Episode 21
"i guess you could say that"
Suddenly, a soft mewl came from the entrance, the three boys looking up at turning towards the box. Jimin was the first to stand up, quickly padding over to fetch the large cardboard box and bring it back to the two other boys.
Jungkook licked his lips, eyes darting down to Jimin's waist as he saw his sweatpants slowly dripping down, hanging loosely on along the lines of the underwear Jimin was wearing. His underwear.
Before Jimin could sit back down, Jungkook reached over, fingers wrapping around the strings of the clothing and tightening thm, making JImin's hips jerk in his direction slightly.
Jungkook reacted quickly, his hand gripping Jimin's side to stabilize him before going back to tying the knot.
He hadn't seemed to notice how close his hands had been to Jimin's intimacy, and how extremely suspicious it was for Taehyung who was sitting next to them.
Jimin however, didn't seem fazed, he'd simply raised the box slightly as if to give Jungkook more room, making it seem even more unusual for Taehyung
"Thanks." He said, hands dropping down again before he sat crossed legged in front of them, Taehyung still switching his gaze from one of them to the other.
"Just classmates my ass." He mumbled, before Jungkook slapped his shoulder, making him groan in pain.
Unaffected by their bantering, Jimin reached into the box, carefully taking one fluff ball between his small hands, Jungkook noticing them too were tatted up, some drawings even reaching the middle of his fingers.
He raised it in front of him, their eyes meeting, before settling it on his lap and caressing it softly.
"Jungkook." Taehyung cooed, forgetting about the pain in his shoulder to reach for a kitten as well. "why did you have to bring kittens?"
He took one in each hand, also placing them on his lap as they slowly started to claw at his thighs, Taehyung busting his biggest uwus as he held his hand to his throbbing heart.
Jungkook chuckled, looking down at the box softly as well, before his eyes trailed to Jimin.
He looked adorable, though Jungkook hated to admit it. His long hair was pushed to the side, fluffier than usual from the blowdry, a soft smile graced his plump lips as he looked down at the kitten on his lap fondly. Tattoos peeked from the huge sweater that engulfed him, and his small hands stroked the kitten softly, the sweater sleeved pulled back by the handcuffs.
It was a very rare juxtaposition.
Although he smiled, his eyes held a droopy blue filter to them that made him seem like he was reminiscing on a lost loved one.
A phone rang interrupting the soft moment and breaking Jungkook from his daze.
Jimin picked up the phone Jungkook had placed on the coffee table, noticing it was his mother calling him.
Another wave of heart wrenching feelings brushed over his features before he answered the phone under the curious eyes of both Taehyung and Jungkook.
They could hear someone talking on the other end, but not quite what they said. And Jimin didn't give off many clues, simply humming at whatever was being said before he hung up.
"I have to go home." He said, a painfully obvious fake smile on his lips as he stood up.
Jungkook stood up as well, taking the plastic bag full of Jimin's drenched clothes and handing it to the boy, eyeing him with worry.
"You can stay you know." He said, though he couldn't help but glare at Jimin, not baring the thought of seeming to welcoming to the point Jimin got too comfortable.
But he was worried. About the handcuffs, the saddened look, the bruises still hueing on his cheek and his suspicions of his parents mistreatment.
If Jimin was scared of going home, Jungkook would never force him to.
Jimin looked up, smiling warmly.
"No, I have to go." he said, thanking him as he took the bag.
"Yah! Jungkook, you're cute and all but i can't keep seven kittens."
Jimin chuckled, stepping to the box and picking it up swiftly, placing it on his hip.
"I'll take care of it."
Taehyung beemd. "Thanks Jimin, it was nice meeting ya, come over whenever."
Jimin nodded with a hesitant smile, bowing deeply before walking out.
It was still pouring outside, and Taehyung smirked as he picked the umbrella up from the hanger, skipping towards them with a devilish smile upon his features.
"Well won't you look at that, it's still raining outside." He said as he smirked in Jungkook's direction. "And with Jimin holding the box and the bag with his clothes he won't be able to hold and umbrella."
He pulled the smuggest face he could muster as he leaned against the doorframe, looking at Jungkook with expectant eyes before the younger grabbed the umbrella with force, glaring at him.
"I'll walk you home." he grumbled as he opened the umbrella in front of them, and stepped into the rain.
Jimin looked down at the box of kittens as they walked silently, until he took a deep breath.
"You're being awfully nice." He said softly. "Should i be worried?"
Jungkook glared at him, that same disdainful look he held when at school.
"Do you want to walk the rest of the way in the rain?" He asked with a raised brow, to which Jimin chuckled and shook his head.
"Thanks." he said again after a few moments of silence.
