NAINA'S POV

Fuck! Did I hug him like this!!

Okay! I don't know what happened to me but it felt and I did!

And as soon as his arms wrapped around me, I felt my heart beating up and down.

I looked at him breaking the hug.

"This was...unusual"He said

"Happy birthday" I mumbled giving him the sunflowers!

"You're giving your best friend flowers?" He asked 

"Is it written somewhere that flowers can't be gifted to best friend" I asked and he looked at me.

"Why do you look tired. And wait, your...lips are getting bluish Naina " he asked concerned

"I'm hungry like hell and I'm cold...I...want food" I mumbled feeling like I can cry anytime.

"Come" he said and held my hand while I don't know why the rains here are so unusually!

For God's sake it's december!

"So what you'll have?" Arjun asked sliding the menu card at me and I shivered!

"Naina! " Arjun whispered 

"It was a fucking bad idea" he muttered under his breath and I looked at him.

"Arjun.." I whispered 

"Naina" his voice came but a little faint.

"You look blur" I whispered and next I know was black dots formed in front of me and I zoned out.

Next I know was....I heard someone tapping on my cheeks.

As I opened my eyes, I saw a blurry Arjun.

"Hey, you okay?" He asked and I nodded.

"I want to go home" I whispered 

"We need doctor" He said 

"I'm fine! I'll let you know a medicine or two." I sighed and he held me carefully making me stand.

"Your birthday cake" I mumbled and he glared me .

Trust me, this is the first time, I've seen him glaring me bad.

"Pl..please" I mumbled and he sighed when I gestured the staff to give us the pre ordered cake.

Very gently and carefully, Arjun took me till car.

Is he the same Arjun, who always meet me while hitting on back of the head .

He opened the door of passenger side & made me sit while he took driver seat.

"Where are we going?" I asked 

"Pent house" He told and I looked at him a bit shocked.

"You trust me ?" he asked 

"Of course I do" I replied and he nodded.

"Remove your over coat " he said and I looked at him again.

"Naina! You're cold! Please remove that?" he again said and I did same.

"Sweater too " he added and I removed that too and for the whole time Arjun looked straight!

He stopped by at a medical and took the medicine, I told!

"When we'll reach?" I asked 

"In five minutes" He replied and I nodded but before I could speak anything, My stomach churned real bad and I gestured Arjun to stop car.

He did the same on side and as I opened the door, I threw my guts out!

Can I get more embarrassing situation God!!

As I did that, I felt a pair of eyes lingering at me with concern!

He passed me a bottle of water and I gargled and then leaned back closing the door and both my eyes!

"We need to go to hospital " He said

"Home, please" I whispered because I had no energy at all.

"In five minutes" He mumbled

And as Arjun said, in five minutes, we were in lift which again suffocated me, but a hand held my hand so softly that I couldn't think of anything else!

Arjun opened the door and turned on the lights when I looked around.

"Fucking rich" I muttered and he glared me for mocking at him in this state but then he gently put his one hand around my shoulder and I shivered more.

Of course due to cold!

Yeah only cold right?

Yes! Just cold!!

And before I could've said anything more, I again felt everything revolving but before I could fall down, I was caught by two strong arms.

"Got you" He whispered in my ear and picked me up.

"Arj.." I was about to say when he spoke.

"Sush! Let me" he mumbled as he took me to a room and made me lay on bed.

"I'm..my clothes..your bed will ge.. " I was saying when he looked at me.

"As if I care about the damn bed right now Naina" he said and I looked away.

As he adjusted the heater in the room and I heard the bell.

He went and came back with a parcel.

"Momos?" He asked and honestly tears brimmed in my eyes.

"When did you last eat?" he asked as he unwrapped the packet and made me eat one.

"Morning breakfast" I lied 

"Fucking lier!" He cursed and I pouted as he fed me.

After I burped a little , he smiled and I looked down but in another second I shivered as his palm went to my forehead and then at cheek while my eyes closed automatically with the touch.

What the fuck is wrong with me!

