Chapter 21

Marianna

It was late at night when Jaidi decided to stop by the house. It was damn near midnight and Randall hadn't arrived home. I wasn't upset, I was tired of being upset, it was time for me to get even. Jaidi pulled up to the door and quickly got out.

"Girl, what is going on!" I softly yelled at her, it was late and I didn't need any of the staff on the grounds talking about me and my family in the corridors like they normally do. I've seen the movie and read the book 'The Help' and I'm sure they already had enough to talk about with his father and sister at the main house.

"We gotta talk," She said, stumbling up the stairs. "I need to pee first." She took off her shoes and ran directly to the bathroom.

"Come to the family room!" I screamed, grabbing her shoes and closing the door.

I sat on the couch flipping through channels when Jaidi returned. She stopped by the bar space on the opposite side of the room and grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge.

"Okay, so what brings you over here this late?"

"Is Randall here?" She said looking around.

"No."

"Figures," She opened her water and took a long drink. "Well, I talked with Jeffrey and he had a lot to say about Randall." She crossed her legs while taking another drink.

"Fill me in." I said turning down the volume on the television. The kids were in bed and at this time, Randall had no intention of returning home.

"Ok, so Jeffrey is definitely gay. So that may be the reason he doesn't want his sister to get married to him."

"Ok, but...," I answered expecting her to bring me more information than just that Randall is mad because he's gay.

"But, it seems as though he and Randall know each other extremely well."

"How well?"

"So well to the point they had a secret relationship that no one knew about." Jaidi revealed something I wasn't ready for.

"A what?" I had heard incorrectly. I just knew I did.

"Randall and Jeffrey were in a relationship." Jaidi could have spelled it out for me, I still wouldn't understand what she was saying.

"What the fuck? Randall is gay!"

"Well no, honey. He's with you, so he's bisexual." Jaidi plainly said. She was loving it, I watched her smirk as she drank the rest of her water.

"You're lying." I came closer to her.

"I wish I was honey, but no. Your husband is bisexual."

"So he's been cheating on me with a man?"

"Well, he goes both ways, honey. So it's a possibility." She answered.

"So now I need to find out who he's been fucking."

"Yep." Jaidi helped herself to a few grapes from the mini fridge again. "I do have a name."

I turned to look at her, still trying to digest the information Jaidi just announced. "You have a name?"

"Yes. I have someone you could start with."

"Wait, what? Who?"

"I was talking with Jeffrey at the club," She popped a few grapes in her mouth and pulled the small throw blanket over her legs. "Jeffrey is very talkative. I guess because he feels Randall did him wrong and he's never really gotten over it."

"How long was the relationship?" I asked. If he hadn't gotten over the relationship it may be a good chance, they were together for a while.

"I think about a few years, from my understanding it was at least two years in high school and all through college." She floored me; Randall had been in a relationship for at least 6 years with Jeffrey.

"His father definitely didn't know about it. Randall would have gotten disowned."

"Why? Because he's bisexual?"

"Yes. His father is unbelievably evil." I said looking down at my wedding ring. "Had I known, I don't think I would have married him."

"I understand. But he loved you at one point, and you loved him."

"Yeah, but I would never be able to satisfy him fully." I felt used. I cared for him but I questioned if he ever fully cared for me.

"How do you figure? He married you and had three kids with you."

"Yeah, I know but what if he did it because he had no choice? He couldn't be with who he really wanted to be with and he didn't want to be disowned by his father." I stated. "I mean, look how easy it is for him now to just go out and fuck someone else!"

Jaidi thought for a moment and nodded. "You may have a point. So what are you going to do?"

"I don't know." I was frustrated. I felt like I wasted a huge part of my life. I could have married at least someone who wouldn't keep deep ass secrets like that.

"Are you going to ask him about it?"

"I don't think so, that didn't go well when I mentioned it to him before. I might go to Mari, she has to know about Jeffrey. I want to see where her head is on this subject."

"That would be a good person to start with." Jaidi responded snuggling down on the couch. "You don't mind if I crash here right?"

"No, the kids will love to see you in the morning." I laughed. She rolled her eyes.

"Tell them not to wake me up too early."

"Yeah right." I laughed. "Hey, didn't you say you had a name?"

"I did. But before I tell you this, I need you to think about the information I'm about to give you and see how you can use it against Randall."

"Damn, it's like that?" Jaidi nodded, repositioning herself getting comfy on the couch, pulling the pillows underneath her head.

"Ok, so from my understanding Jeffrey is also upset with Randall because Randall has been seeing another person recently."

"Randall has been out and about with this person?"

