We are a family of Mobsters?

Catherina POV

It took me a little bit to get use to the idea of living in a mansion. I was nervous about meeting my father's family. It turns out that I had every right to be nervous. As soon as his family members started arriving, I was met with scrutiny.

I smiled when I saw one of the girls who arrived seemed to be just a little bit older than me. Maybe we could become good friends "My name's Catrina what's yours?" I asked holing out my hand toward her.

"Mother says that you and your mother are white trash. That Your mother is a gold digging wh*re."

"Everyone knows that she got knocked up with you while working in a brothal. Your nothing but a mistake. You'll never truly be my Uncle's daughter and he will never love you as much as he loves me. If I were you, I wouldn't even bother unpacking."

"Eventually my Uncle will come to his senses and when he does he will send you and your filthy mother back to the gutters from whence you came."

"Why don't you do us all a favor, go throw yourself off the balcony. It's not like anyone would ever miss you." The girl sneered the hatred in her eyes clearly evident.

Upon hearing this, I clung to snowflake determined not to give the girl the satisfaction of knowing just how much her words hurt me. "Why you little thief! That's my teddy bear give it here!"

"On second thought, I don't want it anymore. who knows what kind of diseases and parasites it could be carrying now that white trash like yourself has touched it. Look at it, you've ruined it. It's practically falling apart." With that, the girl ripped a few of Snowflakes seams.

"Opps, did I accidentally rip it? I guess it truly is trash now. If you want it you can go dumpster diving for it. I'm sure that's something that white trash like yourself is use to doing." With that she threw Snowflake into a nearby dumpster.

At this, I found myself lunging at the girl and hitting her over and over again until I found myself being pulled off of her. "Let go of me!"

"Sorry kid that's not going to happen. Just who do you think you are anyway?."

"She started it."

"First of all, Vanessa is as sweet and innocent as they come. Secondly, I don't care if she did start it. A girl of your status, has no right to lay a hand on anyone, let alone a member of the boss's family. Especially, not his favorite niece. I think I'll take you to boss and let him decided your fate."

"What's going on here?"

"I caught this girl attacking your niece without provocation. Considering that she attacked a member of your family, I thought it best if I brought her straight to you. She had the audacity to claim that your daughter started the fight."

"I see. Is this true Vanessa? Did you start the fight?"

"No daddy. We were just talking and all of a sudden she started hitting me for no reason."

"Young lady you owe my daughter  an apology!"

"But I didn't..."

"I don't want to hear it! Apologize to my Princess this instant!" The man demanded the anger in his eyes evident. The girl smirked at me.

"I'm waiting." Vanessa said with a smirk.

"Go to hell!" I snarled at her shoving past her.

I looked around as I heard everyone gasp in shock. They were all staring at me as if I had two heads. I tried to leave but the man grabbed my arm roughly. "You're not going anywhere girl!"

Daniel POV

As I was walking past one of the tables, I couldn't help but overhead the conversation that the two young girls were having. I was overjoyed now I had two nieces to dote upon.

I bet the two of them were going to be the best of friends. I smiled as I watched Catrina reach out her hand and offering her a handshake. I was shocked by what happened next.

"Eww. Don't touch me you disgusting little guttersnipe. I don't want to risk getting any of your filthy diseases. Mother says that you and your mother are white trash."

"That Your mother is a gold digging wh*re. Everyone knows that she got knocked up with you while working in a brothal. Your nothing but a mistake."

"You'll never truly be my Uncle's daughter and he will never love you as much as he loves me. If I were you, I wouldn't even bother unpacking. Eventually my Uncle will come to his senses."

"When he does he will send you and your filthy mother back to the gutters from whence you came. So why don't you do us all a favor, go throw yourself off the balcony. It's not like anyone would ever miss you."

"Why you little thief! That's my teddy bear give it here! You know what, on second thought, I don't want it anymore. Who knows what kind of diseases and parasites it could be carrying now that white trash like yourself has touched it. Besides, it's far too old, I mean, look at it, it's falling apart at the seams." She said as she ripped at the seams on Snowflake's arms and legs.

"Opps, did I accidentally rip it? I guess it truly is trash now. If you want it you can go dumpster diving for it. I'm sure that's something that white trash like yourself is use to doing."

