Mark turned around, scoffing, but once he looked at him in the eyes, he froze. He felt his heart racing a little bit and a weird feeling. More like a flickering.
"Fine" Mark finally allowed.
Donghyuck jumped on his feet and within moments, hugged Mark tightly.
"Thank you thank you thank you. Mark hyung is the best!"
"Ugh, I'm not doing this for you. I'm hungry too. Get off of me!"
Donghyuck loosened the embrace and kept smiling, even if his favourite hyung just shouted at him. He took a step back.
"Okay, I want kimbap, then bulgogi and… and… tteokbokki!" Donghyuck jumped a little, again.
"What?!" Mark yelled, weirded out. "Are you pregnant or what?" he shook his head, hurrying himself up and putting his shoes on before Donghyuck adds some other food in his list. He's so thin yet he eats so much.
"Oh no… it's just for today, hyung" Donghyuck said, blush slowly creeping up his cheeks.
"Say it, you hate me. You want me to spend all my money on food" Mark grabbed his wallet and reached the door.
Donghyuck shook his head vigorously.
"No no no, it's that… I don't usually eat much. I have to stay in a good shape, you know. Sometimes I work as a site mode-"
But he couldn't finish his sentence that Mark had already gone out, closing the door shut behind him and starting to walk quickly down the hall.
Frustrated, Donghyuck realized he didn't tell Mark to buy him some strawberry popsicles too. He can't spend a night without them! Without any hesitation, he rushed to stop him, opening the door.
"Mark hyung, Mark hyung!" he shouted, only his fluffy mop of brown hair can be seen since his body was covered by the door.
Mark stopped, his shoulders stiffen and he turned around slowly.
"Buy me some strawberry ice cream too. Pretty please?"
Mark sighed, stuffed his hands inside his jeans pockets and started walking again. Donghyuck took that as a yes and headed back into the room.
He had got a stupid smile plastered on his face. He knew it, that grumpy yet busy hyung has finally started paying him the attention he was craving to get since forever. He couldn't be happier or he better say, satisfied.
He plopped on Mark's bed again and hugged the pillow, breathing its scent. More like Mark's scent.
Donghyuck sighed dreamily, and put his hands on his chest, feeling the heartbeat getting faster and faster.

Three hours later, both of them have their stomaches filled with korean food, especially Donghyuck. They were laying on Mark's bed in front of a sappy Thai movie.
The younger was sobbing on Mark's shoulder, whilst the older stared at his computer's screen not interested at all.
"It-it shouldn't be ending like this" Donghyuck whined, wiping his face. "H-he loved her… they could have been happy but she… she…"
"Come on, it's just a movie, Donghyuck" Mark tried to comfort him, ruffling his hair lovingly.
"But-"
"No buts. I'm going to put this away now, and we're both going to sleep" he yawned widely before grabbed the computer and shutting it off. He got up and put the object on his desk, turning off the only light still on.
Mark turned around and looked at the boy with a raised eyebrow. Donghyuck's face was illuminated by the dim light coming from the street lamps. He was staring back at him with a silly face.
"What are you looking at?"
"N-nothing" Donghyuck lowered his gaze and started playing with the hem of the big t-shirt he borrowed from his cousin's closet.
"For the matter of fact, that's my bed. Get your ass off of it and go to sleep in Doyoung hyung's"
"Sure, hyung. Goodnight" he whispered, obeying.
Mark didn't reply and slipped under his sheets.
