Chapter 7: Gone.

I, AM SO SORRY. I AM SO, SO, SO UNEXPLAINABLY  SORRY. I HAD FORGOTTEN TO UPDATE THIS, IT'S BEEN AGES. *BOWES* GOMEN!

"She's gone!" Jake exclaimed as he entered Emily's house.

"Who is?" Sam asked, pulling a chicken bone out of his mouth.

Jake looked around, seeing the pack was here. Was there a meeting he had missed? "TORI! She's cleared her wardrobe and all her stuff is gone!"

This caught the attention of everyone in the room. "What!" A few of them yelled, running to Jake. "Her motorbike's missing to!" Becca exclaimed, coming up from behind her brothers, tears in her eyes.

"Guys!" A faint voice called, and Kathleen rounded the corner. "She left a note," the blonde held up a folded piece of baby blue paper.

Jake opened it, "Dear losers," he began. "I have come to realize what a bitch I am and how much you all hate me. I think you guys forget the shit I've been through because you're too busy admiring you 'muscles' in the mirror. It's up to you whether or not you want to believe that I launched myself off the cliff again, but don't worry, you guys never wanted to see me again anyway. I'm sorry for screwing up so much. I tried. Hate you always, Tori."

There was silence and every felt weight on the chest. "What's on the back?" Emily whispered raspily, tears running down her cheeks.

Jake flipped it and scanned the words, his heart dropping even further, seeing it was a song. He looked up at his pack-mates and the others.

"She's been singing this song for a while," he said, and then looked directly at Seth. "It's about you."

The younger boys eyes widened, and he stepped forward to take the paper. Jake looked down at it first. "Dear Seth, I'm sorry I couldn't admit I loved you when I did. Enjoy your life with Lynn, Love Tori," he read the small note at the top, before handing the letter to Seth.

The lyrics were set out professionally, and Seth read them out-loud.

"What you don't know, what you can't see, what you don't realize you once had until you see that it's not for real. And as for us, it's not unclear. The clouds ain't always bad if when they fade it's love, that they reveal." Tears began to fill his eyes at the next words he read aloud.

"And I'm moving on, 'cause he set me free. And I'm trying to be as much as myself as if you were, here with me, and now I'm feeling lost, but it's not unheard. While you go on living your life I'm still stuck here, living in your words."

The note was crumpled in his large hands.

The realization of what she might have done filled the room, and ended in Seth scrambling out of the house and eventually followed by his gloom pack mates; he was destined to recover the one he loved, hoping she had not jumped.

~

I finished writing the letter, and I left it on my pillow. I'm sure they'll find it there.

I dragged my stuff outside and into the shed. How the hell was I supposed to carry all this crap?

I looked from my motorbike, to my red and black suitcases. I am NOT leaving my stuff here. Sighing heavily, feeling defeated I sat down on the largest case and folded my arms.

Before I could stop them, tears brimmed in my eyes. What the hell was I doing right now? Running away in fear of something that has always seemed pointless? Love?

My own Father, my own pack, the boy I love...even my siblings sometimes. They have forgotten me. I no longer matter to anybody. I guess as long as they all have someone, it doesn't matter.

I will be gone anyway.

I wish...I wish they loved me more.

The sudden growl of an engine got my attention. My head snapped up to gaze down the road as a red Ferrari approached at a dangerous speed. The person came closer into view, and I caught the stench of a vampire.

When she got out, I was so ready to take her down it was almost comical. "I'm guessing you're Tori?" She asked as she got out. I instantly recognized her accent as Australian.

"Yes..." I said cautiously, taking in her odd appearance.

This kid couldn't be any older than fourteen. Her legs were covered in a black lace material, and she had black tall ankle boots. Black shorts, the same lace material on her stomach and a short, long sleeved leather jacket.

Her pale skin was clear and as vampuric as ever, and she wore black sunglasses, and guess what colour her hair was? Yes, that was black to. They seemed to be the only colours she enjoyed.

The only thing out of it was her red ruby lips.

When she took over her glasses I noticed her eyes were the same colour as her lips. "I'm Harper...there's no need to look at me like that you know."

I must have looked judge mental or something.

There was another girl in the car, Asian, most likely Japanese. Her eyes were hazel. "That's Kairi...is something wrong? Alice said you were expecting us is all."

I blinked in confusion before realising Alice must have seen me struggle with the bags before this. Harper used her speed to put them in the back, and invited me in.

Awkwardly, I sat beside this rabbit (yes, it was alive) that had red eyes as well. "It's not a vampire rabbit, that's an actual breed," Kairi told me, and I realized she was a lot warmer than Harper.

Climbing back in, Harper turned to me and smiled slightly, to which I returned the gesture. "You seem cool," she said, before reversing quite violently and spinning to face the road again, before flooring it.

"If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?" I said, not having to yell because I knew that even if I was to whisper, they'd still hear me.

Harper and Kairi looked at each other with devilish grins. "Well, let's see," Harper replied. "Just before I was bitten, my parents tried to force me into marriage with King Henry the Eighth!"

There was no point in hiding my shock. My jaw fell open and I stared at her in disbelief. "You...that's like, the 1500's!" I yelled.

For a moment, Kairi looked back at me, "That makes Harp four hundred and forty seven," she concluded. And for about ten seconds I sat that in shock.

"W...What about you?"

"Little bit younger, Elizabeth the First had my parents executed, they were blamed for my crimes as a newborn."

My weak reply was, "I'm fifteen."

They laughed though, which seemed to lighten the mood. We arrived at the Cullen house, and I had to re-do my bow bun due to the effect of wind.

The two jumped out, and removed my stuff. Harper scooped up the rabbit, which had remained oddly calm in one hand. "This is Gemini, by the way."

I looked at it, and immediately guilt filled me.

"Drake," I whispered to myself. Of course the vampires heard. "Whose Drake? Boyfriend?"

I let out a somewhat stiffled laugh. "My dog."

"Where is he?"

"The house by the shed you found me in."

Harper nodded, taking a breath; and she disappeared.

I stood there, blinking and staring at where the nice goth was standing. "What just happened?" I asked aloud, to no one in particular.

"She does that a lot," Edward came beside me. "It hurt her though. to make long distances."

I wasn't sure of what to say to him, but I guess I thought it because he looked at me with a somewhat smile.

"I would say sorry for what you've been through, but I doubt it would help."

I nodded at this statement. "Yeah, is there something you wanted?" I asked the vampire, looking up at him curiously.

Edward stared at me for a moment. "Bella needs you to keep a secret."

(Short) ~Harper's POV~

When I reappeared, I opened my eyes to find an entire group staring at me curiously, before their werewolf instincts (those that were werewolves anyway) took over.

"Umm..." I said awkwardly. I spotted a small brown dog chilling on the floor of the living room, and he looked positively sad.

"Drake?" I questioned, and it's head popped up at that. Some of the werewolves yelled at me about who I am, filthy blood sucker with red eyes, blah blah blah.

"You wanna see Tori boy?" I asked, and hearing his owners name he yelped and ran towards me. Scooping him up, I took one last look at the group and said, "the girl is safer with us."

I disappeared.
