Rise to the Silliness of the Self
A funny event
Has occurred today,
I stepped in the water
And my shoes went away.
I stepped another step
And my socks did, too.
I didn't bother to search
Because I knew they were lost
So I went through the rocks
And played in the sand.
I heard a loud speaker say,
"Stop where you stand!
Go back where you came!
What adventures I may take you on."
To discover some more
I went back where I came
And caught a ride
That took me Elsewhere
On the way I got a bright pink too
To slurp and slobber until we reside
In Elsewhere I saw
Two very happy couples
And thought to myself
"Oh, now where are my socks?
And where are my shoes?"
Went into the grass to follow the couple's
As though happiness was a thing that could be spread by air
As I looked down at their feet on the ground
I thought, my life is unfair
Only to look down and see
That I am not missing anything
Not for being me.
