*Alois's P.O.V.*

I woke up in my bed, curled into a ball.

I had that dream again...

I shuddered.

Slowly cracking my eyes open, I looked around the room.

My eyebrows rose as I saw Ciel, pacing back and forth in front of the bed, muttering quietly to himself. I rose an eyebrow at him, seeing him run his fingers through his hair. He seemed almost stressed or worried.

"Ciel...?" I quietly spoke, my voice cracking. I cringed and coughed. I needed to get a drink.

He jumped at the sound of my voice and glanced over to me. Clearing his throat, "I uh, didn't realize that you were awake, Alois."

I giggled quietly and looked at him through my bangs. I went to say something to him, but he still seemed a bit off. "Ciel, is something bothering you?"

He rolled his shoulders and glanced at me again. "Why do you say that?"

I shrugged. "You just seem a bit put off."

He took in a big breath and let it out in a sigh. "It's nothing."

I tilted my head. "Are you su-"

"Your afternoon tea is ready, Young Masters." Sebastian spoke, walking into the room.

Ciel glanced over to his butler with a look of frustration on his face, but Sebastian merely smirked in response. Ciel tilted his head up towards the ceiling and let out a long exhale.

"I see. Come, let us go drink our tea, Alois." Ciel said, walking out of the room.

I sighed and walked out of the room, following Ciel into the library.

We're having tea in here...?

I sat down next to Ciel in one of the cushioned chairs in the library.

"Why exactly did you decide to serve tea here, Sebastian?" Ciel asked almost quietly, taking the full tea cup that his butler had just handed him.

"A library is often a place where someone can find peace of mind. I thought that the two of you would enjoy a moment to relax after what has happened as of late." Sebastian replied monotonously, handing me my own cup of tea. With a smirk and a bow, he walked out of the room.

The room was silent except for the quiet chinking of tea cups.

"So, Alois." Ciel said, breaking the silence. "What's your favorite genre of book?"

I set my tea cup down on the table between our chairs. "Actually, I don't read very often. It's just never appealed to me I suppose."

Ciel tsked and set his tea cup down as well. "I can change that." He stood up and grabbed me by the arm, leading me towards a random book shelf.

He hummed as he ran a finger across the books. "Lets start with...this one." He pulled a book out and handed it to me.

*Several Hours Later*

"Ciel! I found it!" I was standing on the very last step of one of the ladders in the library, reaching for a book in the top shelf.

"That's great, Alois, but try to be careful, you're really high up and you could fall."

"Aw, shush, Ciel. I'll be fine." I strained my arm to reach the book. "Almost...got it..."

I finally pulled the book out of the shelf and I felt a triumphant grin rise on my face.

Wiggling on the ladder, I shouted, "Look Ciel! I finally got the book out of the shelf-!"

I gasped as I felt myself fall off the ladder.

"C-Ciel!" I shouted as I fell backwards towards the floor.

"Alois I-" Ciel gasped and ran towards me.

"Oof!" Ciel grunted as he caught me, the force of it spinning us around and toppling us both over.

"Gah..." I rubbed the back of my head which hit the floor from the fall.

"Alois, are you okay?" Ciel worriedly asked, staring into my eyes intently.

It was only then that I realized the position we were in. Ciel was practically sitting on my lap if it weren't for his knees which were on either side of my legs, and his hands were next to both sides of my head on the floor.

I felt a hot blush rise to my face as I stared into his eyes. "I-I...I'm f-fine...a-are you okay as well?"

He sighed with what almost sounded like relief. "Yes, I'm perfectly fine. You really should have been more careful. Next time I'll just get Sebastian to get the book."

"Y-Yes." I wiggled my hips as I tried to sit up. "Ciel...? Could you get off me please?" I felt more and more heat rush to my face.

I felt his breath on my ear as he leaned forward. "Do you really want me to do that, Alois...?"

I shivered and bit my lip, finding myself without my voice.

"I thought so."

He smirked and leaned back ever so slightly, still close to my face, his nose nearly touching mine. "Alois..." He brushed the bangs out of my face. "Can I kiss you?"

Still breathless, I simply nodded slightly and he smiled softly at me.

Leaning forward, he connected his soft lips with mine. I felt an intense spark run through me as my whole body heated up in an instant.

He gently deepened the kiss, tilting his head, pushing his body closer to mine.

My face felt as if it was on fire as I felt Ciel shiver as well against me. Was he feeling what I felt as well?

I let out a quiet whimper as he pulled away from the kiss, both of us breathing quietly.

He leaned back and raised a hand up to my face, caressing it gently. "Your face, it's so red." He laughed quietly and sat up, getting off me. "It's getting late. Perhaps we should see if dinner is ready?" He held a hand out to me.

I blinked, clearing my throat. "Y-Yes, of course." I gently took his hand and stood up, following him out of the library.

Maybe libraries are peaceful.
