A few days later, Y/N stayed in her room, wrapped up in her covers. She sighed as she felt tears form in her eyes, but she didn’t let them fall. She didn’t hear the door open as she choked back a sob.

“Whoa. You okay?” Angel’s voice sounded.

Y/N cleared her throat before trying to hide more in the covers as he shut the door behind him.

“I’m fine, Angel. I thought you were out with Cherri,” Y/N stated, a little harsher than she meant.

“Nope. She’s busy. And what do you have against her anyway?” he asked as he sat on the bed.

Knowing he wasn’t going to leave without an answer, she unbundled herself and looked at him.

“I don’t have anything against her. She’s one of the coolest girls I’ve met,” she said.

“And yet, that sounds like a problem,” Angel pointed out.

“It’s nothing. I’ll get over it,” Y/N assured.

“Y/N, it wouldn’t be nothing if you have to get over something,” he replied, gently placing one of his hands on her arm.

She sighed then said, “I guess because you spend a lot of time with Cherri, she fits your lifestyle a lot better than me and you might get bored of me.”

Angel then realized what was going on, smirking.

“You’re jealous,” Angel said.

“Oh I knew you were gonna go there,” Y/N muttered and explained, “Look, I’ve never been really good at making friends, so for you to be that for me in the short amount of time we’ve known each other, I just don’t wanna let that go.”

His look softened as he listened to her. He sighed before putting his right arms around her.

“I get that. It’s also hard when you’re in a new place,” he replied then added, “How about tomorrow night, we go somewhere? Just you and me. I don’t know where I could take you, but I don’t think it’ll be too hard to figure something out.”

It was her turn to smirk a bit.

“Sounds like you’re asking me out,” she said.

Angel chuckled and replied, “And how would you respond if I was, Gorgeous?”

“I wouldn’t complain,” Y/N stated.

They let their foreheads rest against the other, breathing the other in.

“If only it could come sooner,” he whispered.

“I agree,” she responded.

The rest of the night, they just hung out until they decided to go to sleep.