Vanessa said with a laugh tossing the bear into the nearby dumpste. I half expected Catrina to burst into tears, but to my shock I saw fire flashing in her eyes and she let out a deep growl. Vanessa had just made a big mistake and I think she was about to find out just how much of a mistake she had made.

At this, Catrina, snapped and she lunges herself at Vanessa and began pummeling her. It took several people to pull her off her. Catrina struggled in the arms of the staff member who held her. "Let go off me!"

"Not going to happen! I'm taking you to the boss. Kid or not, No one attacks a member of the boss's family without suffering the consequences. Are you alright little miss?" Another staff member asked helping Vanessa up from the ground. I sighed. Something told me that this was not going to go well.

"What is going on out here?" My eldest brother demanded.

"We caught this child openly attacking your daughter without provocation. Considering the circumstances we thought you would want to deal with this issue yourself. After all, it was your daughter that she attacked." One of the staff replied shoving Catrina forward.

"Thank you. You may go. Now, which one of you girls would like to tell me what happened?

"It's just as the staff member said Daddy, she attacked me for no reason at all."

"I don't know who you think you think you are but you owe my daughter an apology."

"I'm waiting." Vanessa said with a smirk. I half expected Catrina to break down and submit to giving Vanessa an apology even though she didn't deserve one.

"Go to hell!" Catrina snarled and I mentally gave her a high five. She turns to leave but my brother grabbed her arm quite roughly.

"You're not going anywhere girl. Not until you apologize to my daughter."

"Sorry but I'm not sorry." The next thing I knew there was a loud slap and Catrina fell to the ground. He raised his hand to backslap her once more but I grabbed it and held it firm.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you."

"This doesn't concern you brother."

"You don't know who this young girl is do you?" I asked my eldest brother in somewhat amusement.

"Just some servant girl who's forgotten her place. She needs to be taught a lesson she won't soon forget!" He goes to hit Catrina once more and she whimpers and tears begin falling down her cheeks.

"Stop with the crocodile tears they will get you nowhere. You will be taught your place girl." My brother states and I shake my head in disappointment.

"Why are you protecting that servant girl? I'd have thought you'd be joining me in punishing her insolence."

"Normally yes, but under these circumstances no.  Vanessa isn't exactly being entirely truthful about what happened. I'm afraid I must bring her before the Don."

"Ah, Daniel, I know why you're here.
The staff informed me that they saw a servant girl  attack Vanessa without provocation. After demanding an apology the servant continued to be disrespectful refusing to apologize. Our brother dealt with the servant girl appropriately."

"The staff were unaware of all the facts. First of all, it wasn't a servant girl. The situation concerns your daughter. She didn't attack Vanessa without provocation. Isn't that right Vanessa?"

"I don't know what you are talking about. We were just talking and all of a sudden she started hitting me for no reason."

"Vanessa, that's not the truth and You know it!."

"But Uncle."

"Don't call me that, not right now. I'm very disappointed in you Vanessa. From now on, until told otherwise , you don't speak to me to unless spoken too. And when you do, you will refer to me as Sir and you will refer to my brother as the Don. Is that clear?"

"But...But Uncle."

I let out a growl of irritation and the color drained from Vanessa's face. Vanessa looked up at her father as  her lower lip trembling and she looked as if she was about to burst into tears.

However, I was indignant with her behavior and attitude towards Catrina and I had no intention of allowing her to get away with it. As her father had so nicely worded it She has to learn her actions have consequences.

"You are being far to harsh on her Daniel. She is, after all, just a child. Come here Vanessa, come and sit on my lap." Vanessa smirked at me as rushed past and climbed into Antonio's lap. "Now Nessa, I want you to tell me what it is that you have done to make Daniel so angry with you."

"I don't know." Vanessa replies with a pout.

"Why don't you start by explaining this?" I demanded tossing the ripped teddy bear onto to the table in front of my brother.

"It's an old teddy bear, it's ripping at the seems and I am getting far too old for stuffed animals so I threw it out."

"That's another lie and you know it!" I hissed at her and she whimpered and shrank back into Antonio's arms.

Antonio glances down at Vanessa and then back at me. "Explain."

"Are you sure you want me too? Once I'm done telling you what actually happened tonight you won't be so forgiving towards the child." I replied not willing to call her by name.

"Now I'm really intrigued."

"You might want to get down from his lap Vanessa, because once I tell him the truth, he is going to be furious with you, and I know that I don't need to tell you what happens to people who make the Don angry."

