Chapter 30
Mari
After meeting with Michael, I headed back to Vicki's place; Mother was gone from the house and he was being well taken care of, therefore I was not going to be a sitting duck back at home in the mansion with Father. I entered the door and plopped down on the couch. As I laid my head on the back of the couch, Vicki appeared above me looking down into my eyes.
"What's up with you now?" She asked.
"You got another blunt?"
"Oh Shit," Vicki's eyebrows raised as she pivoted her weight to one side. "Let me go and get it."
I closed my eyes and waited patiently for her to return. I wasn't sure of how to feel after admitting to Michael that I was the author writing the book and spilling deep dark family secrets. He didn't seem to care much that I was exposing Father. So much had happened over the past few days, I didn't know what to include into book
Vicki returned with two blunts rolled and laying in a stash can she placed on the living room table.
"You want something to drink?"
"Yes."
"Red, White or Blush?"
"Crown Royal." I raised my head and looked at her.
"Aw, damn." She winced and went to the kitchen. She returned with two glasses of ice, a plastic jug of apple juice and a big bottle of Crown Royal Apple with about half of it already gone.
Vicki sat down and poured two drinks and handed one to me. "This should work."
I took a sip and damn near finished the entire glass. "I need another."
"What the fuck happened?" Vicki said as she poured me another drink.
"Father's on a search. He's gotten suspicious since the picture came out." I took the drink and took another small gulp.
"How do you know?"
"He had Michael follow me." I blurted. Vicki's eyes enlarged.
"Oh, damn. How did you find out?"
"I was leaving the office when he approached me. He followed me from the house."
"Damn. What did he say?"
"He said that Father was suspicious I wasn't going to class."
"Well you weren't, honestly." I added.
"I know, but Father is trying to blame me for his indiscretions! He thinks I had something to do with the picture of him and that woman."
"How? You didn't take the picture!"
"Everyone knows I didn't, but he's trying to avoid being the center of attention and point the finger at me."
"He was all about image. I see that has never changed." She quipped and took a gulp of her drink.
"I know. So Michael said that Father was searching to find out information about the author of the book too."
"Oh wow. But you got that taken care of right?" She sounded worried.
"Well here's the thing, Michael knows." I said lighting up a blunt and taking a deep inhale.
"He knows? What does he know?"
"He knows that I'm the author."
"Oh Shit."
"Yeah," I said, taking another puff and blowing out the smoke. "But he said he wouldn't tell Father."
"Do you believe him?" she asked, lighting the other blunt, taking a long pull. "Do you think you can trust him? After all he does work for Father." She blew the smoke towards the ceiling.
"I can trust him. He was very forthcoming with 2 truths and no lies concept." I smiled, taking a sip of my drink as I tapped the ash from the blunt into the ashtray.
"How so?"
"I asked him if he was sleeping with Mother." Vicki leaned forward and instantly blew out her smoke.
"He is, isn't he?" She sat on the edge waiting for my answer.
"Yes, he admitted that he is." I smiled. Vicki and I were happy that Mother was with someone other than Father. "She's been smiling a lot lately, especially around him. I figured something was going on between him."
"Can you blame her?" Vicki sat back and took another sip of her drink. "With Father fucking someone else on the regular, she needs to get hers off too. And Michael is just the right person."
I smiled, thinking about my time with him. It was brief, never spoken but I must admit was a good fuck. "I think it's more with them though." I pulled on the blunt again and tapped off the ash.
"You think?"
"Yeah. You should see the two of them. When they look at each other, they linger and Mother blushes. Father doesn't even look at her."
"True. Well, if they do have a relationship, Father will never give her a divorce." Vicki voiced.
"True. But he might give her a quiet separation. I don't think he would broadcast it because that would admit he had done something wrong, and clearly he would never do that." I said sarcastically.
Vicki chuckled, "Clearly, he would never." She poured her another drink and refilled my glass. "She could move to the back of the property if she wanted to, though, to the Lakehouse. It even has its own private entrance."
