an older sister for the weak
[ a/n; this is gonna be a mess, idk what im doing ]
His icy blue eyes glistened, his hero, his idol, stood only a few meters away from him. . .
Wang Yeo; a student from Tonegawa Tousen. Originally, he was interested in attending Raimon, but after the original team had split up, the poor thing wasn't sure what to do anymore. He'd always been playing soccer here and there, but it was only when he saw a certain player on television that he decided to take soccer much more seriously.
He's an easygoing kid he was, and a very good son as well. His family comes from a line of spirit mediums, but not to the point they can summon spirits or harness them inside their body. Not anymore at least. Their spiritual power slowly weakened over the generations. Now, Yeo's grandmother is the most skilled medium in the family. The power is more potent through women, but it seems that Yeo may have rising potential.
They can feel the spiritual energy of ghosts, or even people. They can hear the voices of spirits, and banish evil energy. This is what their fortune had come from, the ability to give good luck, and be rid of evil in people's lives.
Asides from soccer, Yeo has his usual medium training from his mother.
A long time ago, he had an older sister. She was diagnosed with cancer, and died at age five, when Yeo was only of two years old.
They've never been able to contact her spirit, but this is a good thing, it means she passed on in the most peaceful way possible. She didn't have to suffer anymore, the girl could finally rest.
Yeo had considered attending Kasamino, because his idol was the new captain there. Shortly, he'd found out she was transferred to Teikoku, and yet again he didn't know what to do. Finally, he'd ended up in Tonegawa Tousen, alongside Endou Mamoru. He'd been the first to join the soccer team, and helped the brunette build the club all over again.
He was a forward, and a very strange one at that. He wasn't as intense as Gouenji, but he could still make some very strong shoots.
"Endou! Can you tell me about Park-san?" He'd ask this very often, and the captain had to think of up a different memory every time.
"She beat me in a soda drinking contest!" Endou laughed.
"In fact, she beat everyone on the team more than once. Even Kabeyama-kun." Kino chirped while sweeping the club room, she definitely missed the fluffy haired girl.
"She never finished her ramen, and always let me have the rest." Endou continued, earning a small frown from the short haired girl, and a sigh.
"Yeo-kun, you must really like her." Kino lifted a hand to her mouth, stifling a giggle.
"Huh?" The raven came to a halt, his face slowly burning up. Even still, he'd ended up shyly smiling. "Yeah. I think she's super cool. I really want to meet her one day!"
"You will, and I'm sure she'll be very happy to meet you as well." Kino assured the younger male.
And he did end up meeting her. After being picked for Inazuma Japan alongside his captain, his friend Sakanoue, and his dear idol, Park Mio.
A lot of people would wonder why he chose such a strange person to look up to. At first, he felt a good energy from her. After she caught his eye, he watched her plays much more intensely. Each step of hers was graceful, as if she was an angel spirit herself. Later, it was her bravery, and sense of protection that made her start to randomly attack. This was when she became a libero.
After she'd joined Teikoku, it was that ability of hers, to shed light onto the team. She befriended the supposed delinquent, she reminded everyone of their own morals and goals. She may have well tied the team together with a beautiful ivory white thread.
No, she wasn't the strongest on the team. She wasn't the smartest, she wasn't the most skilled, either. Park was a very normal person, with a very abnormal effect. This is what brought Yeo to adore her.
She felt like an older sister, even through the television. All her interviews, all her photos, all her signings.
Now he was able to meet her in person.
"Go say hi to her! She's really, really nice, I promise." Endou popped up beside the raven, tearing a shriek from the poor thing. "Whoops, didn't mean to scare you, haha!"
"U-uhm. . . I'm just really nervous." Yeo responded, fidgeting with his collar.
Endou only grinned, grabbed Yeo's arm, and dragging him over to the familiar white haired girl.
"Park-chan!" The brunette raised a hand to her.
"It's good to see you, Endou." Park chirped, smiling softly. On perfect cue, they bumped fists, and grinned.
"This is Yeo, our forward." As nonchalant as ever, Endou pointed a thumb at the shorter male. Park turned to him, flashed her signature smile, and bowed.
"Pleasure to meet you."
A very strange feeling struck him in the stomach. Yeo stared at her for a good ten seconds, and despite the awkward silence, she kept her warm smile, and patiently waited for him to reply. Her energy was different in person, it was warmer. . . It was so familiar.
This was his hero. The person that encouraged him to keep on, no matter what.
A little overwhelmed, Yeo started tearing up.
"Are you alright? It's okay, take your time." Park's motherly instincts kicked in, and she gently placed a hand on his shoulder, furrowing her brows.
The raven sniffled, looking back up and her, and nodding. Wordlessly, he threw his arms around her.
It took her less than a second, the whitette chuckled, coiling her arms around him as well.
"I'm so happy to meet you." He breathed out.
