Explanation.
As you probably guessed from the title,(or maybe you didn't) this is the chapter where I tell you what the colors mean... I don't exactly remember what situations I had what color aligned with so please be forgiving if these don't meet your standards/don't make sense.
Black- evokes strong emotion,(in this case anxiety or any strong negative emotion) too much of it can be overwhelming.
It was used in Virgil to: Hide his feelings, Intimidate, Radiate Authority, Create Fear/Deal with his fear, Associated with Mystery (Has nothing to do with this but I thought it'd be fun to know.)
Gray- Cool, neutral, Practical, Conservative, Formal, Quiet. It also could be associated with a sense of depressiveness.
The color grey is considered to be unemotional, detached seeking
Used in Virgil to: Depress Energy, Associate Timelessness, Communicate, Maturation Express boredom, wisdom, resignation, dignity, compromise.
yellow- Throughout the book this color can mean a lot of different things, along with all of the colors, it depends on what situation/ what Virgil is feeling.
It can mean: happiness, positivity, optimism, loyalty, and joy. But it can also mean things like cowardice and deceit (Deceit? I didn't know he was in this story???)
It was used in Virgil to: Help stimulate clear thinking, Awake his awareness, Energize, Affect mood.
Green- growth, safety, ambition, freshness, greed, and jealousy. (ouch)
It was used in Virgil to: Balance, Revitalize, Encourage, Possess.
Blue- This color is seen a lot throughout the story. Inner security, (makes sense) Trust, A sense of calm and collecting... but also a sense of worry. (Virgil is an emotional mess)
It was used in Virgil to: Reduce Stress, Create Calmness, Relax, Secure himself, and to create a sense of order.
Purple- Imagination, Compassion, Sensitivity, Mystery but it also has a sense of pain.
It was used in Virgil to: encourage creativity, inspire, combine wisdom, Reflection, Self-Awareness.
Red- excitement, passion, anger, love, feeling a sense of fluster.
It was used in Virgil to: Stimulate either exciting or negative emotions, Create urgency, Draw attention, warn others to use caution, let others know they are loved.
Orange- Optimistic, Independent, Adventurous, warmth (as in it warms the heart), Inviting, Motivating and encouraging.
It was used in Virgil to: Express freedom (When I say express freedom, I mean in the moment Virgil thought he was likely going to be hurt, like if you recall reading this color before reading about the bully.... he was optimistic that he wouldn't see the bully and felt a sense of freedom when he saw Patton. It's in Chapter 2.) And it was also used to express his more extroverted side.
Pink- Compassion, Love, Immature, Playful, Admiration, Venerability,
It was used in Virgil to: Fascinate,(Honestly, all of his colors were used to fascinate) Increase (his own) pulse. (It really didn't do much to him besides the lasting affects of love... that's what killed him)
White- purity, represents an overwhelming amount of emotion, just like Black does in the same way but also in the opposite, emptiness, hope, sophistication, innocents, neutral, idealism.
It was used in Virgil to: Afflict every overwhelming emotion...
I might be forgetting some colors, If I am... please tell me, I kinda gave up reading through the story at like Chapter 5....
A thing that you guys should know about Virgil's hair color and his emotion is that very much like one's emotion, he can have different colors in his hair much like people can feel several different emotions at once.
Emotions are complicated which is what made it hard to write this.... I hope you guys enjoyed the story But are you ready for Story 2!? (I decided I'm doing it)
I may come back to this later and make it a little more... accurate, but for now. This'll do.
See ya later Sinners!
