NAINA'S POV

I've never, ever had such a wholesome and beautiful day.

It was Arjun's birthday but I felt as if I was celebrating more then anyone else.

I was engaged! Engaged to Arjun Singhania, my best friend.

I know we've still not told our families and they might react a bit over everything but I know, we both will overcome everything.

Till I've Arjun by my side, I'll over come anything life throws at my way.

Nainaa" He called and I wore my top and I looked at him raising my brow.

"I...Comb your hairs" He told

"Oh yeah. I'll just tie them up now. I can't keep them open now " I said and hence turned to mirror while taking my hairs up for tying it in a pony when I saw some... What the fucking hell.

"Arjun Singhaaaniaa" I screamed turning to look at him.

"I didn't do it" He lied at my face and I glared me.

"I'll fucking kill you. Who else was here who would've done it" I yelled

"I...I just.. Kissed you" He frowned

"I don't know. I'm sure you.. Ugh. It's a mark" I whined

"It's called love bite sweet heart" He smirked when I threw, well water bottle kept on side at him which he dodged when I hit him on his shoulders.

"Ow woman. Stop. Okay I'm sorry. It's.. Wrong place" He accepted

"I've to go home Arjun. I can't go with this showing right on my neck. Clearly visible" I complained

" Hey yeah . Concealer. " He suggested

"I don't roam around with concealer" I said

"Are you even a girl" He asked when I glared him.

"I'm not like those girls who keep whole makeup kit inside their bag. I don't fucking carry a hand bag normally" I snapped

"Okay okay. Calm down. Let's do one thing. We'll go to any shop, buy you a concealer and you apply it" He suggested again and I sighed.

"Call Aditi" I said

"What, why? " He asked

"Just call. Tell her the location and tell her to bring concealer" I said and he nodded doing the same while I sat on the couch seeing the... Well ughhh!!

"Stop giving it that look. That's something which tell people that you're mine" He smirked more behind and I looked at him from mirror.

"Is my skin too sensitive" I questioned

"Mhm. Honestly, it is. Like you" He said and I smiled.

"This. That's a perfect gift na" He added

"Oh my God. Shit. I forgot" I abruptly stood up looking at him.

"What" He asked confused

"Your gift" I replied

"You planned whole day Naina. You.. Well proposed. There's nothing more I want from you other then you yourself. It's fully enough" He expressed and I looked at him.

"I know. But a gift is a must" I said and fidgeting my bag, I took out a box and he opened it.

It had two hand bands.

"What's it" He asked curiously and I smiled

"I thought golden might look odd on you that's why, I've had made it in steel color" I said handing him his and he looked at it.

He didn't speak for a minute looking keenly at it.

"I still ain't able to understand it totally but why is it illuminating a bit" He asked

I smiled taking it from him and joined the both bands and he looked at me.

"This is why you're leading the creative industry" He said and I chuckled.

"My band has A engraved with half the sign of infinity and similarly your band has another half sign of infinity , following initial of your name which is N.  And when both are kept touching each other, it makes A ∞ N " He added and I nodded smiling.

"And this illumination" He asked

" If these two bands are in 500 meters radius then these bands lighten up. Like right now. And when it's more then 500 meters it'll stop illuminating" I told

"Wow. And your face tells there's something more" He asked

"Am.. If.. Everything goes, I mean, when we talk to our families about us, and they agree, we'll of course have an official engagement, that day, we'll exchange these. You'll get this N engraved and I'll have that A engraved" I spoke and he looked at me for second and then made me wear my band.

"You're, fabulous you know" He said kissing my forehead and I giggled

"I know." I boasted and he slapped my head lightly.

I too made him wear that and looked at him.

"Dare you remove it. I'll sue you" I warned and he raised a brow.

Before any one of us could speak, there was a knock on the door and Arjun opened it.

"Well well, trouble in paradise" Aditi mocked and I glared her which Mitesh chuckled.

