"i dont think ill be going anywhere"

"(Y/N)? ARE YOU okay?" Peter's voice rung through the phone.

"Yeh, Pete. Do you have any electricity?"

"No, why?"

"Because all mine just went out." She ran to the big window in her kitchen and saw no lights on in the city. A gasp escaped (Y/N) lips, a hand flying upwards to cover it.

"(Y/N)? What is it?" Peter worried.

"Pete," her hand moved from her mouth. "Look out your window right now or come over here. I don't care if it's not 8. Get. Here. Now"

"Okay, I'm coming over. Stay where you are"

"I don't think I'll be going anywhere" she breathed and hung up. Her feet stayed planted in place. She heard her door swing open and close immediately after. Peter's arm was wrapped around her waist as she heard a gasped escape Peter's lips.

"Oh, my god. What on earth?" He mumbled from behind his palm. (Y/N) moved in front of Peter, resting her back against his chest. His arms wrapped around the front of her body and rested on her shoulders. Her hands grabbed onto his forearms. Peter's head rested on the top of hers.

"What's gonna happen, Pete? There's people who need electricity to stay alive"

"Then we have to get it back on"

"How?"

"Spidey can help" he smirked to himself, releasing (Y/N) from his grip. She turned around and looked over Peter's face. He was serious.

"Pete, you can't give an entire city back its electricity"

"Watch me" he ran to her door and stormed to his own, leaving (Y/N)'s door open.

"Peter Benjamin Parker, don't you dare leave!" She refused to let him leave. After he didn't appear from his door, she knew he'd gone. She ran back into her apartment, grabbed her phone and Peter's oversized blue Midtown school sweater. She threw it on, locked her door and ran down the stairs into the dark streets.

When (Y/N) left the building, she couldn't see anything. She turned on her phone and let her flashlight light up the street around her. As she lifted it up, she saw many others doing the same, helping people get to places. Her feet began to take her into the centre of the city. She skipped the subway and almost ran towards the massive groups of people down the street.

Blue and red flashing lights filled her vision. She turned her phone light off and ran towards the police cars, all gathered in a somewhat circle. Her eyes gazed over the cars and spotted a masked blue and red figure. Her (Y/E/C) eyes widened as she sprinted to Spider-Man's side.

"Spider-Man," she breathlessly said, "I'm so glad I found you"

"One second, please" he grabbed her wrist and pulled her away from the officer and into a nearby alleyway.

"Pete, I can't believe you ran off like that"

"What are you doing here? You can't be here!"

"I was looking for you!"

"You're gonna get hurt, I can't lose you! Please just go"

"Not without you, Pete" she stepped closer to him, their chests touching.

"You're stubborn"

"I know" he pulled up his mask while she said this, letting his lips meet her own.

"Nice hoodie"

"Thanks. Come on, Spidey. We got a city to save" she pulled down his mask and let him fix it back under his suit. They ran out of the alleyway back to the police. Peter suddenly raised his hand into the air, directing his wrist towards a tall building and pressing his fingers down on his web slinger.

"Keep her safe sir!" Peter called over his shoulder at the officer.

"Pe-" her hand flew to her mouth. She breathed in and out, trying to cover the fact she almost revealed Spider-Man's identity.

"Hey, it's OK, ma'am. We've got everything under control. Mr Spider-Man will be OK, and so will everyone else" the officer Peter talked to placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. (Y/N) moved her hand away from her face and turned around to face him.

"Thank you, sir" she smiled as he mirrored her face. She set off down the street, stopping every so often to help people.

It had been three hours since Peter had left (Y/N). There were no texts or calls. She expected that. He was busy trying to save the city again, and she wanted to do all she could. She continued to walk around the streets to help innocent people. Cries were heard from children, parents were desperate to keep their children safe and warm.

(Y/N) walked into an empty café. She sat down for the first time in hours. A loud sigh escaped her lips as she leaned back on her chair and slide further down it. A loud cry startled her and made her eyes shoot open. She stood up and ran out the open doors.

The building next to her was full of mothers: empty handed mothers. They were reaching out for their children. Screaming and struggling, the children reached for their mothers. (Y/N) ran into the building, sneaking through the crowd of mothers and found where the children were. She banged on the door, scaring the children inside.

She rattled the door handle. Having no luck, she began kicking the door. Her foot repeatedly hit the door in multiple places. Suddenly the door burst through, revealing the children behind the door. They ran out and found their mothers just as the electricity turned back on.

She heard people yelling and cheering. She saw people hugging and shaking hands. She wished Peter was with her. Her phone rung as a small tear fell onto her cheek.

"Hello?"

"(Y/N), it's me"

"Pete. Are you okay? Did you get the power on?"

"Yeh, hurry to the apartment. I want you" she could hear the smirk on his lips.

"Okay. I'll be right there"

"I'll see you soon"

"I'll see you soon" she repeated, hanging up on him, smiling. She ran out of the building and down the street. She turned corner after corner, speeding up after each turn. When she finally arrived at the building, she was breathless. Her back bent and her hands rested upon her knees. She quickly stood up straight and inhaled deeply.

She heard a whoosh from above her and turned in time to see blue and red flash past her. Her arms wrapped around Peter's neck as his right arm wrapped around her waist. Holding her tightly, he flew upwards to the roof. He dropped her down gently before removing his mask and pulling her close.

(Y/N)'s breathing was ragged as she looked in Peter's beautiful brown eyes. He looked back into hers and smiled widely.

"You did it, Pete" she whispered into his ear after gaining her breathe back.

"We did it"

"I did nothin-"

"You helped on the ground. If it weren't for you, many people would be cold and hungry. I'm so proud of you"

"And I'm proud of you, too" she rested her forehead against his. A smile was plastered on Peter's face before he leaned forward and caught (Y/N)'s lips with his own. He turned his head slightly, making the kiss deepen quickly.

(Y/N)'s lips parted slightly, allowing Peter to slowly slip his tongue into her mouth. A moan escaped her mouth, causing Peter to mentally smile for his action.

"God, I love you" he pulled away breathlessly for only a second, pulling her back in.

"I love you, too" she pushed him away only to pull him back. Their lips danced under the stars as the couple fell in love with each other all over again.
