57 | Two Can PlaybThis Gane

Ariella's POV

Dorothy packed the car in front of a very beautiful purple-colored boutique. We got out of the car and went inside the building. However, this boutique wasn't located in Mount Evie, it was actually far from Mount Evie.

The boutique is well arranged in different patterns layered with exquisite dresses. A few employees are seen around while customers shopped for their clothes. All the dresses here are very detailed and really unique.

"Wow, they have nice dresses here," I told Dorothy.
"I know right? That's exactly why I brought you here," she said with a smile.

"Hey loves," Jade squealed for joy.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw Jade. She saved Sylaq from dying. I hugged her really tight.

"That's my surprise. Jade owns the boutique," Dorothy said.
"Nice, it's really beautiful", I said while breaking the hug.
"Dorothy, thanks for bringing her."

"So are these people here supernatural beings?" I asked.
"Nope, they're all humans", Jade replied while leading us in the right direction of the boutique. We stopped in front of a gray door, Jade opened it and gestured for us to enter. We entered the room and my eyes widened at the collection of heavenly ready-made ball gowns.

"Woah!!" I screamed.

"Told yah," Dorothy said.

"Which one should I choose? They're all perfect," I told them. Jade locked the door. The three of us were the only ones in the room. I went to the first category of dresses arranged in rectangular order.

"It's winter season so you should give them snow Queen vibes," Jade suggested while bringing a ton of light blue dresses.

"What about that one?" I pointed to a dress that was separated from all the other dresses. It stood on its own.

"Yeah, you're definitely gonna stand out wearing this," Dorothy went and took the dress.

"It's my best designer gown," Jade told us.

Dorothy took a ruby ball gown for herself.

"Jade, you're a lifesaver. When will you return to the palace?" I asked.
"When my brother clears my name and lifts my banishment," she said.

"No one told me what you're accused of. If you don't mind me asking1"

"Ariella, perhaps some other time," Jade discarded the topic.
"Sure", I told her.

"Can we shop for some other things we need for the event?", Dorothy asked impatiently.
"Yes," I answered with a smile.

Jade must have been accused of something serious for her brother to banish her but what could that be? Sylaq will have to answer my question.

THE FOLLOWING EVENING

There's no trace of Sylaq in the room. If Sylaq doesn't go for the ball, then there's no use in me going.

I'm sure Sylaq will attend the event cause I'm interested in going.

Beep! Beep!

An unknown number flashed on my phone, who could it be?

"Hello," I picked it up.
"MRS. Steel," my heart skipped a beat on hearing his. voice. Sylaq and I have never communicated by phone, how did he get my number?

"How did you get my number?" I asked.

"I'll leave you to solve that mystery on your own," I can be sure that he's smirking right now.

"Where are you?" I asked.
"In your heart, where else would I be?" there he goes again with his sweet sense of humor.

"Sylaq Steel, where are you? You need to be here immediately," I told him.
"Right beside you," he said.
"What?" I turned left to see him, the crazy vampire that was taking over my heart.

"You?!" I voiced. He just chuckled. I continued, "when did you get in?"

"MRS. Steel, a vampire never reveals his secret," he smiled swinging his right arm.

"Hmm, I'm sure that's not how the phrase goes. A magician never reveals his secret, not a vampire," I corrected him.

"Is that so? Well, this is my phrase," he tilted his chin.
"Are you coming to the ball?" I couldn't hold the question any longer.

"Nah, not my kind of thing," he said.

"I'm actually going," I said. Now, I'm sure that he's gonna change his mind. He's definitely gonna come. Sylaq Steel never misses an opportunity to be around me.
"Oh, in that case, have fun," he removed his shirt and lay on the bed.

"W-what? So you're not gonna accompany me to the ball," I paused.
"Why don't you like these sorts of events?" I asked.
"They are boring," he said spreading his broad body on the body.

"But I'll be there," I boldly stated.

"If you want me there then you should ask me to come otherwise, I ain't coming," he confidently said.

Dammit, I really want Sylaq to be there with me but I'm too obstinate to ask him.

He thinks he has won this round but I'll shock him. I smirked at him and then said, "if you don't want to come with me then you can stay here. I'll just ask Zac Tyger. I'm sure that he'll gladly accept to come with....," -Sylaq didn't give me a chance to end my sentence.

He dashed to me and held my face, "MRS. Steel, I don't appreciate jokes like this. I'll come to the ball but don't ever bring up that bastard, Zac Tyger up,• he desperately said.

I wasn't planning on going with Zac but I had to say that to make Sylaq come with me and it worked.

"You're sure? Cause you don't have to come," I chuckled.

"I want to and I have to come with you. You should go ahead .and get ready," he said. He let go of my face slowly gesturing for me to go and change.

This is Sylaq Steel, possessive yet so caring.

I gave him a smile before going into my closet to change.