At this, Vanessa's eyes went wide with fear and she lets out a whimper as she hops down from
his lap and hides behind me. I let out a slight chuckle. "Oh no, no, no, you don't get hide behind me. I'm going to give you one more chance. Your certain that you don't want to tell him the truth behind why his Princess hit you?"

"I just teased her a little." Vanessa said her reply barely audible.

"I'm sorry, you need to speak up. I couldn't hear you."

Vanessa glared angrily at me "I said I was just teasing her a little. It's not my fault she can't handle it. As for the bear, like I said, it's old and worn out so I threw it away." She replies with a slight shrug.

"First of all, that isn't your teddy bear. It belongs to Catrina and I watched you deliberately rip it and then throw it into the dumpster. Secondly, You call what you said to the Princess teasing? Sweetheart, there's a very big difference between teasing and the names that you called the Boss's Princess."

"Oh?" Antonio replies leaning forward in his chair slightly.

"Vanessa has been disrespectful towards Your Princess from the moment that she arrived. Feeling that it was not only appropriate, but that it was acceptable to call the Princess derogatory terms such as white trash and a gutter snipe."

"Is this true?" Antonio asked the disappointment in his voice evident. Vanessa didn't reply instead she glanced down at the floor and shifted nervously. "Vanessa, I want you to come stand in front of me." Antonio said to her in an eerily calm tone.

At this, Vanessa hid behind me. Peeking her head out from behind me she whimpered and shook her head no. I chuckled in amusement. "Come now, you can't possibly be afraid of your Uncle. I told you, I'm not going to let you hide behind me. Now go on. It's time to own up to your actions."

"Please don't make me." She begged glancing up at me pleadingly her whole body beginning to tremble in fear. I simply chuckled in response and pushed her forward.

Antonio sighed in irritation. "Now, I want you tell me exactly what you said to My daughter. Word for word."

"I'm afraid too." Vanessa replies the fear in her voice clearly evident.

"If you've done nothing wrong, then you've no reason to be afraid. Out of curiosity, why are you afraid to answer the question?" Antonio replies his eyes sparkling in amusement and his tone remaining eerily calm.

Vanessa whimpered "I'm afraid that if I tell you the truth then you won't love me anymore."

At this, Antonio's gaze softened slightly. "That's not true Vanessa. There is nothing that you can do to make us stop loving you. We may be disappointed with you for a time, but we will always love you. Now tell me, what did you say to Catrina?"Again Vanessa did not reply instead she bit her lower lip.

"Vanessa you know I don't like having to repeat myself." Antonio says sternly.

Venessa refused to meet either mine or Antonio's gaze and I could tell that she was clearly ashamed of whatever it was that she had said to Catrina. So I took it upon myself to inform him of the extent of their conversation.

"Please tell me that Daniel didn't hear your conversation correctly. Tell me that you didn't call my daughter derogatory names. Tell me that you didn't rip her favorite stuffed animal to shreds and throw it into the trash and then tell her to go dumpster diving for it?"

Upon hearing the disappointment in Antonio's voice Vanessa's eyes filled with tears. "I'm sorry Uncle Tony. I was only repeating what I heard the adults saying. I didn't mean any harm."

"There's more." I whispered to Antonio who sighs.

"What else?"

"She told Catrina that everyone's lives would be better off if she threw herself off the balcony."

Antonio sighed and closed his eyes and I could tell that he was trying not to become angry with Vanessa. When Antonio opened his eyes again his gaze was cold and so was his tone.

I knew Vanessa was in big trouble. "Vanessa, what you have done was not only wrong, but it was an act of treason. I should kill you right now." He said pulling out his gun and pointing at her.

"Woah Antonio, calm down, you said yourself, she's only a child."

"That's no excuse. She's old enough to have know better." However, to Vanessa's relief Antonio put away his gun. "Jealousy my dear Vanessa, can be deadly. I am not only extremely disappointed in your actions, I'm afraid that I have no choice but to punish you for them. From this moment on, you are stripped of your title of being the Don's niece. You are no longer considered to be a part of this family."

"You are nothing but a spoiled brat and you will be treated as such. Consider yourself lucky that I'm in a good mood and that I do love you as much as I do."

"Now get out of my sight before I change my mind! Oh and Vanessa, if I ever hear that you've disrespected my Queen or My Princess like that again, regardless if your age, I won't hesitate to kill you."

