Chapter 1: The point of change

Y/N had such a mundane life. Work, eat, sleep. Work, eat, sleep. She worked at a café to meet her financial demands, also due to the fact that she wasn't able to attend high school due to her parent's financial status. They were loving parents but money was something that was hard to come by, which she offered to help them with. Her younger brother, who was younger than her by 4 years, was a talented one. His name, Amajiki Tamaki, was going to be one that many will remember as a hero that fought. He had a quirk that had the potential to become a professional hero while she has no quirk. He's of a shy nature but he was always talkative with his sister. He had barely started highschool in UA and it was expensive to go to. At first, he opposed applying since the cost of it was relatively high compared to his parent's income. However, when his sister told them that she's going to be taking on more jobs, she was the one that urged him to apply for the hero course. Y/N specifically told him that her dream was to tell everyone that the brother she raised was a hero. That mere sentence made him determined to do well and give his sister a better life. She absolutely adored him with all her heart and she wanted to be like her parents, to support him so that he can be a proud hero he was born to be. Y/N was a 21-year-old with only a middle school diploma who worked in a café just to ease her parent's financial burden. A very boring life indeed. She sighed, lying down on her mattress as she stared up at the plain wall.

When will my life become something more than just ordinary?

A knock sounded and she quickly got up. Her little brother timidly opened the door.

"Ah, Tamaki. What's up?"

He had just passed the test and got into the hero course and Y/N was the first one that he wanted to tell, which of course made the entire household scream in joy and receive a few noise complaints.

"You look..."

Her eyes started to water, making him fidget around her. She wrapped her arms around him, hugging him tightly as she petted his hair.

"I'm so proud..."

"Y-Y/N... I'll make everyone proud!"

"We're already proud of you. Do your best, okay?"

He nodded vigorously, like a small puppy. Y/N straightened his shirt and looked into his shy ones that shined with determination.

"Build some confidence, Tamaki. You're amazing and will always make us suprised with your achievements."

His lips quivered and hugged her tightly.

"T-Thank you, Y/N..."

She just smiled, her heart clenching at her brother's achievements. When he got his quirk, she was indeed jealous. But, over time, as the little hands that grew into bigger ones, her heart went soft for him and it was as if all his achievements were hers. Y/N was absolutely proud of her little brother.

"Alright, go to sleep now, little one."

"I-I'm not little!"

"Wittle~ Anyways, you have school and I have work tomorrow morning."

"When I become a hero, I will... I will buy you whatever you want! I'll bring dad and mom on trips everywhere! We will all live a comfortable life!"

"Tamaki, don't worry about that. Even if we aren't rich, aren't we happy to be together?"

He just nodded and gave her a soft smile.

"Then, good night. I'll see you in the morning."

Tamaki got up and headed out, giving her a soft 'goodbye' before the door creaked shut. She went underneath her blanket, falling into a deep slumber.

RINNNGGG RINNNNGGG

Her alarm clock blasted right into her ear, making her smash the sad device. She groggily got up and got changed, still in the sleeping state. Y/N tried calming her hair down with some water but it stayed the bird's nest it was, so she resulted in tying her hair.

Another day in the café.

She rushed down, grabbing a piece of bread. At the table, she saw Tamaki nibbling on his breakfast excitedly. A soft giggle escaped her throat as she ruffled his hair.

"Good luck today, and tell me what happens!"

"I-I will!"

She ran out the door, making her way to the café that she was nearly late for. Y/N hurried into the locker room, put on her uniform, and cleaned up the place before it opened. Nanaka, was both her absolute best friend and boss, tightened her apron that she had accidentally tied too loose.

"Y/N, do I always have to tie it properly for you?"

"Hehe~"

"Let's get on with it!"

"Yes!"

The day was going, as usual, a few customers coming in, the normal intake of a normal café. The location was right smack between UA and her house, a perfect place for her to work and possibly walk back with Tamaki depending on when he gets released. Around noon, which was their peek period but had only 2 customers, was the very point where her life was about to change drastically.

The door bell chimed and both Nanaka and Y/N looked towards the door. She shivered at the sight. Both Endeavor and Hawks, standing side by side, at the entrance of their café. Y/N had the hots for the younger male because he had once saved Tamaki when they were very young. Of course, he probably won't remember because Tamaki was barely 2 years old. Her friend smacked her shoulder,

"Oi! Don't get distracted. Go on, serve them."

She rushed to the two tall males, Hawks looking around at the comfortable interior then down to the lady that was slightly trembling.

"H-Hello, a table for two?"

"Yes, please."

Her little steps that had small hops was quite adorable. However, the aura of Endeavor was quite overwhelming for everyone in the café. A brute and violent aura in a cute café was such a juxtaposition. She passed the two of them menus, which they thanked her for—including the scary and quiet Endeavor. When she rushed back, her friend commented on how cute Hawks looked even though she's literally married and is a faithful wife. Suprisingly, Endeavor's aura died down once everyone deemed he was not harmful or too overpowering. The blonde raised his hand and Y/N ran towards them. Endeavor pointed to a meal set, not speaking much. She just nodded and jotted it down. The younger male smiled, making her inner soul swoon.

"I'd like the fried chicken set."

"Yes, and for you, a fried ch- Wait, aren't you a bird yourself? Is that cannibalism?"

...

...

Even THE endeavor had his eyes wide open. The café went quiet and she started to panic.

"I-I'm s-sorry! I-I spoke very rudely!"

Y/N! WHY DID YOU SPEAK WHAT WAS ON YOUR MIND?!