"Apparently. Places, I'm sure his father would never frequent."

"I'm sure of that as well. Well, damn." I shook my head. "Who is this person?"

"His name is Dion. Dion Riviera."

"And how long have they been together?"

"Almost a year, if not already a year. Give or take a few months." Jaidi removed her earrings and pinned her hair up in a messy bun.

"Wow. I had a feeling he was involved with someone, but I wasn't sure until I saw the love bites the other night."

"And you didn't mention them?"

"No. I was already taking advantage of the situation one way, being clueless about what was really going on."

"What have you been doing besides the YouTube channel?"

"Well, Randall has been adding to my secret personal fund."

"Oh wow, okay. Well what's your next move?"

"I don't know yet. I'll tell you after I speak with Dion."

Mari

I was laying in the bed in the spare room, just about to turn off the lights when I received a text 0notification.

I opened my text messages and it was a picture. I didn't know who sent it to me, it was from an unknown number, but it was a picture of Father and he wasn't alone. He looked as if he was in Paris with some woman I had never seen before. I thought he went away for business and I saw he went away for pussy.

I received another message, the picture was included in an article that had yet to be printed. The message gave two words: After You. I wasn't sure how to take the information or how much the person knew about me, but I felt this was an opportunity that was fresh and needed to be known. I immediately took the information and ran with it, pulling out my laptop and feverishly writing a chapter about the picture being found of the prestigious doctor with someone other than his wife.

My brain released all of the information into the chapter, creating drama and deceit that the readers would absolutely love. I was impressed with myself while proofreading it, ensuring it read well for others. I uploaded the chapter and it instantly obtained views. It was like the readers were sitting and waiting for the newest chapter. I wondered if Father would get the information before he arrived back in town.

That was going to be a wait and see situation.

I received another text after I closed my laptop; It was from the same unknown number. It was a screenshot of my online book! This person is a follower! It was creepy and surreal at the same time. They sent a thumbs up thereafter and ended communication. Apparently, this person has some vendetta against Father; Honestly, I'm not surprised as he's mistreated so many people.

Just as I was about to put my phone away, I received another text - it made me smile.

[Mystery] Hey Boo, how you doing?

[Mari] I'm good. You in town?

[Mystery] You know it. Want me to scoop you?

[Mari] I'm not home. I'm at my sister's.

[Mystery] I'm on my way. I'll text you when I'm out front.

[Mari] Bet.

It seemed as though my plans had changed for the better. I had someone who I needed to see as it had been a while. He was the one who could scratch that itch just right for me. He was a singer with TS Entertainment, which is why I couldn't tell Vicki. Besides, I wanted to keep him in the dark about my family altogether. The last thing I needed was to be mentioned in the news with him, that would bring so much attention to my family, especially since I'm engaged to Jeffrey.

I was ready to go by the time he texted. I grabbed a small overnight bag and left. Vicki and Jacobi were knocked out so I just grabbed the spare key and locked the door. I scurried over to his car and jumped in. There he was, I hadn't seen him in a while. I kissed him hard as he wrapped his arms around me.

"Hey Shawty, ya missed me huh?"

"I did." I smiled sitting down in the seat pulling on my seatbelt. He locked the doors and we left, most likely over to his crib for a night of incredible and uninhibited sex.

"I missed you too." He leaned over and gave me a quick peck upon my lips.

I sat back in the seat as he drove off down the street. We drove along Lake Shore Drive, stopping at the park along the lake. It was late but we didn't care. We wanted to just have a moment before we hit the sheets. We walked along the huge concrete seats along the edge, looking at the skyline lit up at night; the city had a golden glow at night from all of the lights.

"So whatcha been up to?" He asked as he held me from behind as we sat on the concrete steps.

"Nothing much. I've been writing a lot. My story has gone viral."

"Congratulations baby." He kissed me on my cheek.

"How have you been doing?" I laced my fingers with his as he held me close. I leaned my head back against his chest; I could smell his cologne and feel the warmth through his shirt.

"I've been doing well to be honest. They have been keeping me busy, you already know."

"Yeah, you're doing really well. I'm proud of you baby."

"Thank you." He kissed me again. "Let's go, I've been waiting to feel you. I can't wait any longer."

I stood up and turned around. He stood up and cupped my face. He kissed me gently and slowly, his tongue dancing with mine. I loved our secret rendezvous. He was a rising R&B star and I was who I was. I didn't want him to have any hiccups in his career because of me. The less people who knew about us, the better it was for both of us.

The last thing I needed was to have pictures of me with him and Father gets wind of it. Father and his society would end his career immediately and I would be labeled difficult in Father's eyes.