Vanessa father POV

I watched as Vanessa ran out of Antonio's office sobbing and I frowned. Why was she crying? I sighed.  I supposed I had better go see what happened. "Vanessa, sweetheart, what's wrong?" I asked sitting down beside her.

"I don't want to talk about it."

"As you wish." I turned to leave only for Vanessa to grab ahold of my arm.

"Please don't go." She whimpered placing her head on my chest and sobbing.

"Tell me what's bothering you."

"Uncle... I mean, Don Bendito, said that He no longer considers me his niece and that I am no longer a part of the family. He said that if I make him angry again he won't hesitate to kill me."

I frowned as family we were never requires to refer to Daniel and Antonio by their mafia given titles. Especially not Vanessa. She was always allowed to call them both Uncle.

She must have done something really bad to have made my brother strip her of the title of the Don's niece/ little princess. I sighed. "Vanessa, what did you do?"

"I got into a fight with the new Princess of the family." Vanessa replies her voice filled with both distain and jealousy sneering the word Princess.

"You don't mean the servant girl I punished earlier do you?" Vanessa nods and I sigh. "Oh no. He's going to kill me." I groan. As despite Daniel's warnings I had continued to punish the girl after he had left.

I sighed. "You deliberately lied to me so that I would punish the girl."

"Yeah so? She deserves to be punished. Someone of her social status should be reminded of their place." Vanessa replies angrily.

"What exactly do you mean by that?"

"She's white trash."

At this, I let out a low growl of irritation. "Please tell me you didn't call the Mafia Princess white trash to her face."

Vanessa shrugged indignantly. "That's what she is was so that's what I called her. I may have said some other cruel things as well."

Again I groaned. "Such as?"

"Everyone's lives would be better if she would throw herself off the balcony. That she is a mistake that should have never been born."

"Vanessa, you've really done it this time." I reply running my hands through my hair.

"I don't understand why he's so angry with me. I only told the truth. She should never have been born. Her and her mother are white trash compared to us. She's always been a gutter snipe and she will always be a gutter snipe."

"Vanessa Lilith Bendito that is enough! I am very disappointed in you! I raised you to be better then this. Where is this racism coming from? I don't even recognize you right now."

"My little princess would never say such cruel and disrespectful things to anyone, let alone a member of her family. Your grounded until further notice."

"Why is everyone making such a big deal out of this? I was only repeating what I heard Auntie Geraldine, Grandma and Mommy saying to each other."

I let out an irritated growl. "Vanessa, just because you hear an adult say something doesn't mean that you should repeat it. Based on your attitude I don't think you understand the severity of the consequences of your punishment. You are no longer under the Don's protection."

"If you say or do anything to anger another member of the family, or anyone else for that matter, they won't hesitate to kill you. And if they do, there will be no retaliation because as of right now, your not a member of the family. You need to make this right. Go speak with Daniel. See if he can get Antonio to change his mind."

"He won't. He stood there and didn't say a word when Uncle Tony, I mean, Don Bendito cast his judgement on me."

"Then you are truly in a lot of trouble."

"I know. I know that only Uncle Dan, I mean Sir Bendito can convince the Don to reverse this decision."

"Well, that's not exactly true. There is someone else who could help change his mind."

"Who? Grammy or grandpa? Auntie Geraldine?"

"No."

"Can you change his mind daddy?"

"No. And even if I could, I wouldn't. In this case, the Don's judgement is not only fair, it is extremely lenient. If it anyone else had done and said what you did today, they'd have been killed on the spot."

"Consider yourself lucky. There is only one person who can help you now, and I highly doubt they'd be willing too. I mean, would you, if your in her place?"

"Oh no. You don't mean???" Vanessa replies with a groan.

"Yes. The only one who could possibly change his mind, is his daughter. You know as well as I do, that in this world, it's an eye for eye. If this is who you choose to be, a racist who has no remorse for her actions or words, then you are no daughter of mine."

"Perhaps you should consider the choice that you have made. Ask yourself, was it truly worth it? Loosing the respect and love of your family all because of jealousy?"

"Daddy wait!"

"Vanessa, due to the Don's punishment, I can not allow you to call me that. Just as you lost your status as the Don's niece, You must also loose your status as my daughter.  I am sorry, Vanessa but you brought this on yourself."