"Damn it Naina! You're burning. Get rid of the clothes" He said 

"Excuse me" I snapped with the tiniest energy.

He didn't say anything and went inside his walk in and came back with a T shirt & a hoodie and well his shorts !

"Am, I don't have anything else here " He muttered handing me them and helped me to go till bathroom.

"I..don't have other essentials" I mumbled looking everywhere.

"That's why I've given you my T shirt & hoodie Naina. My hoodie...will reach your thighs and amm, My shorts are way too loose &  long for you I know , I mean, You can slip into comforters after that" He explained and I nodded.

"I'm outside. Don't lock the door" he added and I again nodded .

As I came out of the wet clothes, I wore his shorts and slipped into his T shirt and hoodie that reached my thighs and I instantly felt warm.

"Arjun" I called 

"Yes what happened ?" He asked from outside

"Can..Can you close your eyes!" I mumbled 

"Come outside. I need to take you back to bed. " He said and I sighed as I knew he was right since I was already feeling heavy!

I came outside and as I looked at Arjun, I already saw him looking at me.

For some seconds no one us broke the eye contact but then he looked away muttering something under his breath and held me again taking me to bed but before I could sit, my stomach churned bad and I knew,I'll throw again hence I ran back to washroom's basin throwing my guts out again!

Why I didn't eat anything since morning!

Amazing!

 This was all so painful that tears came out of my eyes but suddenly I felt someone pulling back  my wet hairs away from mouth and rubbing my back simultaneously .

He looked at me with concerned eyes and I sighed.

"I need Mumma"I cried this time loudly.

"Sush! We'll take the first flight tomorrow" He said and I looked at myself in Mirror.

"I look like a fucking clown in these" I muttered and he smiled a bit.

"See,you too are smiling. One who doesn't even smile is smiling " I whined as more tears came out of my eyes and he made me wash my face.

"Where are the damped clothes?" he asked and I pointed the laundry basket.

"I'll put them in washing machine" he said and was going when I stopped him.

"No you can't" I kind of yelled

"Why?" he asked 

"Am..They...It's all clothes in there. I mean...Just understand" I said and he looked at me.

"You're blushing" He all of a sudden said and I looked away.

"I'm embarrassed" I whispered 

"No need to. I'll directly throw them inside machine. Won't see your.... 'Just understand' " He smirked and I blushed harder.

"Shut up dog" I mumbled as he smirked and did what he said.

"I'll, take them out of dryer " I said 

"Naina! It's okay. I will" he told but I denied totally and he sighed yet nodded.

"Out!" I muttered and he nodded going when I put the damped clothes on rack for drying and came out.

Arjun took me back to bed but then he noticed something.

"Did you...just" he was saying when I nodded.

I removed his shorts as they were kind of uncomfortable hence I sat on the bed resting myself with head board and Arjun covered me with comforters.

He gave me the medicines which I gulped and then looked at Arjun.

"Bring your cake"I said 

"It isn't necessary Naina" he told when I glared him now.

He stood up and came with box while I ordered some more food online.

 As he opened the box of his cake he looked at it.

"Don't worry, it's sugar free" I mocked

Arjun doesn't eat sweets much! It's very rare! Exception - Ras malai

I put the candles and he blew them.

"Don't sing. Your voice is already weak " He warned and I grinned weakly singing the birthday song and he cut the cake and fed me a little.

I too made him eat a little and then as the bell rang he went and came back with food and cutlery.

"I've haven't ever seen you working this much for me" I mocked and he glared me as he took out food in one plate.

"I'm sorry Arjun" I mumbled 

"For what?" he asked

"I...ruined your birthday..kind of" I mumbled 

"You made my day! Totally...other then of course getting ill. But if you won't have fallen ill, I'm sure, you won't be here. So you see, rather then just three hours with me, you're here for whole night" he told 

"You'll take the couch" I smirked.

"I'm not from those cliche you read! I'm your fucking best friend! And your best friend have more rooms in this pent house" he mocked and I huffed.

