Ariella's POV

THE FOLLOWING AFTERNOON
THE ROYAL DINING ROOM

E EVERYONE'S in the huge Royal dining room for thanksgiving lunch. Sylaq who was sitting beside me had been trying to talk to me after that fight we had in the morning but I didn't give him the chance. I helped Dorathy, Astrid, and a couple of servants to set the table. The dining table looked festive with a variety of special dishes like Basmati fried rice, currants, German tats, lamb sticks, grilled turkeys, Lasagna, and desserts like apple pies, coffee cakes, chocolate pies, and more. My mouth was already salivating fully ready to dive into the juicy turkey before me. Although this day would have been better with my family I'm grateful that I'm still alive. Sylaq was right about me not appreciating the fact that some of his family members like Dorathy, Tyler, Nathan, Astrid, and the Queen were friendly toward me. Even the King had started warming up to me slowly. If they all hated me then I'd be long dead the minute I stepped into Mount Evie. The thought of me actually accepting that this would be my life forever creeped the shit out of me. I would not stay here cause I had dreams of my own and they didn't include vampires. I took my fork feeling a little bit hesitant to take a bite of the turkey. Even this turkey had a life but it was slaughtered to make our lives more flavorful. I'm a human but I can be slaughtered by any of these creatures to fulfill their evil desires. Yes, they are friendly toward me now but how long will that last? That's it, I'm leaving this place as soon as I find a new place to live in. There's no going back and I'm most certainly not changing my mind about it. I've been saying that I would leave here for two months now but I didn't even try to find a place to stay. Ariella, you need to take action before it's too late.

"Ariella, why are you hesitating to eat," Astrid said pulling me out of my deep thoughts.

I noticed their heavy gazes on my face. "Aunt Astrid, it's nothing. I'm just thinking of where to start," I said and had a bite of the turkey.

Hmm, this is very delicious, Crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside.

"Zac, are you enjoying your meal?" The King asked Zac who seemed to be enjoying the lamb sticks. My eyes darted to Nathan who looked cute with cake stuffed on his face.

"Yes, I am. They taste like heaven and I can't seem to get enough of it," Zac said, earning a shrug from Sylaq.

"Can someone tell me why Zac is here again?" Bella who looked pretty in a blood-red sweater and black leather skirt asked but got no reply from anyone.

The butler, Bella's mate came in and said," your highnesses, your special guest has arrived."

"Excellent! Let him in," King Damian commanded. The butler quickly went to bring the guest in.

"You didn't tell me that we would be expecting visitors," Queen Catherine faced her husband.

"Darling, it's a surprise," the King said with an actual smile.

"Aren't you quite the surpriser these days? But I have to say that you're definitely bad with surprises," Sylaq said raising a glass of blood to his mouth.

The king asked with almost an unnoticeable smirk, "son, what do you mean?"

Sylaq drank the blood and then he replied, "you definitely surprised everyone by letting this bastard, Zac Tyger live in the castle."

Zac coughed pathetically looking at Sylaq. Sylaq sent a deadly glare to Zac before continuing, "then you arrested me and Zac. As if that wasn't enough, you locked me up with Zac in that small shitty cell together. So I'm guessing your next surprise will involve me but I'm sure I will hate it.!"

The King smiled widely and then crossed his fingers.

An awkward silence took over the room as we heard footsteps coming in.

I wondered who the person was.

"Happy thanksgiving to y'all," a tall dark-skinned man said as he walked into the room. King Damian got up and shook hands with the guest.

"Alpha Patrick, it's a pleasure to have you here in my home," King grinned.

"Your majesty, the pleasure is all mine," Alpha Patrick said with a smile.

"Everyone please meet Alpha Patrick responsible for Thunder Pack," the king introduced the black-haired man.

"Welcome to Mount Evie," Queen Catherine said.

"Thank you for having me here," Alpha Patric looked delighted.

We all welcomed him and made way for him to sit on one of the extra chairs. I noticed Sylaq observing the guest closely anticipating his father's surprise.
"How was your trip down here?" the King asked.
"It was very long but stress-free."

"Ariella, do you care for some lamb sticks?" Zac asked me, obviously trying to get to Sylaq. I rolled my eyes at Zac and said, "nope."

"Really? They're really delicious and a beauty like you only deserves to eat the most delicious lamb sticks," he licked his lips.

"She said no so shut the hell up," Sylaq raised an eyebrow. Zac smiled victoriously.

"Sylaq, I don't want any drama in front of our guest and a future member of this family," the King said clearly leaving us surprised with his last words.
He continued, "Alpha Patric will be my son-in-law."

"Mom, looks like dad has a bastard daughter outside, or do you guys have a hidden daughter?" Bella rolled her eyes and smirked.

"Bella!" The King raised his voice,

"Father! I'm just stating the obvious," Bella twisted her fingers.

"Bella, watch your tongue," Queen Catherine was firm.

"Bella, Alpha Patrick is to be your husband. I have decided that you'll be getting married to Alpha Patric in a week and my decision is final," the King said with finality obvious in his voice.

"Bella? Who?" Bella asked obviously doubting her father's words.

I'm loving this moment right now.

"Bella Steel, my second child, and only daughter," the King replied casually.

"What? Are you fucking kidding me?" You can't do this to me. I don't agree and I haven't even found my mate," she screamed.

"I can and I have," the King wasn't intimidated by Bella's outburst.

Both father and daughter stood up to their feet.

"I don't understand. What's going on here?" Queen Catherine asked

"It's obvious that dad has lost his mind," Bella groaned.

"Bella Steel!," the king shouted.

"You will not talk to your father, the King like that," the Queen raised her voice.

Sylaq was smiling so hard that everyone could see.

I kicked his leg signaling to him to stop. He looked at me and deepened his smile.

Tyler smirked, "does that mean we'll be eating wedding cake soon?"

"You shut the fuck up or I swear on my life that I'll pluck out your eyes with my claws," Bella shouted.

"I'd like to see you try," Dorothy challenged angry Bella. Dorothy looked cute in a baby-pink floral gown.

"I already knew that a sort of drama would take place," Nathan muttered. Sylaq sent him a thumbs-up.

"Nobody will force me to get married to this dammed Alpha or any other guy for that matter," Bella stamped her feet on the ground causing the flower vase on the floor to crumble to the ground.

"Guards!!!!", the King shouted, and suddenly a group of soldiers came and grabbed Bella by her hands.

"LET. GO. OF. ME!" She shouted as they were taking her away. She tried to fight back but she was powerless compared to the four men dragging her.

"You'll all pay for this!" Bella groaned loudly.

"Let her go. She shouldn't be forced into this," Alpha Patrick bold his face.

"Leave her!" The King commanded and they instantly let her go.

"I'll not marry Alpha Peter, this fucked up son of a bitch," Bella instantly threw two soldiers onto the chandelier. The chandelier cut through their bodies, it was bloody to watch but they instantly got healed.

"I'm not gonna stand for you to insult my mom and it's Patrick, not Peter," Alpha Patrick said.

"I could care less what your name is," Bella took a glass of wine and poured it on the Alpha's spotless white suit.

Oops!

Sylaq who had been silent this whole time finally said something. I guess, he couldn't hold it in anymore.

"Okay, I have to say that I'm very pleased with this surprise," Sylaq grinned with amazement.