Vanessa POV

I sat there in stunned silence. My daddy had disowned me and called me a monster. What had I done? I had lost the love of my family and why? All because I was jealous.

"First of all, let's get something straight, You are not jealous of that white trash. Your her superior in every way! Yet, she has everyone wrapped around her finger. That girl has got to go and I know just how we can rid of her." A voice hissed in my ear.

"Don't listen to him Vanessa. He's just trying to confuse you. We both know that the things you said today were wrong. Believe me, We don't want to go down this path. Once we start down it, forever will it dominate our destiny."

"Oh give me a break!" The voice scoffed. "You would have that white trash steal the love of our family?" The voice demanded of the other.

"Now, now, there is no need for such disrespectful language. In the sight of God all men and women are created equal. It is the evil of this world that has created stereotypes. We must not give in to hatred. You know what you must do. Apologize before it's too late..."

"You don't need to apologize. You have done absolutely nothing wrong." The voice hissed.

"Shut up! I am done listening to you. It was listening to you, that got us into this mess in the first place!"

"Suit yourself. That white trash has already turned everyone you love against you. Don't come crying to me when she takes your dignity too." The voice said with a sneer.

Daniel POV

"Sir."

"What?"

"I'm sorry for what I said and did today. Please forgive me. Please give me another chance... Please let me call you Uncle again... I'll do whatever is requires to have things go back to the way they were before. I'll apologize to Catrina, I'll beg her forgiveness on my hands and knees if I have too.. I'll do anything. Please Sir..."

"While I do forgive you, I can not change your punishment from the Don. Nor call I allow me to call me Uncle. Tell me, Vanessa, is your desire to apologize because you are truly sorry for behavior? Or is it because you think that if you apologize, then the Don might change his mind about your punishment?"

At this, Vanessa looked down in shame. "My punishment is too much for me to bear. I've lost yours and my father's and the Don's love and protection. Had I known this was the price I'd pay, I'd have never agreed to do it. Please Sir, you have to believe me." Vanessa pleaded tearfully.

"Alright, I'll help you. I want you to understand something, Catrina is the Don's biological daughter and he loves her very much.. I can assure you, that he never saw her as a mistake. The only reason that she wasn't raised alongside you is because he didn't know about her birth. You need to learn to show her the proper fear and respect that she deserves."

"I.... I didn't know..." Vanessa said tearfully and this time I knew that the tears were real.

"Vanessa, I know that this punishment may seem unfair, but what you did today was an act of treason and we had to be harsh. If we let you get away with your behavior, then people would start to loose all respect for the Don. Do you even understand why what you said is considered treason?"

"No."

"You called the Don's heir very derogatory terms. Not only that, but you hurt their already fragile relationship. Your behavior showed a complete lack of respect for him and he can't allow anyone to get away with that, not even family."

"Uncle Dan?"

"Vanessa, what did I tell you downstairs? Right now, You don't have the privilege of calling me that."

"I'm sorry Sir." Vanessa replies tearfully.

"Vanessa, do you understand why what you called Catrina was so bad?"

"No."

"Vanessa, calling someone gutter trash is extremely derogatory term. Do you know what the word derogatory means?"

"No."

"To use derogatory words means saying words that put others down and make them feel ashamed of themselves. It shows a complete lack of respect for that person. When you say that Catrina is gutter trash, you're saying that she's the lowest of the low."

"You were saying that she lives like she's trash and that she is incapable or has no desire to improve her life. I also overheard you calling her mother a whore. Do you know what it means to call someone a whore?"

"Mommy says that it's a disgusting woman who sells her body for money."

"When you called Catrina's mother a whore and a gutter trash that's in essence what you were saying her mother is, now do you understand why what you said was so bad?"

"Yes."

"I don't want to ever catch you using derogatory terms like white trash, gutter trash, gutter snipe or whore ever again, ok?"

"Yes Sir. Sir?"

"Yes?"

"I didn't want to say all those mean thing to Catrina. I only did it because my mother I mean Lady Bendito ordered me too I didn't want too but she threatened to punish me if I didn't do as I was told."

"She said that if I didn't do it, then I'd be making some very powerful members of our.. I mean, some very powerful members the Don's family, very angry. She said that these people would hurt our family and they wouldn't be punished for it. I really am sorry."

"I believe you. Come, let's go talk with your cousin."

"She's not going to want to see me. And even if by some miracle she lets me in her room, she's not going to believe me." Vanessa said tearfully.

