you can't save garbage.
[ a.n/ this is so bad lmao ]
Blinded by paranoia, the feeling of everyone's cold eyes fixated on his pathetic frame - was enough to break him piece by piece.
Kazemaru was very sure that he couldn't be put back together the way he was before.
The shining, bright track star had been burnt in flames. All of those who were once his friends, had disappeared. The junior who admired him, the captain that constantly reached out a hand, the girl who brought him nothing but comfort.
Vanished.
Kenzaki said that the only way to get them back, was the aliea meteorite. At first, Kazemaru thought it was nothing but bullshit. This stupid piece of shit stone is what caused all of this in the first place. . . Right?
Of course he didn't want to believe that it was his own fault. He didn't want to believe he was just as pathetic and worthless as the mirror said he was. The locks of teal hair that fell over his right eye was the epitome of his existence. Why should anyone have to be forced to see his face?
He didn't want her to see his face.
If he could wipe himself off the face of the planet and start again, he would do things so much differently. Maybe he's be able to live a life where he didn't have to bear the hurt of having lost her.
"The meteorite will give you that, and so much more."
Ah, fuck it.
What did he have to lose?
His beautiful amber hues burning with briny tasting tears, he took the necklace.
"Take my corpse, shred it apart, do whatever you want with it. I've no use for it anymore."
This stone hardly made it's bearers the royalty that they sought out to be. In fact, the Dark Emperors were nothing but puppets. Children used for the good of sick adults, but even though they were fed only lies, they still took it. Lies were all they could hold on to - they had nothing else after all.
Recognition, comfort, there were so many meaningless things that they mentally cried out for when challenging Raimon.
Why did the look on Endou's face make him feel nothing.
Why did he feel nothing when Park grabbed his wrist and asked him to stop.
Screaming out that I want to be saved, but you can't save garbage.
"Isn't this what you wanted, Endou? You wanted me to become stronger." His voice hurt terribly, "now I'm strong enough to put you in the fucking dirt!"
The brunette's response was a mere cough as he wordlessly attempted to get back on his feet. The entire time was rendered useless, all by Kazemaru's once warm and welcoming hand.
It's finally over. Nothing matters anymore.
All these cold eyes in the crowd fixated on his pathetic frame, all these eyes that said they hated him.
Just as he thought the match was over, everyone started chanting.
"Raimon. Raimon. Raimon. . ."
Over, and over, and over, and over. . .
Kazemaru grit his teeth, refusing to lash out.
Raimon?
Raimon?
He was once a part of Raimon too. He was once apart of that team that watched him leave in shambles. It hurt.
"Shut up. Shut up!"
Unexpectedly, those words didn't come from Kazemaru's mouth. His breath hitched, his heart dropped. Slowly, the teal haired male looked over his shoulder.
Despite being covered in scratches and dirt, she still brought herself to stand up. Panting heavily, Park's head stayed lowered. Even still, he could see the little droplets falling beside her sneakers.
He wanted to tell her to stay down, so he didn't have to hurt her any more, but he couldn't find his voice. Choked up with tears himself.
"What is wrong with all of you!?" Park never really raised her voice at anyone before, did she. . . "That's Raimon too! That team is made up of half of us, who are you even cheering for!? Why do you want us to beat our friends!?"
The ball was at his feet, yet he couldn't bring himself to kick it.
"I give up, I'm not fighting anymore." The white haired girl suddenly collapsed - but Kazemaru knew he didn't have the right to go over and help her.
All of this was his fault.