"My Goodness. Tell me you did the deeds" She added and I threw another water bottle at her

"Ow idiot. I'm here to help and you're aiming me" She said

"Just, remove it" I told and the two men looked at each other and a chuckle left their mouth.

"Did you just born yesterday. No wait. You read dark romance and you saying me to remove it. Shame on you" She mocked and the both morons again chuckled when I glared them.

"Conceal it" I muttered and she smirked dabbing some concealer on my neck but stopped abruptly looking at me.

"Wait a second.. " She said as she looked at my neck.

"Oh my God. You both got engaged" She shrieked happily and I looked at her smiling.

"Just get married you both" She whined and we all chuckled while Aditi concealed the mark.

"We good to go now" I asked and she nodded.

"Well since we've come till here, we'll have our dinner here only" Mitesh said and Aditi grinned nodding.

"Am.. We'll leave now. It's really late" I told

"Okay. You both take care. And Naina... " Aditi spoke while I looked at her

"Start keeping concealer now. I won't be coming everytime" She smirked and I threw another pillow on her where as she ran out of the room yelling a bye followed by Mitesh.

Arjun took a deep breath and looked at me.

"Your skin is hell lot sensitive" He muttered and I hummed hugging him.

"Naina, what happened" He asked putting his hand on my head.

"Nothing. Just don't wanna let go off you" I mumbled and he sighed hugging me tightly back

"Come let's go" He said kissing my forehead and I nodded as we came out .

"I'll do with the formalities now. You walk  towards parking" Arjun added as we came downstairs and I nodded.

As told, I came to the parking area and the valet went to bring my car when a car stopped near me and someone stepped out.

But as soon as the face met me, my blood boiled.

The whole day was such an amazing, amazing day but it didn't have to end with me seeing this face.

"Naina, what a pleasent surprise" He said as he saw me.

"Mr. Arora" I muttered

"When did we come on surname basis Naina" he chuckled

"I talk to my clients that way only" I said and he smirked

"I ain't a client I guess" He replied stepping one more inch near me while I stepped back.

"Yes you're" I instantly replied when he looked at me but then spoke

"You had plans with your boyfriend right." He asked

"None of your concerns" I snapped

"Of course it's not. But who so ever he's doesn't value time. Look, making such a beautiful lady wait" He said looking at me.

"You don't even know about his punctuality so don't you dare comment on it" I warned and he chuckled

"Protecting the mistakes now, are we" He asked

"Excuse me" I snapped

"Come on Naina. You're far better then this. Honestly, when I saw you yesterday, I was so suprised but so happy" He said and I looked at him.

"Remember, the high school" He added

"Just stop talking Sahil" I said irritated

"See. There we are. From surname to name again" He smirked and I gritted my teeth walking towards my car.

"You're just Arj.. Mr. Singhania's cilent that's why I'm tolerating you. Otherwise, I don't even wanna see your shit face ever" I said and turned to go when he grabbed my hand turning me.

"Sahil" I screamed when he looked at me.

"I've been talking. Stop being a kid and speak in between" He snapped when I glared him.

"Don't you dare talk to me that way and leave my hand" I warned when he looked at his hand which had grabbed mine and smirked.

"Still fits perfect huh" He smirked when another hand came on my hand and very swiftly pulled it away.

"Still such a bastard huh" The voice said and I looked to find Arjun when unknowingly I sighed in relief.

"Arjun" He spoke

"Mr. Singhania it is for you" Arjun spoke shooting daggers at him.

"Sit in your car Naina, I'll see you there" He said and I looked at him a bit shocked.

"Can't let him shit around more." He added

"I won't go without you" I muttered and he sighed

"What the actual fuck" That bastard spoke when nothing happened... Other then Arjun's punch on.. Well his face.

"Arjunn" I shrieked

"You, don't hold a woman's hand, without her permission making her feel uncomfortable" Arjun said while that bastard glared Arjun.

