The Beach

"Come on, Deku! Keep up!" I called, turning around, so I was jogging backwards. Deku was a few feet behind me, panting as he tried to keep up.

"W-why... are we... doing... this, again?" He said, gasping as he pulled at his sweat drenched shirt.

I slowed to a stop, letting him catch up. I was breathing pretty hard myself,

"I... told you. If you're going to make it into the hero course, you have to be better then everyone else."

"B-but, I can't be a h-hero. I-i'll just g-get in e-everyone's w-way." He said, trying to catch his breath,

I sighed, tired of hearing this shit.

"That's the whole fucking reason we're doing this shit." I said, trying to keep my voice level. "So you won't get in everyone's fucking way."

I took a deep breath, and gently let it out. For a brainiac nerd, he can be a dumbass sometimes.

"I-i'm sorry, K-kacchan."

I glanced over at him, he was looking at the ground. I didn't like the look in his eyes, it looked too much like the one he wore the day he jumped. I grabbed his shoulder, and pulled him into a hug.

"Just fucking trust me. Please." I mumbled, resting my chin on the top of his head. Deku nodded, slipping his arms around my chest. I could feel his tears soaking through my sweaty tank top.

After a few minutes, I pulled away,

"Good?"

Deku looked up at me, and smiled shakily,

"G-good."

"Good."

He laughed slightly, making me smile. Damn, he's a ray of fucking sunshine, and I can't help but smile when he's around.

I cleared my throat, and turned away, walking in the direction we had been going.

Deku hurried after me, walking slightly behind me. I looked back at him, he was looking away from me, but when he thought I wasn't looking, he would glance at my hand, before looking away again, blushing slightly. After the fifth time, I sighed in annoyance, reached back, and grabbed his hand, pulling him up next to me. I slipped my fingers between his, and subconsciously rubbed the back of his hand with my thumb. My face felt strangely flushed, and I avoided Deku's eyes.

After awhile I noticed what looked like a scrap yard, then I noticed a sign that said, 'Dagobah Municipal beach park'.

I paused, staring at the sign, then at the large field of junk, then at Deku, who was looking at me curiously.

A smile began to spread across my face, as an idea began to form in my head.

"What's up, Kacchan?" Deku asked, his eyes bright and innocent.

"I just found the perfect workout for you." I said, jabbing my thumb at the sign.

Deku read it, then looked at the mounds of junk behind it, then at me, tilting his head slightly, an adorably confused frown pulling at his eyebrows.

I laughed and pulled him towards the beach,

"Come on, I'll show you."
