SSS: Time to unleash the magic but, not really
"Zeal club," I repeated. It sounded better out loud that it created a ginormous grin to spread across my face. "That's... AWESOME!!! GREAT IDEA, MAY!!!"
She gave me a nod and a blink in reply from her book.
I squealed.
"It's perfect!" I cried, encouraging my inner spirits. "Zeal is what we need in the Zeal club! Zeal means enthusiasm, passion and fanaticism. Yes! People love things like that, right May? That's what this club's gonna be! A Zeal club! It even rhymes with my name too. You know, Seal? Zeal and Seal! It's like it was made for me—"
I continued mentioning to May about all the things I, as president, could try with the kids here in the school.
That's when I soon realized—
"May! It's almost the end of our break!" I exclaimed. "We better hurry and start writing our ideas before the bell! Now if only we had a pen and paper..." I paused as my eyes quickly scanned across the multipurpose room only to recognized what I needed to do.
"If I use magic, there's a high percentage I can get us that pen and pencil, May!"' I reasoned while nodding to myself in certainty. "It's going to be a long journey so, I better prepare. Dressing into my magic cape would set off a chain reaction thus causing the magic to activate through my mind."
Like a ninja, I swiftly tie my grey sweater's arms around my neck for a cape and began striding towards the built-in cabinets and drawers or as I saw it X-marks-the-spot.
"Ah ha!" I opened the large cabinet at my first reach.
"Empty," I sighed. "No matter! I'll use my x-ray vision to see through each one. It'll be a piece of cake, right May?"
I enclosed my eyes by flipping the brim of my cape over my head and began opening each one, feeling my way around the room as I went.
*CRASH!!
I set my magic on hold and peered from under my magic cape, recognizing it was an abandoned plastic chair or as I saw it a plastic monster that was in the way of my desperate journey!
"You beast! Move aside, I say! We either settle this the easy way or the hard way. Your choice!" I proclaimed, giving the plastic monster my darkest glare.
It laid unspoken.
"I warned ya'," I said, cracking my knuckles. "We should've gone the easy way." And with that, I grabbed the plastic monster in my arms and the battle began.
~14 minutes later...~
I struggled my way as I hoist myself onto my seat, bruises covered half of my cheesy freckles. My forehead smashed onto the table in discomfort and ache.
"So much for unleashing the magic, May," I mumbled. "...And I couldn't even find a pen and paper besides all the blood seeping through places I shouldn't mention out loud..."
That's when I felt something light and flimsy placed on top of my head while the other rolled on the table against my hair.
I sighed. "Of course, you had one the entire time, didn't you, May?"
She blinked.
