ZAC'S POV

I had been in this terrible dungeon for hours and I'm constantly being tortured with silver. I was positive that they would kill me instantly so why are they wasting time by hitting me over and over again. That monster, Sylaq Steel had taken a ton of innocent lives for no reason and today, when I finally gave him what he deserved, they are punishing me as if I attacked a saint.

Fuck them all.

I still remembered my eighteenth birthday like it was yesterday even if that was four years ago.

A ruthless vampire beast came into Starlight's pack and started attacking a lot of werewolves. He took advantage of the extra power that he got from being royalty to kill a lot of
people.

"Alpha, the vampire beast is here and he's been attacking everyone," our beta informed my dad.

"Zac, keep your mom and brother safe while I battle against the intruder," my dad told me.

"I'm strong enough to fight him," I retorted.

Dad nodded his head in agreement and so we made sure that all the pops, the women, and the Luna, my mom were guarded in the royal safe zone.

Luke, my younger brother who was seventeen years old also told our dad that he is prepared to fight in this battle. Sylaq Steel was just one person but a huge number of soldiers had gathered to fight him.

"It's time for that vampire beast to rot in hell," Luke said to me as the two of us rode on our bikes together to fight the demon.

"Once he gets bitten by one of us, he will immediately die," I pointed out.

Alicia and Alice who were both twins and coincidentally were our mates approached us with their bikes. Alice was Luke's mate and Alicia was my mate.

The twins were completely identical physically but I was well aware that my heart was only beating for Alicia.

"You shouldn't be here," I shouted but they shrugged.

"Mi amor, chill," Alicia said with a smile. The Flores were natives of Mexico but they recently moved to our country a year ago. I'm glad that they moved here cause I got to meet my mate, Alicia Flores.

"Seriously, the two of you are in danger," Luke said.

"My papa is a soldier and the two of you know that we can help in this fight," Alice said.

Yes, it's true that the Flores twins were very strong and well-trained but letting them follow us would be a bad choice.

However, they didn't agree so they followed us. The four of us were on our bikes and we swiftly rode to the beginning point of Starlight Pack. We got down and tried to locate the vampire beast but he made our work easier when he came forward and said, "are you looking for me?"

"You bastard, it's high time you pay for your evil deeds," I barked at him but the green-eyed fool laughed loudly. It was strange that dad and the other soldiers hadn't reached here yet.

"Here, I am. Kill me," he mocked, looking like a conqueror in a black leather jacket and black leather pants.

"Sylaq Steel, your days are numbered," Alicia said seriously. He laughed again which made us feel humiliated so we shifted to our wolf forms.

Luke was a brown wolf, Alicia, and Alice were both golden wolves, and I was a white wolf.

Even after shifting, he seemed unbothered but we obviously attacked him at once.

"Arg!" We screamed as our wolves came in contact with him. He knew that our bite could kill him so he came prepared. His body was coated in silver, our weakness.

We didn't give up.

Luke and I tried to bite his skin but we blacked out.

I woke up to see that I was laying down on a bed.

"We need to kill him," I spoke out but realized that I was in the hospital next to my mom.
"No need son. He already left", she said while crying.

"Where is Luke?" I asked.
"He is still unconscious", mom answered.

"What about the Flores twins?" I asked out of fear.

"They didn't make it. The silver was too strong for them," mom wept.

"No!!" I shouted and cried.
"You're lying. It can't be.", I groaned.

"It's the sad truth. The gods took away your mate and your brother's mate," mom wept harder.

"No, the gods didn't do this. That vampire beast, Sylaq Steel did this," I groaned Sylaq Steel! He'll pay for this.

I got up from my bed and went out but I saw Mr. and Mrs. Flores who were grieving from losing their daughters. I hid from them cause I was embarrassed and felt too guilty to face them. That night, I left my home and went to Mount Evie but got disappointed when I didn't see Sylaq Steel. I wanted to kill his mate but found out that he hadn't found his mate. King Damian stupidly offered me his shelter cause he wanted me to be a part of his army. My dad had saved him in the past so he felt obligated to help him. He wasn't wicked like his son but I'm still going to ruin Sylaq's life. King Damian knew that Sylaq attacked my pack but he didn't know that I lost my mate.

"Sire, I'm ready to stay here but I don't want my pack to know that I'm here," I said to him and he assured me that my family would never find me here.

"Arg!" I groaned aloud when I was hit with a whip-coated silver and that brought me out of my thoughts.

"Leave him alone," the King's voice echoed from behind.

"Yes, my lord," the soldier immediately stopped hitting me.

The king came into vision and said, "How dare you think of touching my son?"

"I dared to cause he deserves it."

"Think twice before talking," the King warned.

"Your majesty, a vampire came into my pack and killed a huge number of my people including my mate and my brother's mate," I said.

"Your mate?" he asked in disbelief.

"Yes, he killed them. I didn't even touch him over these years but today was different. What am I guilty of? Am I guilty of being Sylaq's victim? Tell me, your majesty, am I really guilty?"