"You never know if you don't try."

Catrina POV

I can't stop the tears from falling as I grab my things throwing them into my suitcase. Eventually, after grabbing everything that I felt I needed I finally allowed myself to break down into sobs. I was just about to leave when I heard a knock on my door. Shoving my suitcase under my bed I called out. "Who is it?"

"It's Uncle Dan."

"Come in." I reply. As the door opened, I quickly wiped away the tears from my eyes and placed a smile on my face. I didn't want to let them know how I was truly feeling.

"Hay, Catrina."

"Hi Uncle Dan."

"I have someone hear with me who'd like to talk to you, if you don't mind." With that he stepped aside to reveal the girl who had said all those cruel things to me downstairs. She peeked her head out from behind Uncle Dan and gave me a hopeful smile.

"What's she doing here? What more could you possibly have to say to me?" I demanded bitterly.

"I'm sorry." The girl whispered.

"Yeah right, sure you are." I replied sarcastically rolling my eyes in disbelief.

The girl looked up at Uncle Dan and tears began to roll down her cheeks. "I told you she wouldn't believe me."

I instantly felt a pang of guilt rush through me. "Don't listen to her. She doesn't mean it. She just trying to trick you." A voice hissed in my ear.

While another voice replies "nonsense. Maybe she had a reason for what she said that we don't know about..."

"Sure whatever. Trust me she's a spoiled, selfish, jealous little brat. Don't believe a word she has to say. She's not truly sorry for what she said, she's just apologizing because she just doesn't want Uncle Dan to be mad at her anymore." The voice hissed and I couldn't help but feel as if part of what they were saying was true.

"Tell me something, are you apologizing because your truly sorry for what you said or is it because Uncle Dan said that you had too?"

"Catrina, that's not being fair. Vanessa chose to come here apologize of her own accord. Now, I'm not saying that you have to forgive her, or even believe her, but at least listen to what she has to say."

"Your right. I am being unfair and judgmental. I will listen to what you have to say. I won't guarantee that I'll believe you or forgive you, but I will at least hear you out. I owe you that much."

"Actually, you don't owe me anything. And truthfully, your not being unfair. You were right, originally my reasons for apologizing to you were selfish and I had no intention of truly apologizing."

"However, the more that I thought about what I said to you, and how you reacted the more I realized that what my mother and the other women were saying about you was not true."

"I never should have listened to them. I'm truly sorry for what I said to you downstairs. And if it helps, I didn't mean any of it. The truth is, that when I found out about you, I couldn't wait to meet you."

"I wanted to be your best friend but my mother threatened to disown me if I even tried to befriend you. The truth is, my mother doesn't feel that either you or your mother are worthy to be members of the family."

At this, my Uncle cleated his throat and gave the girl a warning look. "I never wanted to hurt your feelings and I'm truly sorry. I don't expect you to believe me and I won't ask for your forgiveness. I don't deserve it and I'll never forgive myself for the cruel things that I said to you. I should go."

"The way you talk about the family it almost sound as if we are members of a gang or mafia like in that movie The Godfather."

Uncle Dan clears his throat and rubs the back of his head nervously and I frown at him. "You said family means the world to you."

"It does."

"Then how can you treat your own niece like this?"

"It's complicated. And believe me, it breaks my heart that I have to do this but I have no choice. This is the consequence for her actions."

"Just who does this Don think that he is? What gives him the right to order anyone to disown a member of their family? Whoever this Don is he needs to be taken down a peg. I don't care if it is a death sentence to challenge his authority what he is doing is wrong."

"It's been a long day and you need your rest. We can discuss this later." With that, I turned off the light and led Vanessa out of the room. As I closed the door I turned to Vanessa and sighed. "You know that this changes nothing. Catrina does not understand how our world works, but I know that you do. I can not disobey the Don. Nor can I change his mind."

Vanessa sighs. "I know. My dad said that maybe Catrina could get him to change his mind. Why didn't you tell her that her father is the Don?"

"You saw how angry she was with his decision concerning your punishment. I can only imagine, how she would have reacted knowing that her own father chose your punishment. We have told her too much already."

"The Don hadn't wanted her to know that we are a mafia family. That is something that he never wanted her to discover. I'm afraid that we've opened a can of worms that can never be closed again. I don't even want to think about what is going to happen if she chooses to confront him."