"That would work for her and Michael. I'm sure Father would fire him as soon as he found out that his assistant was fucking his wife."
"Oh no doubt."
"Which is why he asked me to let him know before I blow the cover on Father because he's working on something." I said.
"Interesting. He's probably wanting time to tie up loose ends on whatever he's doing. Well I'm sure this shit storm will grow with or without your book. It was just the catalyst to what is inevitable to come."
"True." I thought about everything that Father had done and how he became the person he was.
From what I understood, all of the men in the Worthington family were the same. All of them lived high profiled lives, either in finance, law, and real estate. Through the ages some were always in the spotlight, whereas others would live their lives under the radar. Randall was similar to Father, married with children and cheating on his wife. It was like it's in the DNA; suddenly Bryan David Gaites came into my mind.
"Quick question, do you want to meet our brother?" I randomly asked. I pulled out my phone and scrolled to the messenger app.
"Sure, why not. When? Maybe we can find out what life was like being a Worthington outside the compound gates."
"Let me ask to see when he would be available." I said typing in the message to Bryan. "I would love to hear what he thinks about this shit that's going on."
"Right? You said he knows all about us. I'm sure he is laughing his ass off about Father."
"I bet too." I received a message from Bryan. "Oh, he's free now if you want to meet up."
"Why not? Shit, I work from home tomorrow so I'm good to go. Besides, it's not that late that we can grab something to eat."
"Cool. I'll let him know. Where do you want to meet?"
"We can go to Anto Pizza Chicago, they have pizza and pasta."
"That sounds about right. I'll let him know." I quickly messaged him the location of the restaurant. He answered back immediately.
Vicki gathered the glasses and the CR, placing them back in the kitchen. "I'll call a car so we don't have to drive."
"That sounds like a plan. I think we are going to enjoy this evening with our brother." We were excited to finally meet our brother and learn more about our family.

Madeline
Bryan Worthington is one unique individual. I had my fair share of men and I could honestly say, he stood out the most. But he just had a way of making me feel magnificent. I had taken him on my business trip to make a merger in Paris. I hadn't thought about anyone but him to go along with; I wasn't sure he would actually go along because of Angela.
I knew he was married, everyone knew. But Bryan and I have a lot of history together. Meeting him at the conference was the start of something beautiful. I was there with my son, Dion, promoting my hair care business.
While I left Dion talking with Bryan's son, Randall, I walked around the facility with Bryan, getting to know him a bit more. That was when I found out that he was one hell of a man, interesting and married. I thought I had no chance in hell with him but he made himself very clear that he was interested as we fucked in the Maintenance Room of the facility. He told me that he wanted to see me again.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to, not because he was married, but because I was attracted to his entire being. I loved a man in control, yet I didn't want one to control me. I didn't want a man, significant other, or husband. I wanted to fuck who I wanted , whenever I wanted, where ever I wanted and how ever long I wanted to.
Bryan was just the person I was looking for because he didn't want anything from me. He didn't want love, just sex and that was all I was willing to give. I didn't care about his wife because, I'm sure she knew he was like he was, and yet she stayed with him. People have their reasons for doing what they do and I have mine.
After I satisfied Bryan, as I normally do, he decided to stay around for a while. It was out of the ordinary because he normally would leave shortly after our sex session. I only imagined he was still disturbed by the unflattering attention he was getting. I had no idea our being together in Paris, no doubt, would be interesting entertainment. I offered him a glass of wine as we sat in the living room and talked. I figured I could let him relax a bit to get outside his head.
"Thank you Madeline." He took a sip of wine as he sat next to me on the couch.
"You are more than welcome, Bryan. You are always satisfying." I smiled.
Suddenly my son, Dion, came in for a visit. I hadn't expected him but it's always nice to see him.
