Episode 56

"Ahhhh," Jungkook sighed frustratedly, "it was so embarrassing Hoseok-Hyung why did I do that..."

The older chuckled gently as he sat on his office chair, looking over to his bed where Jungkook laid face first in the covers.

"What's the big deal?" He asked, "You guys made out for the first time and you got a little too ex-"

"Don't day it out loud!" Jungkook whined, "It makes it even worse."

Hoseok giggled.

"You should have seen him Hyung, he was just sitting there, sexy and all, looking like he knew exactly what he was doing, and I was acting like a dumb teenage boy."

"You are a dumb teenage boy though," Hoseok laughed.

"That's not the point!" Jungkook said, suddenly looking up from the covers, "the point is, I can't handle my boyfriend's sex appeal and it's a problem."

And Hoseok burst out laughing again. He would have never imagined to hear his friend say such things in such ways, with so much life.

Jungkook used to be so reserved and cold, and now there he was, word vomiting all over his sheets about his crush recently turned to boyfriend.

"You're really cute when you're frustrated you know that?" Hoseok asked teasingly.

"That's the problem!" Jungkook mumbled, "Jimin says that too, 'ahh you're so cute' and then ruffles my hair. He doesn't take me seriously... he thinks I'm a kid."

"All right, all right," Hoseok smiled, leaning closer to him, "lemme teach you how it's done, kiddo."

"Why did I do thaaat," Jimin whined, laying on the tatamis with a hand thrown over his eyes.

"Jimin," Yeongsu sighed, "you've been mopping around for the past thirty minutes, can we move one and get to training?"

"Hyung!" Jimin said, sitting up, "did you not hear what I just said?!"

"Yeah, yeah, you were very cringe Jimin but that's how it is when hormones take over," Yeongsu answered nonchalantly, sitting next to Jimin and looking down at him.

Jimin shuttered again, thinking back to his words.

"Don't worry, I'm hard too."

"Aaargh" He whined, rolling around as his hand ruffled his hair.

"Listen chimmey," Yeongsu sighed. "We seriously need to get to it, I'm going home early to study for midterms."

"Yeongsu have you ever dated anyone?" He asked, standing up and clenching his wrapped fists, getting into a fighting stance.

"Of course," Yeongsu answered, throwing the first punch.

Jimin dodged if effortlessly, continuing his little interrogation.

"How was it? How does one become sexy but not cringe?" He asked.

"Well, do you think Jungkook is sexy?" Yeongsu asked, feeling the the pace of their punches increasing.

"Of course," Jimin answered, "when he's drawing all serious, when he's walking too, oh, I know, when he looks at me just before he kisses me, and I really feel like he w-"

"Okey chimmy I get the picture," Yeongsu laughed, "he doesn't do anything particular to look sexy, you just find him that way because you like him, and he likes you too so he probably find you sexy without you knowing."

"Yeongsu, Jungkook is so shy I highly doubt he sees me like that. Ah, he's just so goddamn cute."

"Ew"

"Seriously though? Jungkook is so cute all the time it makes me want to just-"

"I don't need to know Jimin for Christ sake."

Jungkook was still blushing as he thought back to Hoseok's words of instruction. Taehyung had just texted him to buy a few ingredients from the supermarket at the corner of the street, but all he could think of was Jimin and the conversation he had had with Hoseok.

He tried to slap his cheek, snapping himself out of his daze as he finally looked up.

"Oh, Minjung-ssi?" Jungkook asked as the glass doors of the corner market slid open before him.

"Ah, what was your name again?" The boy asked, and Jungkook noted how his cheeks seemed fuller than the last time they had met.

"Jeon jungkook," He said. "How have you been?"

"Great, how's your boyfriend," he asked, flashing Jungkook a dazzling smile.

"He's... good I guess," Jungkook mumbled, looking down embarrassedly as he scratched the back of his neck.

"Did you two fight?" Minjung asked, his warm breath dissipating in the cold air.

"Oh no no, it's just, I just really like him a lot and... I'm not very good at showing it."

Minjung giggled.

"You're very cute Jeon Jungkook," he laughed. "Your boyfriend must really be amazing."

"Mhm." Jungkook hummed, "Ah here, as a thanks for helping me last time," he smiled, taking the bottle from his bag and opening it only for the fizzy drink to spill everywhere.

"Ah I'm so sorry," he said, looking at Minjung who's hoodie was utterly soaked.

"Come I'll fix it at home," Jungkook said, not thinking twice as he wrapped his hand around Minjung's wrist and pulled him behind him, "you'll freeze if you go home like that."

Minjung hadn't said anything, simply letting himself be dragged by his new friend, wondering how someone with such large hands and a clearly strong build could hold his wrist so gently.

Jeon Jungkook was the first person his age he had met since waking up.

His last memory had been of a classmate utterly beating him, and he had woken up only to be told he had missed out on three years of his life.

From his memory students were mean, violant and cold, but Jungkook seemed like he truly meant him no harm.

And as they arrived at Jungkook's home and he fervently told him to take his hoodie off, promising he would wash it for him, he couldn't help but feel thankful that he had met such a kind soul.

"Uh Kookie," Taehyung mumbled, "come here and explain to me why a half naked guy is in our living room."

"Ah, sorry hyung, this is Minjung, we had a little mishap," Jungkook said as he popped his head out of Taehyung's room with one of his hoodies.

"Minjung?! Minjung from checkmate?!" Taehyung asked as he dropped his school bag, kicked his shoes off and ran towards him.

"Is this your boyfriend?" Minjung asked, turning to Jungkook.

Taehyung burst out laughing.

"Ew no, but speaking of Jimin, does he know you're inviting superstars over to hang out half naked at our place?"

The boy tensed visibly, and suddenly Taehyung was reminded of the conversation he had had with his brother.

"Jimin?" Minjung breathed shakily.

"Mhm," Taehyung said, "that's his boyfriend's name, Park Jimin, rings a bell?"

Mining seemed to hesitate for a quick second, his bottom lip clearly trembling for half a second before he smiled painfully.

"Oh uh? One of my classmate's name was Jimin."

Taehyung looked at him.

"Park Jimin and Minjung went to the same middle school. Jimin was detained in the facility for two years for the physically assaulting him."

He had found it hard to believe when Yoongi had first explained it to him. He had been hanging out with Jimin often since they had met, and he would even go as far as saying the two of them were friends.

Jimin was a sweet and selfless guy who had taken in seven kittens and named them after the days of the week, there was no way he would have done such things.

Then again, he had killed his father and let his older brother take the blame for it, he was sure Jimin would find that just as hard to believe.

Maybe it was best if he didn't tell Jungkook anything, Taehyung had his own secrets after all, and some secrets were better off being kept.

"Oh really? I guess Jimin is a pretty common name for people our age," Taehyung said.

"What is he like?" Minjung asked hesitantly, "Jimin, Jungkook's boyfriend."

"Oh don't get him started," Taehyung joked as Jungkook came back from the kitchen with warm tea,"Jimin is his first boyfriend and they're still in their puppy love faze."

"Hey!" Jungkook protested.

"It's true, Jimin this, Jimin that! You never stop about how cute he is."

Jungkook sighed, utterly embarrassed as he covered his red cheeks with his hand, it proved to be ineffective as the tips of his ears still burned bright red.

"To be fair, Jimin is really likeable," Taehyung added, "he's really caring, and funny."

"Just like Jungkook," Minjung teased, urging a kick from him that made him laugh.
