beneath the surface.
Again, he hadn't said anything during dinner time with his parents. The tealette silently ate half of his dinner, drank some water, and left after saying thank you. They'd always ask why he started eating less - and his answer was always the same; "I'm just not feeling well."
Every day had been so dreary for him, the past few months. . . He'd do all of his homework at his desk, and then go to bed. It didn't matter how exhausted he was, it'd take him hours to fall asleep.
Screwing his amber eyes shut, he tried to block out the visions and voices in his head.
The way she quietly said good morning to him.
The way she'd rush down the hall to her class.
The way she'd laugh, and smile with her friends during lunch.
Really, those were just innocent things to think of. It gave him that fluttery feeling in his chest, it couldn't possibly harmful to have a crush.
But it'd get worse. It'd get so much worse, and he wouldn't be able to stop his thoughts.
How much she probably hated him for constantly scolding her.
The way the fabric of her red skirt fell over her legs.
The thought of having her right here in bed with him.
She's probably texting Fudou right now.
He wouldn't be able to fall asleep at this rate, would he.
"Hey, hey! Chill out! Are you cheating or something!?" Narukami snapped, earning a mere snort from Park.
Lunch was always fun, because the students weren't subjected to torture as they normally are in Teikoku. Park brings her video games sometime, and everyone gets their asses beat - except for Genda, she always goes easy on him.
"Come at me scrublord I'm ripped." The whitette jested. Good shit talking, always. Less than a minute later, poor Narukami was out of the game. Ridley did not stand a chance against Toon Link.
"Atta' girl! Learned from the best!" Grinning like an idiot, Fudou gave her a victory hi-five.
"Here, your turn." Handing over the little switch controller, the two switched spots, and this put her beside Kazemaru.
"I think you've been playing that game a bit too much." Kazemaru furrowed his brows, a small simper evident on his features.
"Don't worry, it's not as much as you think it is." Park chirped, followed by a laugh. "I swear!"
His amber eyes softened at her bright expression. Before she'd come to Teikoku, no one said a thing to one another at the lunch table. In fact, no one even really sat together at all. Yet here everyone was, at the same table, in the same conversation, and laughing about the same things. This was all her doing. . .
"Hey- are you free this weekend?" Finding some courage in himself, Kazemaru asked the female.
"Hmm. . ." With a finger at her chin, the white haired girl hummed. "I planned on going shopping Saturday, but that's about it. What's up?"
"It's been a while. . . I thought maybe we could do something." His gaze slowly averted to the table.
"Would you mind tagging along, then?"
"Sounds good." With a smile, Kazemaru nodded.
"Awesome, I'll send you a text!" Park happily clapped her hands together, before her attention immediately returned to the group - Fudou was yelling after all.
Kazemaru heaved a breath. . .
He really wishes he'd never met her.
