Chapter 64

Just as we entered the forest, the man from earlier walked towards us; he greeted Charlie. "My queen. There you are. I've been searching everywhere for you. Have those oafs attempted to harm you with their blasphemous metalworks?" he asked. I had my hand on my sword, ready to kick his ass, when Charlie placed a hand on my arm. "They're with me. That's my new handmaiden." Charlie pointed to Dean, and I giggled quietly. "And my bodyguard," she pointed to me, and I placed my hand over the grip of my sword. "We seek an audience with the Shadow King," Charlie said. I nodded. "Uh, these hills are not safe. I pray you, my queen, you should return to camp." I walked in front of Charlie. "Why? You have something to hide?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. "Im just concerned for the queen's safety," he replied. "Well, she has me, so bring us to the shadow king," I demanded. "Hang on, Kaylee."

Dean frowned, his eyebrows together before moving Charlie and me away from Boltar. I stayed close to my brother and Charlie while Dean and Charlie quietly talked, and I listened with one ear. "All right, look. You take my phone. Find Sam. We'll find the shadow dorks." Dean told her. "But I can help." Charlie pleaded. "Dean, let her help; don't be a touch," I grumbled behind her. "Yes, she will be finding Sam," Dean told me. "Im not going to let her go alone. I'll go with Charlie."

Dean was okay with that, so we parted ways. Dean went with Boltar, and Charlie and I went toward the Queens Camp. Charlie and I didn't talk much since it wasn't safe with whatever was lurking around in this forest, although I had my gun, knife, and sword with me. Charlie turned around when a twig snapped nearby, making me freeze and turn to where the noise came from. "You heard that, right?" I whispered to Charlie, who nodded. All of a sudden, something ran into me, throwing me to the ground and landing on my shoulder; before I could do anything else, something hit me, hitting me unconscious. I woke up on the tent floor when I saw Charlie sitting on the bed close to me with a woman making out. "Ouch." I held my shoulder, which hurt like hell. "Kaylee, are you okay?" Charlie asked, kneeling next to me. "My shoulder hurts," I mumbled. "I am so sorry," the woman Charlie made out with said next to her on the floor. "What the hell?" I asked, grumpy and in a lot of pain. "I apologize. It was not my fault. My master said to hurt you," the other woman said. "Listen, im sure Gilda can't do anything about it, Kaylee," Charlie said. "Oh yeah, well, screw whoever did this," I grumbled. I lay back down on the floor as good as possible with my shoulder. "Hey, Kaylee, you need something?" Charlie asked, worried. "Yeah, Dean, he can put my shoulder back," I mumbled, wincing at every movement. Suddenly, Dean, Sam, and Boltar entered the tent; Dean immediately approached me. "Hey, Sis, what happened?" he asked. "Dislocated shoulder," I said, wincing. Suddenly, Boltar revealed himself to be behind all of this. "Well, Dipshit, you're not her type." I hissed, getting up with Charlie's help. Boltar mentioned tracking down an actual book of spells and getting Gilda into this. "She is an innocent little fairy; you got her into this." I snapped. "How did you get it?" Sam asked with a hand on my arm. "eBay." I scoffed. "Yeah, alright, you're a loser," I grumbled. Boltar ordered Gilda to give him a sword, which she had to comply with. I couldn't do much when he tried to attack us, but I got the spell book, which I threw to Charlie. "Hey, Gerry," Charlie called, and the fight stopped. "I'm the one who saves damsels in distress around here," she said, stabbing the book. Boltar tried to stop her, but it was too late; Charlie destroyed the book. Dean knocked him out. When I saw Charlie and Gilda happy with a last kiss, Gilda disappeared, taking Gerry with her. After getting our regular clothes on and with some help from Charlie, Dean fixed my shoulder, which eased my pain, although it would take months to heal. "Great, again, not being able to work is just perfect," I mumbled, taking a sip from Dean's flask. "I know you wanna work; just take it easy, okay?" Dean placed my arm close to my body when Sam made a sling around my arm with some fabric. Suddenly, Sam and Dean ran back to the camp while Charlie and I waited for them at the field where the enemy army was standing. "Where the hell are-." I looked behind me when I heard footsteps walking towards us. "You guys are crazy." I tried hard not to laugh when Sam, Dean, and Charlie approached me while I waited for them. All three were dressed in battle armor and had a wooden sword with a shield. While shaking my head, they walked past me, and from where I was standing, I watched my brothers and Charlie charge into battle. The end of the day was a mess for Sam and Dean while I waited for them; in the end, Charlie's army won, and Sam and Dean were sweaty and gross. "Ew, yuk." I cringed my nose. "Oh, shush." Dean was panting from running. "Nice speech, brother." I smiled while walking next to them back to the camp. A few days later, Dean put his boots on, and Sam stood before me while I was on the floor writing my journal. Then, all of a sudden, the door of the wardrobe opened, and a man fell out. He got up when I fell on my back from his sudden appearance.