"Mother, are you here?" He sang from the door as he entered. He made my heart full each time I got the chance to meet him. Dion has been so busy living his life to the fullest, sometimes I feel we have to set an appointment to see each other.
"I'm in here Dion!" I smiled as I stood up to greet him as he approached. "How's my baby doing?" I said embracing him as he entered the living room.
"I'm good, Mother." He turned and saw Bryan sitting on the couch. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know you had company."
"Bryan, do you remember my son, Dion?" I turned towards him on the couch.
"Yes, I do. How are you, young man?" He said as Dion walked over to greet him.
"I'm well, Mr. Worthington. Nice to meet you again, Sir." He said, giving Bryan a hearty handshake.
"Good to see you again as well." Bryan smiled and nodded.
"Are you staying over tonight, Dion?"
"Yes, I have an event I'm attending close by so I figured I'll hang out here for a minute before heading over."
"But you'll be back tonight, right?" I asked.
"Yes, Mother. I will be coming back, but I can't tell you when. But I can promise I'll be back."
"That's all I ask." I smiled at my one and only. He was my precious boy.
"Well, I'm going to get ready in the other room. Nice to see you again Mr. Worthington." He said waving and walking to the back bedroom.
"Good looking young man." Bryan nodded as he sat down, picking up his glass of wine.
"Yes he is. He's my one and only."
"When is he getting married to continue the bloodline?" Bryan asked. I looked at him as I had forgotten to whom I was talking to. Bryan was cut from a different cloth. He believed the old school shit of arranged marriage and getting married for money.
"Oh, that'll never happen with Dion." I said taking a sip of wine.
"What, he doesn't want to get married?"
"No, I'm sure he does and probably will when he finds the right one. But he won't carry on the family bloodline." Bryan looked at me bewildered.
"Why not? He can't find a good woman who would produce a worthy heir?" he asked. I chuckled, almost choking on my wine.
"I'm sorry, but no. He'll probably adopt, but that would be a decision between him and his partner."
"Is there something wrong with his minutemen?" he asked personally. This man was relentless. I shook my head and wondered how he could be so dense.
"Um, I don't know as it's not something that I keep track of." I shifted myself on the couch looking at him trying to understand how this man thinks.
"Do you need help in finding a suitable woman? I know plenty of families with daughters who are ready to wed."
"No, there is no need?" I answered.
"No need? Why not?" He asked, looking at me, patiently waiting for the answer.
"Because Dion is gay." The look he gave me was a surprisingly look of disgust.
"Gay?!" He blurted.
"Yes. Dion is gay. As in, he likes men."
"Appalling! You can't be serious?"
"Yes, yes, I am. Why? Do you have a problem with gay people?" I asked, getting offended.
"They can do whatever they want to do, but I would never have my son as a Gay!" He huffed.
"Oh really? So you mean to tell me if Randall came to you and told you he was gay, you would hate him?"
"No, I wouldn't hate him," he said. "But I would disown him."
"You would disown your own son, because he was gay?" I sat back and held my hand to my chest.
"Yes." He proudly answered. I was so thrown, I didn't know how to respond.
"But you have your daughter, Mari, arranged to be married to Jeffrey Abrams! He's so gay!"
"That is business. It doesn't matter. She is my daughter, therefore she marries whom I choose for her. Besides, he's not MY son." I sat back and looked at him.
I didn't know Bryan felt that way at all. He was a bigot and homophobic. I could only imagine what else was wrong with him. What a waste of such good dick.
I looked at him as I couldn't bear to tell him that Randall and Dion have been in a relationship for over a year. Dion informed me the first night they were together. He said he had fallen in love with Randall the first time he met him. It was Randall's first time with a man, making it more special to Dion that he had the pleasure of deflowering him.
Bryan left shortly after our conversation turned a bit uncomfortable. I couldn't believe the man that I had wonderful sexual encounters with, felt that way. I must find a way for him to release those ideas and find out that people are just simply people; No matter the gender - love is love.
