Alex's POV
I'm sat quietly on the bus waiting to get to the centre of the city, it holds a huge mall. I'm meant to be meeting a group of friends but I'm running late due to the bus being late. Finally after nearly half hour the bus comes to the bus stop that I needed to get off at. I get off the bus and say "thanks" to the driver. I walk along the path that leads to the entrance of the mall and spot 2 friends waiting for me at the entrance. "Bailey, Megan" I whisper and walk towards them. "Sorry I'm late, I was caught up watching Yu-Gi-Oh! And my bus was late" I say barely loud enough for them to hear. "You and that show" Bailey says while rolling her eyes. She smiles and grabs my arm and drags me through the mall to where we're meeting the rest of the group. Beth, a bleach blond girl that I don't actually like, walks up to me. "Let me guess, Yu-Gi-Oh! Was it gx or 5ds this time" she says while rolling her eyes. I just look at her, not responding. "Let's drop it now" Megan suggests. I nod 'if she makes another comment about me I'm leaving' I think while turning to look at Megan with a smile on my face.

Everyone else had gone to the toilets leaving me with Beth. 'Just great' I think. "If your gonna be a nerd can you at least do it away from me. I think it's contagious" she says with a glare. Megan and Bailey, as if sensing my discomfort walk out as she says this. I look at them and run in the opposite direction. They know where I'm going, to the forest, I spend most of my free time there. This time though I hear footsteps following me and I slow down, knowing that they wanted to go with me. They follow me in silence. I keep walking until I reach a meadow. When we get there a bright red light catches us by surprise. "Guys duck!" I shout and get to my knees, being slightly higher than they are I protect them. They lay on the floor and I'm protecting them soon the pain gets to much and I collapse, my world swimming in darkness.

When I wake up I lay still as I hear voices near me. It's a males voice, but it sounds familiar. I instantly jump to my feet even though I'm weak from the attack. The fear and adrenaline fuel me, but I don't know how long it will last. I crouch into a protective position upon noticing Megan and Bailey on the ground behind me. I look in front of me to try and find the sources of the voice. I see a boy around the age of 16, he must be at least a year older than us. I growl at him "stay away!" I shout. "Don't worry I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to help." The boy assures but I don't buy it. I growl again as he takes a step towards me. "I said stay away!" I shout and my eyes turn red. I bring my left hand to my chest then swing it out, causing the boy in front of me to fly back 'what just happened' I thought to myself in shock. "I'm sorry but I warned you." I say while leaning over to try to wake Megan up. I hear shuffling and turn to see the man rising to his feet. I recognise the boy from somewhere. Suddenly two more boys show up, "stay back" I growl as they begin walking towards me and my friends. "If we don't get them help soon they might die" the boy that had been here the whole time said. I focus on the boy and allow the others to walk around me to get to my friends. I stumble a little as the adrenaline is wearing off. The boy looks at me in concern "are you ok?" He asks. "I'm fine, just make sure they get to safety" I mumble before falling to the ground. I'm still conscious but I'm too weak to move so when I feel arms around me I do nothing but look at the person carrying me. It's the boy I was talking to, he puts me on his duel runner...'wait duel runner, this must be Yu-Gi-Oh! 5d's. which mean the boy that's carrying me is yusei. How did I not think this sooner?' I think to myself as my eyes turn back to their normal bright blue. I look up into yuseis cobalt blue eyes and turn to look at Megan and Bailey. I look at my friends in concern, they hadn't woken up even with all the shouting. "Please help them" I whisper while laying my head on his back and wrapping my arms around his waist limply to hold myself up when he starts his duel runner.
