Chapter 55

I lowered my head. "Im sorry to hear that. So what's the end game, steal our resources, make us some enslaved people?" Charlie asked. Dean told her what he was planning, and she agreed to dig into the Server. We couldn't get into Dick Romans's emails since they were on a private server, so we had to get into the Office meant Charlie had to head back to the Lions Dent.We drove to the Office, and while Charlie went inside, Sam, Dean, and I stayed outside in a black Van. I was in charge of watching the cameras we had hacked into. We had the Camera prerecorded in a loop, thanks to Charlie, giving Charlie 15 minutes to finish the job. "How is it going?" Dean asked as he entered the van. "Super since she set it all up," I answered, showing him Charlie's Laptop with the Loop, which was playing. "I can put each Camera in the prerecorded Loop, and once I do that, she has 15 minutes. "It's not a lot of time," Dean said, looking over my shoulder while I tapped around the cameras. "No, but if she needs more time, she deserves to be eaten, but I won't let that happen." I shook my head. "I like her." Dean smiled. "Yeah, me too." Sam and I said at the same time when I found Charlie standing outside the building. "What is she doing?" I quietly asked. "Better check that." Dean pointed to her bag, where a flask appeared in the side pocket. "Look at her bag." Dean pointed to the bag. Sam and I zoomed in when I felt Dean standing close to me. "Bobby. Wait, you think he?" Sam asked, but couldn't ask. "Hitching a ride?" I asked, knowing that Bobby could get around with the flask with us. "What the hell is he thinking?" Dean asked. "So what do we do? Call the whole thing off?" Sam asked. I shook my head. "Hell no, we have one shot at this," I answered before Dean could say anything. I popped on my headset, which I was connecting to Charlie. She was still standing very nervously in front of the building, singing. While watching the cameras, I heard Dean talking to Charlie; after a swing from the flask, I entered the conversation. "Charlie, it's Kaylee. Don't get scared. Listen. You can do this, okay, im right here. I can see you through the cams." I told her. "Im not a spy," she was shaking her head. I saw it through the cams. "Charlie, hey, it's Sam," Sam said. When I looked, I saw Sam with the phone in her hand. Sam calmly talked to her, and she was finally tough enough to go inside. "You can do this, Charlie," I whispered. "You're saying it so easily," Charlie said in my ear. I saw her entering the elevator, but she left on Level 4. That was, for me, the sign to press the button for the Loop to start, hoping that Charlie was okay. "Im in. I've always wanted to say that." Charlie's voice was a relief. "You only have 15 minutes, so move," I told her while checking the cameras. I waited for her to tell me she was in the Office, but then a shock message came through. "Hey, there's a big-ass guard up here blocking the door. What do I do?" Charlie asked with panic in her voice. "Just wait him out," Dean suggested. "He's not going anywhere," Charlie said after a few minutes. Dean asked a few simple questions and gave Charlie some tips on how she could get past him. "Listen, Dean is way better at this, but just listen to it." I tried to help, but only got a slap on the back of my head from Sam. "Ow, what the hell?" I hissed at Sam, covering my mic. "Thanks, but he's not my type," Charlie said during Sam and Is exchange. "You gonna play through that?" Dean took over while Sam and I listened. "As in, he's not a girl," Charlie whispered. Sam and I looked at each other, but quickly returned to the phone. "Pretend he has boobs," I suggested. Dean asked if Charlie had any Tattoos to show off, and she told us about her Princess Leia Tattoo. "It was Comic Con, and I was drunk," she apologizes. "Hey, we've been all there," I said. Sam and Dean nodded. "Im gonna walk you through it." Dean grabbed the phone, and Sam and I listened while Charlie tried to get past the Guard. When Sam started laughing, I smacked him on the shoulder. "Quit laughing, Sam." I hissed. I heard how awkwardly Charlie tried to flirt with Bill, the Security Guard. "You're doing great, Charlie." I told her, but she didn't answer. I heard Charlie let out a deep sigh when she walked away from the Guard. "I feel dirty," Charlie whispered. "You and me both, sister." Dean said, while I just tried to laugh, but couldn't. "You did well. What's your ETA?" I asked. "Im at the door. The eagle is landing, going radio silent." Charlie said. "Rodger that." I said, and Charlie's side went silent. That was the last thing we heard from Charlie. We dreaded the waiting time since we couldn't do anything from here. "So we just wait?" Sam asked. "Yeah," Dean mumbled. What else can we do?" I grumbled. "No." Dean snarked. I gave him a stern look while I turned back to my laptop, next to Charlie's, playing solitaire while waiting. "Seriously?" Dean asked. I shrugged. "If you have a better Idea," I mumbled when Dean sat beside me, watching the security cameras and Sam filling Borax into jars.
