Ariella's POV

Finding out what Sylaq did completely broke me, it tore me apart and I didn't know if I could ever recover from it.

I was sure of something though, I knew I couldn't just kill him, I just couldn't kill him. Nathan, Jade, Queen Catherine, and Tyler love him. I love or loved him too so there was no way that I could just kill or let anyone else do that.

"I love you," Sylaq said.

"Love......doesn't.......hurt," I muttered and finally fired at the person that I wanted to kill. I killed Steve by mistake but this wasn't.

"NO!!" Jace groaned aloud.

Bella didn't even get the chance to really scream, she touched her heart and said, "Jace, avenge my death."

She fell to the ground in a second lifelessly. Jace ran to her and knelt before her. "Bella, you can't die," he wept.

I dropped the dam harrow on the ground, Jenny rushed to pick it but Zac beat her to it. Jenny tried to grasp the harrow from Zac's hand but failed.

"Let go of it or else I'll kill you," Zac warned. She turned to look at me, " I just knew that we should not have trusted you. You fuvking killed Bella!"

Jenny launched herself against me, and Sylaq was quick to attack her back.

Zac fired the harrow.

I almost crumbled knowing that the poison could have hit Sylaq but luckily, it hit Jenny instead.

Dorothy and Jade let out a long sigh of relief.

"Bella didn't deserve this," Jace got up and looked at me.

"My brother didn't deserve to be killed too," Astrid said.

The king didn't deserve that.

"Zac, fire the harrow at the monster who killed my husband," the Queen came to the surface.

"Your daughter asked me to kill him," Jace ranted.

"But why?" Tears dropped down Queen Catherine's cheeks.

"Because he got her married to that fucked up Alpha," Jace spat.

Zac was about to fire the harrow at Jace before Sylaq stopped him.

"Don't kill him. This bastard deserves to live in pain for the rest of his life. I want him buried in the grave dungeon," Sylaq commanded.

"Rishikit Tashkent freeze," Jade chanted.

"What's happening? Why can't I move? Why can't I move my body?" Jace groaned.

I think Jade must have frozen his powers or something.

Sylaq dashed out dragging Jace  along

NATHAN'S POV

Finally, the war is over but it had brought a lot of emotional damage. Queen Catherine was tearing up, she lost her husband and I just killed her daughter so of course, I wouldn't hate her for hating me.

She came closer to me and gave me a tight hug, the least I expected, the least I deserved but the most I needed at this point.

"I'm really sorry it ended like this," I cried.

"No, it was meant to be. Do not feel guilty 'cause I forgive you," she patted my shoulder.

I felt relieved hearing that.

"Ariella, do you hate my brother?" Nathan asked me.

"Not enough to kill him," I slowly broke the hug.

"So you're angry with him," Dorothy asked.

"Sylaq did some unforgivable stuff. I can't live with him. I'm sorry but I have to go now," I wiped off my tears.

"Are you kidding me? So you're just gonna leave like that? After everything, the two of you are not going to get your happy ending?" Jade rolled her eyes in disappointment.

"Happy ending doesn't exist for us," I shrugged.

"Fuck that shit. He loves you and if you love him? You'll forgive him," Tyler said to me.

"Whatever you decide, just make sure it'll make you happy," Zac told me, he was a good friend.

"Thanks. Sylaq said something about your mate being alive so I wish you the best of luck in finding her," I hugged him. He hugged me back, "thanks."

"Do we also get a hug?" Dorothy and Jade pouted.  I hugged them both, "I'll really miss you."

"We'll miss you too," Dorothy said, almost tearing up.

"I hope you guys work it out," Jade said as we broke the hug.

"I lost my father, I lost my sister though she was evil, I'm also gonna lose you which means that I'm gonna lose my brother too," Nathan said, hugging me.

I never signed up for this life but In the middle of this shit, I had come to love Sylaq's family apart from Bela and now, I was leaving them.

"I'll miss you the most," I whispered to Nathan.