Sylaq's POV

How much longer do I have to wait? She has been in the closet for forever hours now. I already know that she'll look the most beautiful in whatever she wears tonight but my eyes are fixed on the door like a hopeful child waiting for Santa Clause to walk in. I can't believe that she threatened me with Zac. I just wanted her to ask me to come but of course, she was too stubborn to do that.

I glanced through the room, Ariella has given this room life and hope. If she decides to go then this room will be lifeless. The handle of the door is twisted giving mr signal that Ariella is coming in.

The door opened and the earth stopped rotating when my eyes saw her.

My eyes are just glued to her like a magnet.

She looks beautiful, beyond beautiful in the most gorgeous Silver-blue gown that I've ever seen. The gown reveals two colors as one. The upper part of the dress is made up of a silver net with royal blue stones embroidery. The rest of the dress is made and the silver color is lighter than the top of the dress. The left arm
Is long-sleeved while the right arm isn't. The dress is tailed with the finest peacock material. Her hair is curled into a very pretty and high ponytail that matched her dress. She has make-up on but it doesn't hide her hazel-green eyes. Her silver-blue hills compliment her entire look.

"Why are you mute? Is something wrong?" She asked checking herself for flaws.

"No, nothing is wrong, everything is just perfect. Even the moon goddess will be extremely jealous of you cause your flawless beauty outshines her. The dress you selected is deadly gorgeous and would look gorgeous on any other person but because MRS. Steel is putting it then its beauty outshines every other beautiful dress," I told her, licking my lips.

"Thanks. I also love the dress," she smiled.

"It's not just your dress that makes you beautiful but also your hair and your unbeatable smile," I said.

Ariella's POV

THE ROYAL BALL

The majority of the people showed up in black Cinderella gowns but they still looked beautiful. Both Sylaq and I didn't wear masks, we hated the idea.

"May I have this dance?" My impatient husband asked me. I'm sure he only came here so that we can dance. I spotted the King and Queen in goldfish-green outfits, they were also dancing.

"MR. Sylaq Steel, we just got here," I chuckled.

"MRS. Steel, why should we waste time? Time is precious."

"You're a vampire so you need not worry about time," I smirked.

"You're the show tonight, just look at how all of them are gazing at you," Sylaq chuckled, holding my hands tighter. He wasn't lying though, so many eyes were fixed on me.

"Too bad, my eyes won't be able to look at them cause they are fixed on one person only," I said.

"Yes, they're fixed on me," he said boldly.

"You wish," I told him.
"If not me then who will you be looking at all night long?" He asked.

No one, Sylaq Steel is the only person that I want to look at.

"That's a secret. You've also refused to tell me two secrets today and so I'll keep this too from you," my smile comes out naturally.

"I see," he smirked.

"I'm dam sure it's me. Shall we dance?"

"Yes, we shall.

He led me to the ball, and so many paved the way for us. I loved the song that was playing, and Sylaq did too.

He twirled me around. I felt as though I'd danced with Sylaq, a long time ago but that was impossible.

"This is totally worth it," he muttered softly.
"What?" I said softly.
"Coming to the ball with you, dancing with you, everything with you is with it," he told me. I couldn't help but blush, my heart was beating for him, a heart that could never beat for Steve was beating for this crazy vampire.

"I love you," he breathed. He didn't let me reply, he silenced me with his tender kiss, he kissed me in a way that only he knew how to, his tongue brushing mine, his hands still holding my waist gently, I gave into the kiss.

"How wonderful?" The King's loud voice stopped the kiss.

"Everyone please cheer for them," the King shockingly said. Everyone literally cheered for Sylaq and me as if we were in a movie or something.

This simple gesture from the King revealed a big fact, he had accepted me as his son's wife.

We were dancing to our third song when that bitch, Jenny came to ruin everything.

Flaunting her jet black gown, she walked right up to us and said? "Sylaq, thanks for that afternoon chat, and above all, thank you for the kiss."

"Excuse me?" I quickly removed my hands from this place. Jenny must be cooking up this shit but what if she's not.

"She's lying to you," Sylaq said.

"Didn't we meet this afternoon?" She asked.

"Yes, we did and so what?" Sylaq answered. Sylaq had no reason to meet up with Jenny but he did. This means that they actually kissed.

Not wanting to stand like a fool, I ran out of the ball almost falling down the cause of my hills.

Unfortunately, I heard a few people whispering, "wasn't the King just cheering for them?"

All this is Sylaq's fault, he cheated on me just like Steve did.

"Ariella, I can't believe that you're actually believing what she said," Sylaq voiced, coming after me.

My eyes landed on Zac Tyger who looked hot in all white wolf-skin jacket over white leather pants, he seamed to be walking in my direction.

I looked back at Sylaq and said firmly, "two can play this game."

I did the first thing my head told me to do, I rushed to Zac and kissed him.