"How the fuck you dared to punch me" He yelled and raised his hand to punch Arjun before which, another punch landed on him.

"Arjunn stopp" I tried to pull him away.

"First time, I was quiet just because of her. But Next time, you try to look at Naina with these dirty eyes, I'll pull them out from your sockets. And don't make me remind you, who I am. " Arjun warned and I gulped looking at him.

"Arjun, let go " I mumbled when he glared me.

"Very clear to me what's going on." That bastard said when Arjun looked at him.

"I'm glad that it is clear.And clear your head too. Because one more time, you come in her way, you'll find me standing ahead. This time it was just a reminder. Next time, you'll not even get a chance to walk out" Arjun raged

"Arj.. Arjun please, let's just go." I mumbled and holding his hand turned when Sahil again spoke.

"Go ahead with her. But one never forgets their first love" He said and I stopped mid tracks.

"This fucking bas... "  Arjun was saying turning when I stopped him.

"Please no. I want to go home" I whispered when he looked at me and his dark eyes softened a bit.

"Get in the car. I'm driving " He said and I nodded.

Fresh tears were ready to ooze out of my eyes when he opened the driver's side door and sat inside.

He said nothing else then to buckle up my seat belt.

And my home was near.

"Arjun.. " I whispered now not being able to control the years and he looked at me.

"You're not going to shed a single tear because of him" He warned angrily and I gulped.

He looked scary.

And I don't know why, my eyes just did exactly opposite of what told.

Tears started flowing from my eyes and Arjun stopped the car.

"Naina.. " He sighed when I looked away.

"I'm sorry but I'm a human. When something hurts, tears flow" I cried and he removed his seatbelt and mine too.

"Cry as much you want but not because of him. He's not worthy of your single tear" He said

"Everything was going good Arjun. For the whole day. I was so happy to make this special for you. But this one made and the whole day ruined" I sobbed

"Who said? " He asked and I looked at him with my teary eyes.

"Tell me. Who said this? Me? " He again demanded and I denied my head in no.

"Then why again thinking things in your head. Naina, this birthday was the best birthday of my life till now. And I'm not going to give powers to a shitty stranger to ruin it for us" He said

"But he got to k.. " I was saying when he again spoke.

"It's good. Because now he won't even look at you. And if he does try to harm you a bit, he'll see who Arjun Singhania is" Arjun raged

"I don't wanna ruin it for you. It'll affect your deal" I whispered

"Stop thinking so much Naina. And just remember, I'm not ruining the end of this day and it's memories forever giving rights to that bastard. Now if depends on you that do you want to give him what he wanted? Ruin our moments? Ruin it for us? " He asked and I denied when he shifted a little closer and hugged me.

And I found all my calmness in those two arms.

"Then don't let it get ruined. Drop me home since you picked me up and drive safe to home back " He said and I nodded as he wiped my tears and at the same time his band touched mine.

And it glowed.

Well, for the first time to get these activated, they had to be kept in touch for more then a minute and I guess since we wore them, it's now that our bands were touching each other for. More then a minute.

"Looks like, we got approval" He whispered near my face as his nose touched mine and in no time, I kissed him.

He wrapped his one arm around my neck pulling me closer while his one hand was still holding my another hand.

"If there's anything in this world, I want more then everything is.. You. Thanks a tonne baby. For someone who doesn't celebrate birthdays, you made this day be cherished forever. I love You" He professed kissing my forehead and I smiled.

"Pleasure's all mine sir" I smirked and he chuckled

"That's like my Girl" He patted and I giggled he drove to home and after unwillingly, letting him go, I drove to home.

Things get little nasty at times, but one thing I realized today really well was,
Even if anything happens, I won't find myself alone in this sea of life.

I guess, that is why we call one such person as "My Constant "!!!

I'm so sorry for such a late update but this month and upcoming month I'll not be very continuous bcz I've three weddings to attend at home😅