"Where's my bag?" I asked 

"Outside in living room" He replied

"Get that naa" I said

" Whatever your gift is. Tomorrow" he replied

"Please, pretty please" I whined and he looked at me yet sighed and bought the bag.

I opened the zipper of the bag and pulled out a box.

"Happy Birthday" I whispered handing him that and a small smile was there on his lips.

He looked at me and then unwrapped the gift and looked at me.

"Your favorite picture of mine" he said and I smiled

"Tilt it a little right" I told and he did the same and then looked at me surprised

"Daadi " he whispered and I smiled 

"Now tilt it left" I said and he did same as he looked me.

"Us" he whispered again and I smiled.

"Tilt it down" I asked and he did same 

"My brothers" he said and I nodded 

"Up" I told and he did and he looked at me.

"Amazing! My whole family" He whispered and I smiled.

"You once said right, there's nothing more important for you in this world then your family. So here it is. Inside you..your heart Arjun! Forever! " I said and he looked at me.

"Can I hug you?" he asked and I chuckled nodding.

He shifted a little more near me and wrapped his arms around me.

God! Don't make me feel this electric feeling. He's just my best friend!!!! It'll be wrong to feel ! Don't make me!

"Thankyou Shortcake" he whispered in my hairs and I hummed.

After that we had our food though I didn't have that much energy to even eat and then he took plate and after giving me a glass of water , he looked at me.

"Wanna sleep ?" he asked 

"Wanna talk!" I replied and looked at him while he understood what I wanted to talk about.

"Later" He said 

"Now! Express Arjun" I told and he sighed

"I feel, Ananya is cheating" he said 

"You...saw something" I asked 

"Hickey! I mean..We of course, haven't done anything ." he said looking here and there.

"And when I made sure, I'm very suspicious. She said, we'll talk once you come back" He added

"Do you have feelings for her Arjun,like real feelings. Attachment is different. Do you..love her?" I asked 

"I don't love Naina! How many times I've to remind you that" He kind of snapped and when I looked at him he sighed muttering a small sorry.

"I prefer honesty over anything! If she's with someone else, all she needed was to say it. Clean & clear" He said

"You see, life in some years keep throwing such people in my life that make me believe more that, There's nothing in which you could commit a thing. Nothing worth giving heart or that kind of bullshit. Everyone with you is there for selfish reasons of their own" he angrily added 

"Everyone includes me too Arjun" I whispered and he looked at me

"No! You're not in everyone! As I've always said, you're my family. You're the exception of my life.  " he instantly said and I looked at him kind of surprised but he looked at me as if he meant that.

"We'll sort it out and if she's cheating, I'll kick her ass" I said and he looked at me.

"That's it? I thought you'll say I'll murder her" He mocked 

"I would've . If you were in a serious relationship even with your fiancee " I mocked back

"Ouch! Woman! You hurt my feelings" He dramatically said and I giggled

"Ouch man! I hurt your damn ego" I mocked and he looked at me.

"Your voice is sore now" He concerned

"I'll..take medicine" I said when he denied and dialled someone.

"Hey birthday boy" It was Nishant bhaiya's voice

"I'm a man" Arjun replied 

"So, why did you call?" He asked 

"Where's daadi?" Arjun asked over video call.

"Daadi! Arjun wants to talk" Nishant bhaiya's voice came again and then I heard a female voice.

"Duggu !" The voice said and I looked at Arjun shocked as my smile become wide.

"Shit! Daadi, okay two things. First Don't call me that!" Arjun said 

"What Duggu ?" his daadi asked and a chuckle left my mouth.

"Duggu you're with someone?" his daadi asked and I put hand on my mouth supressing the laughter.

"Daadi, don't call me that" Arjun again said 

"What, Duggu ?" Daadi again asked and I couldn't control anymore as I laughed.

"Naina shut up" Arjun snapped 

"Duggu " I grinned

"Arjun" It was Nishant bhaiya's voice and I looked at him shocked.

"Who is Naina?" Daadi asked.

I looked at Arjun who in turn looked at me while I shut my eyes tightly!!

Shit!!
