Chapter 67- Your Day

Chapter 67

Leave Neverland? I mean he couldn't be serious.

I remember the times when he would always joke that he wanted to be buried there. I scolded him not to joke about death, but it showed how much he loved the place.

But, much to my surprise, he was definitely serious.

So serious, that we've been living in London, England for the past two months.

Yes. We packed up and left Neverland. Hell, we left the whole continent and jetted across the Atlantic to Great Britain.

All his fans were in shock, the ones in the states, about his big decision to leave. His fans in England, of course were overjoyed that he chose their country as his new place of residence.

I tried to talk him out of it.

"Is staying here jeopardizing your safety and the baby's?"

Of course, the answer was clearly a yes.

He just nodded curtly and the conversation was over.

I've been leaning against the balcony of our new home, overlooking beautiful London for some time now.

I'm eight months along and it's been quite the journey.

"Soon you'll be able to see this beautiful city with me," I whisper to my child.

"And me." I jump, hearing the familiar voice behind me yet still startled.

"Shouldn't you be in bed sweetheart? It's two in the morning." He whispers in my ear while wrapping his arms around me from behind.

I shrug slightly. "I needed to think." I close my eyes and breathe as I feel Michael's hands rub my stomach.

I bet I look like I'm about to burst.

He kisses my shoulder tenderly. "I love you."

"You too." I laugh silently.

Silence passes between us before I speak up. "You were in the studio all day."

"Mhm," he agrees. "Frank worked me hard today. It was writing day but he knows I can't force it. The lyrics just flow."

I nod and hold the railing of the balcony. He has told me before that he gives credit to God for his songs.

"You alright?" He asks.

"Fine," I reply, "it's just my back hurts. I can't wait till he or she gets outta here."

He chuckles. "I bet they're eager to see the world."

I turn my body around to face him, relieved to see that sparkle in his eye.

"Do you miss Neverland?" I question before I can stop myself.

He gives me a look. "Alondra..."

"No, really. Do you miss it?"

He's quiet for some moments. "Very much."

I open my mouth but then shut it when he speaks.

"We're not going back."

"You just said you miss it. And I know you love it."

"But I love you more. I gave it up for you."

I look down and fiddle with my fingers. He plants a passionate kiss on my lips.

"Come to bed." He says.

I nod, allowing him to pull me inside from the calming night air.

--

Late morning, I open my eyes. I tousle my hair to one side, squinting because of the sun coming through the blinds.

I sigh and stare up at the ceiling, hearing the water running in the bathroom.

I lift my hand up lazily to admire my ring.

"He must have spent a fortune on this," I breathe, staring at it and all its glamour.

"I love him."

The water shut off and Michael walks into the bedroom fully dressed.

"Good morning beautiful." He smiles and leans in to kiss me but I stop him and cover my mouth with my hand.

"What's wrong? No kiss?" He frowns and I shake my head, inching away from him.

"Morning breath."

He only laughs and walks around the other side of the bed to me, giving me a long and deep kiss.

"I don't care, my love."

I blush and he laughs. "I'll be in the studio alright?"

"Okay. I'm gonna take a shower."

As Michael walks out of the door, he smiles to himself, knowing well that he won't be in the studio.

Knowing Alondra will forgive him, he hurries out of the door and into the limo that awaits him.

--

I emerge from the bedroom and decide to go check on Michael. When I don't see him there, I frown.

"Baby where are you?"

No answer.

He must've gone somewhere.

I call him but he doesn't answer and I start getting slightly worried.

"Calm down Lon, he's okay."

I convince myself and start finding little things to keep myself busy.

The next hour, the doorbell rings.

"Hey girl, it's Janet." She knocks on the door.

I rush to open it. "Janet? What the hell are you doing in London?"

"Wow, it's great seeing you too Alondra," she says sarcastically.

"No, I didn't mean it like that..." I pull her into a hug as she laughs.

"I get it, you just didn't expect to see me here."

"Yeah, what are you doing here?"

She smirks and folds her arms. "Grab your purse and a pair of shoes. We're on a mission. This is your day."

--

The rest of the morning and well into the afternoon, Janet has me blindfolded and apparently tampering with my hair, clothing and makeup.

"Girl, what are you doing? I'm pretty sure my butt's numb because I've been sitting here for hours."

"Almost done, I promise." She says. "LaToya! Let Jackie and the guys know she's on her way!"

"Wait? It isn't just you? The other Jacksons are here?"

She ignores my cluelessness. "Done! Let's get you in the limo."

"Where?"

"You'll see. Leave the blindfold on."

I sigh, exasperated, as I grab her hand and she walks me there so I won't bump into anything.

"We're ready James." Janet says.

The limo starts to move and she taps my shoulder. "Sit up straight babe. You don't want to mess up your hair."

I roll my eyes under the blindfold and after some time the limo stops.

"Are you excited?"

"I don't really know." I reply.

"If you knew, you would be."

We get out of the limo and pavement turns into carpet. I can hear footsteps behind and in front of me and faint voices.

Janet removes the blindfold. I quickly look around to access where I am.

I see the lace in front of my eyes and look down to see my body adjourned in a white dress.

I gasp.

"I'm-"

She winks. "Now go marry my brother."

"Wait! Janet?"

She makes her way to the front of the chapel with the other bridesmaids and then the doors open.

All eyes are on me.
